The Canyon of General Unhappiness is where all of the lost generals landed after being fired out of Garmadon's volcano, and is one of challenges in the journey to the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon in the Temple of Fragile Foundations.
Before the Lost Generals' Lair was constructed, the Canyon had the appearance of an abandoned building. Thorns and vines grew all around it and it had the appearance of a ghost town. Wreckage surrounds it from an unknown cause. After the Lost Generals arrived and built lair lair though, it had the appearance of a large base with a large gate made of bamboo, in the middle of the camp is an exact replica of Garmadon’s Volcano Lair, several guard towers are placed at the gate to monitor who comes in and who goes out. The base is filled with various plants and trees as they are in a jungle. Several construction cranes can be seen, as a sign that the camp is still under construction. Some structures can also be seen, presumably to house the lost generals. At night the camp is illuminated by torch fire and the glow of the lava in the volcano.
After being fired out of the volcano the generals landed in the Canyon of General Unhappiness, the last fired general, General Number 1 assumed leadership over them, they built a guarded base where they survived. While crossing the Canyon the Ninja chose to go on the shortcut, despite Master Wu telling them to stay on the right path. When they had seen what the shortcut really was they tried to go back but were ambushed by the Lost Generals the fight ended with Garmadon and Lloyd being taken prisoner and the rest of the ninja being separated. They regrouped to save Lloyd and Garmadon following Master Wu’s teachings and fightnig in "ninja style." After rescuing them they built the Ninja Helicopter with Garmadon teaching Lloyd how to throw. Before Lloyd could throw the Ninja the last piece for the helicopter he was pushed off a guard tower by General #1 and losing his arm, but it was later recovered by Garmadon and put back on him. After saving the city from Meowthra, Koko and Nya opened a school to teach former shark generals life skills, and Canyon was presumably once again abandoned.
- The canyon's name is similar in principle to the Forest of Discontent from Season 12 of the TV series.
