The Blade Cup is a large golden trophy with a shining silver blade on top, awarded to the winner of the annual Ninjago Talent. It was created by adventurer Clutch Powers using an artifact he found in a pyramid, which the ninja realized was the Constrictai Fangblade.
History[]
The Royal Blacksmiths[]
The Serpentine sought to claim the Blade Cup for the Fangblade within. To this end, Pythor commanded Lasha, Snappa, Mezmo, and Chokun to enter the competition as the Treble Makers, personally disguising himself as a judge to tilt the odds in their favor by eating the original. Cole initially planned to steal it during the show, but an argument with his father - who had won the Blade Cup in previous years (through the quartet The Royal Blacksmiths) - made him decide to win it fairly.
Despite the Serpentine's interference, the ninja won the Talent Show with getting a perfect score, forcing Pythor to change his approach - when the ninja went backstage to meet with Lou, Pythor ordered Bytar to drop sandbags on the latter. When Cole jumped in to save his father (unlocking his True Potential in the process), Pythor used the commotion as a distraction to steal the Blade Cup and make his exit.
The Forgotten Element[]
The Blade Cup eventually found its way into the hands of Chen, who displayed it in his trophy hall.
Stiix and Stones[]
Shortly thereafter, Ronin obtained the Blade Cup and put it up for sale in his pawnshop in Stiix. Cole came across it and was dismayed to find it there. Later when the ninja broke in, the Master of Earth decided to return it to his father, the rightful owner, but has to leave it in the shop.
Curseworld, Part I[]
Morro used the Blade Cup without the Fangblade as a stand for the Realm Crystal.
The Belly of the Beast[]
When Zane entered Beohernie's stomach, the Blade Cup was one of the objects inside the beast's stomach.
