Trivia[]
- This is the only Elemental vehicle that wasn't remade in the Ninjago: Legacy line.
- 70502 Cole's Earth Driller was chosen over this vehicle for the Legacy line because the Earth Driller is more recognizable and the Tread Assault would have had to be more modified from its original design due to the standards being different from those in 2012.[2]
- This is the only Elemental vehicle to have a shooter in the Rise of the Snakes sets.
- This changed when Legacy remakes of the Storm Glider and Snowmobile got stud shooters.
- The Tread Assault flips over, and on the underside, there are many green-colored bricks to make it look like a snake vehicle if Cole is on an undercover mission or a Fangpyre bit the vehicle.
- This set is similar to 9445 Fangpyre Truck Ambush, as they are both 4x4s about the same size, and are both used in Rise of the Snakes.
- This set was the cheapest way to get Skales.
