Can Jay Save Nya? is the 85th issue of the Ninjago Magazine. It includes 892185 Benthomaar and Scuba Jay appears on the cover. The comic is titled The Sea Beast. It released on the 25th of January 2022 in Germany.
The Sea Beast![]
A couple of days after Nya's sacrifice, and Wojira's defeat, Jay and Kai decided to go to the beach to try to accept Nya's departure from the ninja team and from her family. Jay told Kai about Nya saving his life by removing the water in his lungs. They both later realized that being near the sea would give the same feeling of being near Nya. After their lament, Kai and Jay decided to go look for Nya.
Later, P.I.X.A.L. dropped Zane, Lloyd, Cole, Kai and Jay off at another side of the beach. After a long walk, the ninja decided to go ask some fishermen if they saw Nya in hopes to find her. All the fishermen claimed that they saw a mermaid, the confused ninja later met a child at the beach who was collecting rubbish, the child said that he didn't see Nya but he did give them a bin bag so that they could also clean the beach.
The ninja later met another fishermen, who claimed that he saw a sea monster, while another fishermen told them about a sea witch who was made out of water. The ninja later came into conclusion that all the stories that they heard were all fake.
The ninja later went to the harbor were they saw a mysterious seller trying to sell a sea monster under a big blanket, the ninja later noticed that Miss Demeanor was standing in the crowd, she was trying to obtain the sea monster to use it against Ninjago, luckily the ninja were able to stop her and her henchmen with the rubbish they got from the beach.
The ninja later realized that the sea monster was not real and the seller was actually Ronin, who diguised himself by wearing a lot of clothes to cover his identity. Miss Demeanor was arrested by the police while Ronin was given a warning by the Commissioner. The ninja later left and went to their next adventure.

- Nya's water design in the comic is actually different then the one in the sets.

Errors[]
- When Jay mentioned that Nya defeated Wojira, the flashback showed Nya prying the Storm Amulet out of Wojira's head instead of her destroying the Wave Amulet. Also, in addition, the positions of the two Amulets of Wojira are reversed, the Storm Amulet is on the front and the Wave Amulet is on top of Wojira's forehead.
- Ronin is selling a fake monster in the docks, but is under police surveillance in The Turn of the Tide and is imprisoned in Ninjago City vs. Ninja.
