- For another tomb, see Serpentine Tombs.
The Constrictai Tomb is a cave on the top of the Mountain of a Million Steps where the Constrictai tribe was sealed away by the Elemental Alliance, in an attempt to prevent the five Serpentine tribes from uniting again, causing another Serpentine War.
It is accessible from an entrance near the peak. The tomb is lit by several torches along the walls, which are also covered in ancient murals depicting Serpentine legends. It is also the secret way to the Serpentine's underground fortress.
History[]
Prior to the series[]
The Elemental Masters sealed the Serpentine, including the Constrictai, into five different tombs using the Sacred Flutes.[1]
Can of Worms[]
Nya managed to extrapolate the locations of the remaining two Serpentine tombs by deducing a pattern in the placement of the Hypnobrai, Fangpyre, and Anacondrai Tombs. With this knowledge, Wu sent Cole and Zane on a mission to stop Pythor from releasing the Constrictai. When the two ninja arrived, the tomb appeared deserted, but some exploration led them to a mural depicting the prophecy of the Great Devourer.
Before Cole and Zane could flee the tomb with this new information, they were ambushed by Skalidor, the Constrictai General. Seizing Cole with his tail, Skalidor explained that Pythor had already released his tribe from the tomb, but he had stayed behind to "send Pythor's regards" to the ninja when they arrived. After a fierce battle, Zane managed to sway Skalidor with the Sacred Flute, allowing Cole to deliver a knockout blow to Skalidor's head with his scythe. After that, the two ninja fled together to the Toxic Bogs to help Kai and Jay fight the Venomari.
Tick Tock[]
Pythor and Skales gathered the Serpentine in the tomb during the Pythor's search for the map that would reveal the location of the Fangblades. When the generals were about to give up, Pythor realized the combined venom of the Serpentine Staffs would create the Map of Fangs.
All of Nothing[]
During the hunt for the Fangblades, the Constrictai Tomb was remodeled and expanded into the Serpentine's underground fortress, becoming the hub for all of the snakes' underground activity. When the ninja found the fortress, they returned to the Constrictai Tomb, only to find it deserted once again. Luckily, Cole inadvertently opened the hidden entrance to the fortress by touching a crude drawing of the ninja on the wall.
