4002021 The Temple of Celebrations is a LEGO employee gift. It includes Golden Legacy Lloyd, Cole, Nya, Jay, Zane and Kai, casual Misako, Santa Garmadon, Mezmo, a Hypnobrai kid, the Temple of Celebrations, a Christmas tree, a dragon, and Garmadon's sleigh.
Designer's notes
"For all you worried ninjas out there: Knowing that a lot of you might want to build your own copy of this otherwise extremely rare set, we made sure that we didn't use any exclusive elements, minifigures or stickers. As such we hope some of you will be able to source the bricks to enjoy this little holiday treat from the Ninjago team :)"[1]
Trivia
- Although the set does not contain any newly printed pieces on minifigures, Golden Legacy Wu, causal Misako, Santa Garmadon and the Hypnobrai kid are exclusive.
- The dragon included in the set is strikingly similar to Chompy.
- The set is similar to the 70751 Temple of Airjitzu, as both are temples of a similar color scheme and design, encompassing all the ninja, Wu and Misako, depicting a normal part of the ninja's life outside of the battles.
- According to Tommy Andreasen, "the existence of this set DOES NOT establish Christmas as canon in Ninjago!"[2]
- Tommy Andreasen wrote 6 Christmas poems for this set's instructions, though not all of them were included.[3]
- This is the only set to contain all the Golden Legacy ninja.
- The set contains a mini model of 71741 Ninjago City Gardens.
