- This year marks the five-year anniversary of the final five episodes of Ninjago: Decoded, Sons of Garmadon, Hunted and Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu, and the ten-year anniversary of Warriors of Stone, Stone Cold, and Destiny of Doom. For the exact dates, see 2018 and 2013.
- This is the first year of a 10th anniversary without a season celebrating it, as in 2013 no season was released.
- This is the first year in which Ninjago does not have a new line of ninja suits in the first half of the year.
- Instead, only Lloyd got a new ninja suit.
