Trivia
- This is the third Ninjago set to be based on the Destiny's Bounty after 9446 Destiny's Bounty in 2012 and 70738 Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty in 2015. Of all three versions, this one is the smallest.
- This is also the only version of the Bounty to not feature a mast, instead sporting wings on either side.
- This is probably because the Destiny's Shadow is not the actual Bounty but is only based on it.
- Cole's Fusion minifigure is exclusive to this set (but appeared in a foil pack).
- Vermin is also exclusive to this set, however, he has the same appearance as Slackjaw, though with an armor piece.
- This set is similar to the 70650 Destiny's Wing and 70677 Land Bounty, as they are all variations of the Destiny's Bounty.
- This is the cheapest way to get Lloyd in his Fusion suit, though he lacks the shoulder armor he wears in 70626 Dawn of Iron Doom.
- This set made its first appearance in the episode "Secrets Discovered."
- This set was the cheapest way to get the Pause Time Blade.
