- Not to be confused with the Double-Bladed Axe.
The Double-Bladed Bone Axe (also referred to as a skull axe[1] or simply the double-bladed axe[2]) is a weapon used by the Skulkin and Anacondrai Cultists. It appears as a double-headed axe with gunmetal axe-heads and a bone for a handle, acting as a double version of a regular Silver Bone Axe. Nuckal wields a golden variant.
History[]
Return to the Fire Temple[]
Bonezai, Frakjaw, and Krazi attacked Kai with their axes when he returned to the Fire Temple.
All of Nothing[]
Many Skulkin warriors wielded the weapon against the Serpentine in a battle at the latter's underground fortress.
Only One Can Remain[]
Large versions of the weapon were used as booby traps in the maze of tunnels on Chen's Island.
Winds of Change[]
The weapon was in a bookcase shelf display at the Ninjago Museum of History when Morro possessed Lloyd.
Bad Chair Day (non-canon)[]
One of the buttons on Chen's Chair caused a bone axe to swing down dangerously close to Clouse.
Infamous[]
In a commercial for Dareth, one Bonezai imitation was portrayed fighting Jay with the axe.
Day of the Departed[]
A replica of the weapon was held by Samukai's statue in the Hall of Villainy at the history museum, later becoming his Departed Blade when his statue was reanimated.
Happy Birthday to You! (non-canon)[]
Samukai wielded the weapon when he emerged through a portal and attacked the ninja.
LEGO.com description[]
The double-bladed axe is actually not a popular weapon among skeletons, since they have a habit of accidentally hitting themselves with one blade or the other. In weapons testing, it usually ranked somewhere below the backfire bow (which only fired arrows backwards, unless you were aiming backwards, in which it case it fired them forwards) and the one-way boomerang (which could be easily thrown, but never came back to you).[2]
