Plot[]

Cole, Zane, Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, and Geo surround the unconscious Lloyd after he was cowardly attacked by Zeatrix, who was soon brought into the Ninja's quarters, restrained by the Security Bots, with Roby holding the Elemental Cup and Bleckt in order to transfer Zeatrix's powers to Lloyd as he was technically the winner of their battle, but is disappointed Lloyd is still unconscious. Roby informs them that Zeatrix will also be expelled from the City of Temples, including denial from future Tournaments, a punishment the ninja believe is not good enough. Zeatrix tries to insist her attack was out of rage, but Wyldfyre doesn't accept her "apology" and thinks there should be a better punishment for the former, which causes Zeatrix to lose her temper and attack. As the ninja and Geo prepare to fight back, Roby reminds them of the "no fighting outside the arena" rule and uses the cup to absorb her powers before the bots escort her out. Roby then tells the ninja that he will give the powers to Lloyd when he wakes up before he and Bleckt leave.

Arin immediately brings Wyldfyre to the side, revealing his suspicions for Roby when he noticed the former's cuff link's symbol was the same as the mark in the wall, furthering his suspicion of him being involved in the Arc Dragons' murders. Wyldfyre objects and wants to clear his name. When Sora offers her assistance, Arin refuses, still untrusting of her for not telling him the truth in the first place. Arin begins to remember a time he and his parents were playing their usual detective game, where he mustn't trust anyone and that they are all suspects, until proven innocent. While they sneak around Foundation Street, Wyldfyre asks Arin if he would like to watch Sora compete but he says it is the best time to do some detective work as Roby and Bleckt are not at their office. They walk up to Roby and Bleckt's office, and Wyldfyre tries to open the locked door before easily giving up, until Arin tries to think of a way to break in.

Meanwhile at the Games Plaza, Sora still can't understand what's holding her back to do Spinjitzu and she isn't sure if she will win in next match without Lloyd's help. Then, Roby announces Sora will be pitted against Frak. Cole says something seems off about Jordana and Sora tells him about their recent encounters. Sora says that Jordana and Arin could be best friends since they both ignore her and she heads to the Arena. Roby explains that the first competitor to fall off the floating platforms loses. The match begins and while fighting, Sora asks Frak why he is still on Ras' side. However, Frak tries to defend his master even though he can be strict but he doesn't believe that Ras is bad. Frak prepares to use a Wolf Mask and plans to do Shatterspin for the first time until he remembers what Arin warned him about using the Wolf Mask. This makes him throw the mask away and continue fighting honestly. Eventually, Frak falls out off the arena and loses. Roby transfers the rest of his powers to Sora. Cole and Zane start to congratulate Sora with winning while she sadly looked at how Frak was banished from the Wolf Clan due to disobeying Ras. As Sora, Cole and Zane leave the Games Plaza, Jordana walks up to Sora and hands her a note. Sora unrolls it to see an Imperium math equation and looks at it confused.

Back outside Bleckt and Roby's office, Arin attempts to pick the office door lock with a fork, until Wyldfyre sees Bleckt and Roby and warns Arin before complimenting the latter's cufflinks. Roby talks about them and mentions that he got them right before the first Tournament game as Bleckt unlocks the door and the two go into their office. Wyldfyre reiterates what Roby said to Arin and he remembers what his mother said during a detective game, you must trust the evidence even if it goes against what you believe. Roby and Bleckt open their office door. Roby leaves and Arin and Wyldfyre see the same symbol on Roby’s cuff links on the bottom of Bleckt's cane. Bleckt leaves and Arin throws his book between the office door and its frame. Wyldfyre and Arin enter the office and look around. Wyldfyre picks up Bleckt's rotary phone, triggering his table to slide open and reveal a secret room under it. They enter the room to see pictures of Roby with scribbles on his face. Wyldfyre points to a calendar on the wall with the words "meet with Ras" noted on the day before the tournament.

Later, Wyldfyre and Arin enter the Ninja's quarters and Sora says that she needs help to decipher Jordana's note. Sora tells Arin what the equation means and Arin realizes it means there are horns in the Monastery. Cole overheard this and tells the two about the Monastery of Gates. In Lloyd's vision, he sees Arin on the Wolf warriors' side and Zeatrix with the sword she used to knock him unconscious. The Source Dragon of Motion chases them away and obliterates the Blood Moon. Lloyd says he has failed the Source Dragon but she tells Lloyd that he must win and he wakes up. At the Games Plaza, Roby announces Nokt and Lloyd as the next two fighters. Lloyd walks into the Plaza, shocking everyone. Meanwhile, Cole shows Arin the Monastery and the latter wonders how the two will get to it. Cole thinks of an idea and tells Arin to wait. Back at the Plaza, Roby gives Lloyd Zeatrix's powers with the Elemental Cup and the match commences. Nokt and Lloyd fight when Bleckt suddenly yells to stop the fight. He claims Lloyd is too unwell to fight in the Tournament. Roby sadly agrees and Bleckt declares Nokt the winner by default. Meanwhile, Cole obtains the Elemental Earth Mech. Back at the game, Roby transfers Lloyd's powers to Nokt. Back outside the Monastery of Gates, Cole arrives with the Mech. Cole uses the Mech to build a rock bridge to the Monastery. Arin hops onto the Mech as it walks across the bridge. When they reach the other side, the floating orbs around the Monastery combine to turn into Wu's spirit.

Trivia[]

Continuity[]

  • Sora rephrasing Roby with "when" than "if" about Lloyd's condition is similar to how she rephrased Arin about the Mech Master 5000 in "The Merge: Part 1."
  • This episode marks the second time Lloyd is seen with a leg injury, the first time was all the way back in "Return of the Overlord" after his first duel with The Overlord.
    • This is also the fourth time one of the Ninja has an injured leg, the first was Lloyd, as seen above, then Jay in "Spy for a Spy" and then again with Wyldfyre in "Shattered Dreams".
    • Just like in "Return of the Overlord" where Lloyd injured his right leg, its once again injured as seen during his fight with Nokt.

Errors[]

  • Despite having his powers drained, Lloyd's eyes remain green.
  • The date marked on Bleckt's calendar that is supposed to be spelled as "Meet with Ras" in Ninjargon is incorrectly spelled as "Meet yith Ras".
