Creation   Golden Power   Creation (The LEGO Ninjago Movie)
“Creation, like Destruction, is not an element-it's an Elemental essence-an energy. When the energy of creation is used with the elements, the results can be amazing.”

Creation is an elemental essence in Ninjago,[1] comprised of the four main elements: Fire, Lightning, Ice, and Earth, and the opposite of Destruction. It has a gold, white, and yellow color and corresponds with Master Wu's dragon. It is the power Wu inherited from his father, originating from the dragons of the First Realm. Creation itself is rarely used on its own; however, the Ninja can use it with the Tornado of Creation, Master Wu can use it both with or without his Spinjitzu, and Lord Garmadon was able to use it with the Golden Weapons and Mega Weapon before it was destroyed. However, upon unlocking his own True Potential, Garmadon was able to activate his dormant power of Creation, utilizing it to create a large stone monster that would cause much chaos upon Ninjago City.

Users' abilities[]

  • Fabricakinesis - The user can manipulate the very concept of creation.
    • Materiokinesis - The user can manipulate both organic and inorganic matter for multiple purposes. Using the four main elements (as demonstrated with the Tornado of Creation), materials and objects (possibly even their properties) can be absorbed/collected and combined to form a new object (which can be of great size, as demonstrated when the Tornado of Creation built a massive Ferris Wheel out of bones, a gigantic slingshot, and the Ultra Sonic Raider). It can be used for a variety of purposes, such as shooting ink, quills, or spikes and creating bandages or webs to swing on, make constructs out of, and trap opponents with or opening and controlling any types of portals/wormholes (i.e. dimensional portal) and portal energy. The user (or users) can, as Master Wu said while describing the Tornado of Creation, "create something, out of nothing."
      • Matter Creation - The user can also create organic or inorganic matter from nothing or create anything he or she wants, even souls or life, either as finished objects or simply unfinished elements; the user has the power to make it a reality, including any object, as demonstrated by Garmadon when he created the Colossus with his True Potential.
        • Construct Materialization - Users can change anything into tools, objects, weapons, and other items and create structures/buildings of varying permanence. The users who have mastered this ability can use it for almost any situation, creating anything they need. Garmadon used this technique to aid his True Potential when creating the Colossus.
        • Matter Melding - Users can cause separate and distinct items to combine into one new item. Some can fuse multiple different elements to make one new. This ability can extend to morphing and reshaping existing matter on physical contact.
        • Matter Alteration - Users are capable of transmuting matter into different forms. They are able to create and absorb matter and energy, shape, and rebuild it into anything of their choosing.
        • Martial Arts Creation/Intuition - The user can possibly create their own martial arts and have mastery over them.
      • Object Creation - The user can create inanimate objects/items.
        • Object Enhancement - The user can possibly enhance objects and their properties/qualities.
        • Transmutation - The user can possibly transmute objects into different forms.
      • Regeneration/Object Restoration - The user can regenerate destroyed matter and restore objects, such as when Garmadon used the Golden Weapons to repair the Destiny’s Bounty as the Black Bounty in "Darkness Shall Rise".
    • Elementumkinesis - The user can manipulate and create the basic elements of nature (Fire, Earth, Lightning, and Ice), due to Creation comprising them.
    • Materio-Ergokinesis - Users can manipulate creative energy.
      • Energy Channeling - The user can channel energy for a variety of purposes.
      • Energy Wave Emission - The user can release a wave of energy that sends opponents flying.
      • Ergokinetic Infusion - The user can infuse themselves or an object with energy to increase the strength of their blows.
      • Energy Contact - It is possible for some users to physically touch the energy they create.
    • Mirakinesis - The user can create, generate, and manipulate illusions realistic enough that those who enter them through a portal will believe what they see is real.
  • Dragon Creation - The user can create a Creation Dragon.

Abilities via Mega Weapon[]

After forging the four Golden Weapons into the Mega Weapon, Garmadon was able to use Creation to access a variety of different abilities:

