- This is the second set to have Koko in her Lady Iron Dragon outfit, the first being 70629 Piranha Attack.
- According to a LEGO catalog, the shark army warriors' names are Mike the Spike and Crusher, and the news reporter's name is Fred Finley. However, Mike the Spike is also in 70614 Lightning Jet and is called Krusty. It is unknown which is the official name.
