The Exile of the Forbidden Five[1] was an event where the Forbidden Five planned to wreck havoc upon the Wyldness before being banished to the Nether-Space by the Dragon Masters.
History[]
Long ago, five Elemental Masters were selected by Thunderfang, who empowered them with his dark energy,[2] enabling them to develop a diverse range of powers that surpassed the typical capabilities of Elemental Masters.[3] Among these dark powers were Shatterspin, a specialized form of Spinjitzu only accessible to Elemental Masters such as themselves, and Theroxian Magic,[4] a form of Dark Magic that's harnessed through the use of the Theroxian language. These Elemental Masters established the Wolf Clan, quickly rising to prominence in the Wyldness as they passed these powers to the wolf warriors. Unfortunately, as they delved deeper into their powers, both the Elemental Masters and the Wolf Clan succumbed to corruption, rising to infamy. The once revered Elemental Masters became feared as the Forbidden Five, earning the reputation of being the most formidable and perilous beings across the realms. The Forbidden Five sought to reduce all the realms in ruins as a show of strength and dominance,[5][6] having already succeeded in with the Wyldness. They vanquished any Elemental Master who opposed them.[3][7][8]
Hearing of the intentions harbored by the Forbidden Five, the Dragon Masters, Egalt and Rontu, immediately set out to thwart their schemes. Recognizing that Rising Dragon possessed the capability to counter Shatterspin, the Dragon Masters knew that they could defeat the Forbidden Five. Nonetheless, banishment to any of the realms would only delay the inevitable escape of the Forbidden Five, including the Departed Realm,[7][9] so the Dragon Masters embarked on a journey to seek the assistance of Gandalaria. They sought Gandalaria's expertise in crafting a potent spell that could exile the Forbidden Five to the Nether-Space. Gandalaria dedicated herself tirelessly to the task. Before the Forbidden Five could set their sights on the annihilation of the other realms, the Dragon Masters confronted them at the Forest of Spirits, employing Rising Dragon Technique to defeat their adversaries and subsequently cast them the Nether-Space. News of the Forbidden Five's defeat spread throughout the realms.[10][7]
Aftermath[]
Following the Exile of the Forbidden Five, Lord Argus, renowned as their most formidable warrior and a skilled practitioner of Shatterspin despite lacking the title of Elemental Master, took the helm of the Wolf Clan. His aim was to steer the wolf warriors towards the principles upheld by the Forbidden Five. Yet, with their absence, the Wolf Clan's prominence began to wane, signaling its impending decline. However, Zaiden Kane approached Argus, convincing him to strike the Gong of Shattering under the false pretense that he possessed the potential to join the ranks of the Forbidden Five. However, when Argus struck the gong, he inadvertently unleashed a curse, as his non-Elemental Master status led to a catastrophic outcome, trapping the Wyldness in a perpetual limbo and transforming Argus into the Lycan King. Zaiden Kane then exerted control over Argus by placing the Spectral Crown upon him. The Wolf Clan attempted to fight Zaiden and Argus, but as Zaiden was expelled from the Wyldness, Argus petrified all the wolf warriors, turning them to stone. Fortunately, a few warriors managed to escape this fate, ensuring the survival of their bloodline. From that moment on, the Wyldness was branded as a cursed land, a designation that endured for millennia.[11]
At some point, the Dragon Masters took precautionary measures to erase all traces of the Five's existence and teachings, sealing the knowledge within the Shadow Dojo, while making sure that the temple would only be accessible only through the energy of a Source Dragon. Yet, knowledge of the Forbidden Five and the Wolf Clan endured in the Cloud Kingdom, preserved within its archives.[3][10]