  • Wish Granting - As demonstrated by Garmadon using the Mega Weapon, the user has the ability to grant themselves wishes, as long as they don't destroy anything.
    • Duplication - By granting himself wishes, Garmadon was able to use Creation to create evil doppelgängers of the Ninja and duplicate the original ninjas' elemental powers as well.
      • Material Duplication - Much like how the evil ninja were created as duplicates of the original, the materials of their clothes were also made into duplicates.
    • Elementumkinesis - Since the Mega Weapon was made from the Four Golden Weapons, it allowed its user to manipulate the Elements of Creation (Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Earth), along with other secondary elements. This could be accomplished by granting wishes to themselves.
      • Chronokinesis - By granting himself wishes, Garmadon was able to use the Mega Weapon to manipulate Time.
        • Time Portal Creation - As demonstrated by Garmadon using the Mega Weapon, the user has the ability to open a portal that allows them to travel through time. This can be accomplished by granting oneself wishes through the Mega Weapon.
        • Temporal Rewind - The Mega Weapon is able to rewind time.
          • Resurrection - By granting himself wishes through the Mega Weapon, Garmadon used Creation to turn back time and resurrect the Grundle to hunt the Ninja.
        • Age Reversal - The Mega Weapon can reverse people’s age, as seen when the Ninja got caught in Garmadon’s process of reviving the Grundle and were turned back into children.
    • Memory Erasure - As demonstrated when the Mega Weapon was destroyed, it was able to erase the memory of anyone who wasn't present at its destruction. However, beings that have abilities such as the Serpentine or the Overlord weren't affected by the memory wipe as demonstrated when the Serpentine remembered Garmadon had a Mega Weapon and the Overlord knew that once the Ninja destroyed Garmadon's Mega Weapon, it ended up on a comet in space.
  • Power Drain - The Mega Weapon has an unfortunate side effect of draining the wielder’s power whenever it is used, as seen with Garmadon.
  • Invincibility - As stated by Cole in "Wrong Place, Wrong Time", nothing can destroy the Mega Weapon, with the exception of another weapon equal to it in power.
  • Disintegration - The Mega Weapon's powers can disintegrate anyone who doesn't have elemental powers. This is seen when the weapon disintegrated a pirate who tried to steal it from Garmadon[2] and a Nindroid who touched the Mega Weapon fused with the Golden Weapons on the comet.[3] However, if a person has their own elemental powers, the Mega Weapon won't be able to disintegrate them.[4]

Notable uses[]

Prior to the series[]

Creation existed in the Realm of Oni and Dragons as the primary power of the dragons. When the child was born to the Dragon and the Oni and was able to control both, Creation and Destruction, they fought for him until he left the realm. First Spinjitzu Master then used Creation to create a new realm - the realm of Ninjago.[5]

When the sons of the First Spinjitzu Master went to buy tea in Ouroboros, they were attacked by bullies, but they used Spinjitzu for the first time without thinking and defeated the bullies.[6]

Thousands years ago, when Wu and Garmadon went fishing, Wu wanted to go to the Serpentine Valley. However, they were caught by Pyro Vipers and imprisoned. They were freed by a young sorceress, Aspheera, who wanted them to teach her Spinjitzu. Unlike Garmadon, Wu kept his promise and taught her Spinjitzu. However, when she overthrew King Mambo V and wanted to conquer Ninjago, Wu and Garmadon stole the Scrolls of Forbidden Spinjitzu from their father, strengthening their powers. Wu then defeated Aspheera with the immense power of the Forbidden Spinjitzu.[7]

Trivia[]

The Trivia on Creation needs to be organized.
  • You can help the wiki by organizing the following information chronologically based on how the information applies to the series.
  • This template can be removed once the section has been organized.
  • In the pilot episodes, Wu performed actions that have been misconceived as genuine usage of Creation. In actuality, they were not.
    • He merely changed the ninja's clothing at incredible speed when he first gave them their starting ninja outfits, rather than creating the suits from scratch or using Spinjitzu.[9]
    • He appeared to have pulled a teacup from thin air as an example of what Creation could do, but he did not create the teacup.[10]
  • According to Tommy Andreasen, the reason Wu rarely uses Creation is that "power must be used with care. Wu is wise and knows not to overuse."[11]
  • Contrary to popular belief, Creation is not an element—it is an elemental essence, like Destruction.[1]
  • Creation originated in the Realm of Oni and Dragons, specifically being the main power of the dragons of said realm.
  • When the Overlord became the Golden Master and had the power of the Four Golden Weapons, it is possible that he had the power of Creation.
  • The power of Creation can be credited as being able to create entire landmasses, as the First Spinjitzu Master demonstrated.
    • The First Spinjitzu Master, however, was the most powerful user of Creation so it is currently unknown if his sons or anyone with the power could replicate the feat.
    • The First Spinjitzu Master also does not require materials to construct his creations,[citation needed] which could mean this level of Creation was exclusive to him.
      • This is likely because the First Spinjitzu Master possesses Golden Power.
  • While in March of the Oni, Creation resembles a golden fire, but in Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu, it resembles a golden lightning. It is unknown whether it is just a choice of design, or whether Creation can take the form of all the elements of Creation.
  • Although Creation is generally associated with gold, when Garmadon used it with his True Potential, it's purple like Destruction, his primary elemental essence.
  • The Spinjitzu tornado of Creation changed during the show. While in pilot episodes, it was a very shiny chrome gold. Since Rise of the Snakes, it had a more orange color without its shine. From Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu to Seabound, it was a milky golden yellow with a more cartoonish look, just like the other tornadoes in the WildBrain animation. In Crystalized, it was bright yellow and retaining its cartoonish look.
  • The exact relationship between Creation and Golden Power is unclear. Tommy Andreasen said to "Think of golden as creation,"[12] but when later asked if they were the same, he said, "Can’t get into that. Too complicated."[13] Tommy Andreasen would later state that First Spinjitzu Master got Golden Power from the dragons, implying that Golden Power and Creation are related.[14]
  • It's currently unknown if Lloyd possesses the elemental essence of Creation as he had inherited the power of Destruction from his father and once held the might of Golden Power.
