The grappling hook is a ninja weapon used by Arin.
History[]
At some point after The Merge, Arin obtained a grappling hook, which he uses to get around places or as a weapon.
Dragons Rising, Season 1[]
The Merge: Part 1[]
Arin uses his grappling hook while distracting some Security Bots by going around them. He later uses it to pull himself and Sora up when a car nearly runs them over. He uses it again to reach his penthouse, but hurts himself in the process.
He later uses it to secure himself to the SA Mark 01 after Riyu gave Sora power to turn it into a mech.
The Merge: Part 2[]
After Lloyd saved them, Arin used his grappling hook to land on top of the prison train. Later, he used it again to get to the back of the train to release Riyu.
During their fight against the Claws at the Land of the Three Mountains, Arin wraps his grapple around a tree for a Claw to hit the wire as he flew at it on his hover chariot.
Crossroads Carnival[]
Arin uses his grappling hook to grab onto the Whack Rats' truck and skate on a trash can lid after the Whack Rats kidnapped Lobbo. He later used it to pull down a wrecked car at some Whack Rats, and to bring a gramophone horn towards him while facing Dorama's puppet.
Beyond Madness[]
Arin uses his grappling hook to reach the top of the wall when the damaged Destiny's Bounty returned. He later used it to get on the Bounty. Upon reaching the Kingdom of Madness, Arin uses his grappling hook to swing down to the ground to fight the Craglings.
Writers of Destiny[]
Arin used his grappling hook to save Kai, Nya, and two Writers of Destiny from falling. Later, after he and Sora were falling, he attempted to use his grappling hook to stop their fall, but it couldn't reach the nearby building. Luckily, Euphrasia saved them.
After another MergeQuake appeared, Arin rushed into the Cloud Kingdom archives and used his grappling hook to pull Lloyd down from his worm cocoon. Later, he used it to latch onto the SA Mark 01, and again to help drag a tentacled beast back to the MergeQuake.
Return to Imperium[]
Arin used his grappling hook to knock aside some Claw Hunters that were subduing the dragon Jiro.
Mindless Beasts[]
Arin used his grappling hook to swing around a lamppost while on a stolen hoverboard as he attempted to get away from some drones. He later used it to save the Imperium Teen Protection Force from falling.
The Calm Inside[]
Arin used his grappling hook to allow him and Sora to enter Imperium Palace, and tried to lower themselves down to save Riyu, but they had to stop when Beatrix, Dr. LaRow, and Ras entered the room.
The Battle of the Second Monastery[]
While battling Ras, Arin attempted to use his grappling hook to gain the high ground, but Ras threw his hammer at the hook, causing Arin to fall.
The Temple of the Dragon Cores[]
Arin uses his grappling hook to pull a sign away before it could crush an elderly woman,
The Administration[]
Arin uses his grappling hook to rappel Lloyd and himself to the top of a wall to get a better view of The Administration. He later uses it to pull a Munce agent away from Lloyd, who was in a stolen Master Mech.
The Power Within[]
Arin had a plan to defeat Beatrix using his grappling hook. However, the grappling hook was sucked into a MergeQuake rift before he could carry out his plan. He later uses a backup one to swing onto a bridge after rescuing a dog.
The Elemental Mechs[]
What the Mech?[]
Arin uses his grappling hook to get on the back of Sora's Elemental Tech Mech in order to reach Lobbo and calm him down.
The Mech Master[]
Arin uses his grappling hook to reach The Mechanic.
A Pain in the Mech! (flashback)[]
Arin uses his grappling hook to swing towards Lava-Tony to block his escape.
Dragons Rising, Season 2[]
The Blood Moon (screen)[]
Arin uses his grappling hook to swing over to safe some breakdancers about to be attacked by the Mechanic.
Shattered Dreams[]
Arin uses his grappling hook to get himself, Lloyd, Zane, and Sora onto a roof with Lloyd wishing the latter had one himself. Arin later uses it to rappel onto the Cloud Kingdom.
Beyond the Phantasm Cave[]
Arin uses his grappling hook to scale the walls of the pit leading up to the Phantasm Cave.
To Mysterium[]
Arin uses his grappling hook during a lesson, inadvertently bumping into Kai in the process.
The Forest of Spirits[]
Arin used his grappling hook when fought Jordana on her Off-World Buggy.
The Shape of Motion[]
Arin used his grappling hook when he and Sora infiltrated The Administration to get into the Department of Reassignment.
Enter the City of Temples[]
Arin used his grappling hook when climbing up to enter the Tournament of the Sources. He used it to grab onto a Security Bot but got separated from the group.
They Gather for the Feast[]
Arin used his grappling hook to retrain an attacker bot but was easily defeated when the bot pull the grappling line against him.
