The following is about significant events for Ninjago that happened in 2020.

In the United States, the remaining episodes of Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu aired in the US. Two months later, Prime Empire began airing in March in select countries while Master of the Mountain would air in July. Meanwhile, the US began airing Prime Empire and Master of the Mountain starting in July and lasting all the way until late October.

This year also marked the passing of Kirby Morrow, who sadly passed away on November 18, 2020.

January

• 1 - Ninjago: Legacy Wave 2 and Prime Empire sets released worldwide.
• 4 - "Krag's Lament", and "Secret of the Wolf" aired in the US.
• 7 - "Let's Dance" was released.
• 11 - "The Last of the Formlings", and "My Enemy, My Friend" aired in the US.
• 13 - "Upgrade" was released.
• 18 - "The Kaiju Protocol", and "Corruption" aired in the US.
• 25 - "A Fragile Hope", and "Once and for All" aired in the US.

February

• 1 - Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu ended in the US with the final airing being "Awakenings".
• 5 - The first Prime Empire teaser was released.

March

• 2 - "The Stowaway" was released.
• 3 - "Manhunt" was released.
• 15 - "The Arcadian Whip" was released.
• 21 - Season 12 begun in Asia with episodes "Would You Like to Enter Prime Empire?" and "Dyer Island".
• 29 - "Level Thirteen" and "Superstar Rockin' Jay" aired in Asia.

April

• 5 - "I am Okino" and "The Glitch" aired in Australia.
• 12 - "The Cliffs of Hysteria" and "The Maze of the Red Dragon" aired in Australia.
• 18 - "One Step Forward, Two Steps Back" and "Racer Seven" aired in Australia.
• 19 - "The Speedway Five-Billion" and Stop, Drop and Side Scroll" aired in Australia.
