Brutal Battle! is the 27th issue of the Ninjago: Legacy Magazine.
Rise of the Bone King[]
The ninja failed to stop the Greenbone Warriors from obtaining the Bone Weapons. The Bone King has been released from his mystical prison on the Sea of Sand. The Bone King says that he has been trapped underground for too long and it's time for humans to no longer be the masters of the world. He orders an attack on Ninjago City. The ninja meanwhile blame themselves for failing to stop the Greenbone warriors from obtaining the weapons. Then Master Wu comes and tells the ninja to remember the lessons of the past, that they must remain calm in the dark. Jay says that someone already locked the Bone King in his mystical prison, so they need to find out how to do it again. The ninja go to the city on dragons and vehicles and start fighting the Bone King and the Greenbone warriors, Jay meanwhile goes to the library and looks for a way to stop the Bone King. The ninja are waiting for Jay outside the library, and the greenbone warriors, together with the Bone King, advance to the center of Ninjago City. When Jay appears, he tells the other ninja that they must take the Bone King's weapons and then they will be able to defeat him. Nya decides to call the mayor. Bone King begins to rejoice, thinking that he has already won and the era of skeletons will come, but the lights turn on all over the city. The Bone King can't see anything because of the light, and at this time the Ninja attack and take his Bone Weapons. A portal opens in the sky and the Bone King is banished to the Underworld. The Ninja celebrate their victory and Cole destroys the Bone Weapons with his hammer. At the end the Bone King is seen shouting that he will get his revenge.
