Aerial drones[1] are drones that live in Prime Empire. The red drones used work for Unagami and were a part of his army, having been programmed to bring the cubed players to Unagami for his machine.

One of Unagami's aerial drones could be seen in a commercial advertising Prime Empire and when the gamers are playing the game.
Prime Empire
Dyer Island
A drone can be seen while gamers are playing Prime Empire.
Level Thirteen
An aerial drone can be seen while Cole is playing Prime Empire. Also, an aerial drone passes by after the ninja arrive in the Gamer's Market.
Superstar Rockin' Jay
The aerial drones begin chasing the ninja and the League of Jay. The League of Jay is able to attack most of the drones, but the ninja choose to help. They prove to be ineffective and Kai is even blasted off one and dies. The League of Jay then distracts the drones while the ninja are given the password to Scott's Garage and escape.
I am Okino
An aerial drone comes by every time a gamer loses all of his lives to pick up the Energy cubes.
The Cliffs of Hysteria
The aerial drones as well as the Red Visors chase the ninja as they climb the Cliffs of Hysteria. During the climb, Kai makes a risky move by jumping on one of the aerial drones. It ends up working as Kai uses the drone to destroy most of the Red Visors as well as the other drones.
The Maze of the Red Dragon (flashback)
Unagami's drones appeared in Okino's flashback.
One Step Forward, Two Steps Back
A blue aerial drone picked up the dancers after they were disqualified.
Racer Seven
An aerial drone passes by when Lloyd is talking to Racer Seven.
The Speedway Five-Billion
One of Unagami's drones picked up Scott's Energy Cube.
Stop, Drop and Side Scroll
After Lloyd was cubed, one of Unagami's drones took Lloyd's Energy Cube away.
The Prodigal Father (flashback)
When Scott is playing Prime Empire, an aerial drone can be seen.
The Temple of Madness
The aerial drones are seen sorting the Energy cubes when Jay arrives. After the Manifestation Gate is opened, all of the drones from Prime Empire head to the Temple of Madness to cross into Ninjago.
