Relaxation room[]

The relaxation room is a living room in the monastery where the ninja usually relax while playing video games. There is also an entrance to the hangar bay. The relaxation room also acts like a bedroom for Arin, Sora, and Riyu.

History[]

Appearance[]

The relaxation room was originally a small room with a daybed and tv, after the monastery was renovated, a small table and another daybed were added, a plant was added in the corner with Jay's underwear hanging on it, with a few water bottles placed nearby, and picture of the ninja and Wu before the Final Battle is hung on the walls, along with a weapons stand.

After the Oni's invasion, the relaxation room was moved to the middle of the monastery, with two purple couches and a table in front of the bigger TV, and a billiard table behind the couch facing the TV. Multiple boxes were present on the floor, and many paintings and stands for katanas were hung on the wall. A dartboard is hung near the TV, with a button behind it that access the elevator to the Hangar bay that is behind the TV. The relaxation room has doors on three of the four walls, while the wall behind the TV features a long black and white painting of mountains.

Years after the Merge, Arin, Sora, and Riyu moved into the monastery and used the relaxation room for their bedroom. The room was slightly changed, with a few more lamps hanging from the ceiling, with small light bulbs connected with strings hanging on the walls, multiple potted plants were added around, Arin's porch swing was placed where the billiard table once was with a carpet under it used by Riyu, with a dark blue hammock used by Arin placed in a corner, and a fuchsia bed for Sora placed next to it. A bigger stand for weapons was added and a smaller one for Arin's cooking utensils, an oven was placed on the corner of the room, and a poster for the Mech Master 5000 was hung on the walls.

Wu's room[]

This room is a small, almost empty room inhabited by Master Wu. It is located in the left corner of the monastery.[1]

History[]

An Underworldly Takeover[]

While drinking tea in his room, Wu explained to Cole how Garmadon might have gained control of the Skulkin.

Questing for Quests[]

While Master Wu is meditating in his room, Lloyd comes in and asks for advice on getting back into shape. This angers Wu and he tells Lloyd to find the solution himself. As Lloyd leaves, he slams the door and drops all the staffs that hung on the wall behind Wu.

Appearance[]

Wu's room has paper sliding doors and other paper walls on the sides. Originally, there was a closet opposite the door where Wu stored a Sacred Flute. Next to it was a dish with icense sticks and spirit smoke. In the center of the room was a small orange seat cushion and a small table with a teapot. There was a black lamp on the wooden beams holding the roof. In the new monastery, the room is almost the same, but no longer contains a seat cushion or closet, although there is a small cupboard where Wu stores Aspheera's staff. The incense sticks' dish is now smaller. There are also two windows and three bo staffs are hung on the wall opposite the door.

Library[]

“Oh, he won't know. He's been locked in with his scrolls all day.”
Jay to Nya about Wu, "Shintaro"

The library is one of the many rooms in the monastery, which houses a number of scrolls and books on the history of Ninjago, which Wu placed there.

History[]

Shintaro[]

When Lloyd learns from Jay and Nya that Wu is behaving strangely, he follows him to the library. Wu claims to read the scroll, although this is not true. Later, Misako comes to the library and talks to them. When the Postman delivers an invitation to Kingdom of Shintaro, Lloyd leaves the library, and Wu and Misako do so in a moment.

A Big Splash[]

When the ninja try to find out more about Nya's problem, they go to the library. After a long search in the scrolls, Wu finds what he was looking for and tells the ninja about his father and that he never had the Elemental Powers of Water and Wind. When the ninja ask him why, he unfolds a scroll depicting Wojira on the table and tells them about her and how a Merlopian warrior defeated her. Wu then takes a magnifying glass and attaches it to his eye. With that, he views the scroll. However, Wu wasn't sure if Nya's problems are with Wojira and her amulets, and had no idea who could help her. Therefore, he convinces Kai to call his mother Maya.

The Call of the Deep[]

After Ray and Maya arrived, Wu went to the library, where he searched books and scrolls with Misako for information about the Elemental Power of Water. When Nya, who is not happy with her mother's care, comes to the library, Wu and Misako search the books. Nya asks them if they have found anything, but Wu tells her that there is very little mention of water in the books. He argues that Maya might be the answer. Nya continues to complain, but he advises her to talk to her brother.

Appearance[]

The library is a relatively large room in the middle of the monastery in the shape of an octagon. On a wooden floor, there is a large carpet in the middle, on which there are two wooden benches and two chairs with purple pillows and a small table where the ninja and Wu can read books. Opposite the paper sliding door, there is a paper window, under which there is a small table and above which is a calligraphic painting of the mountains. There are also four red pillars in this part of the room, as well as the door. On the wall are two other large paintings of mountains with inscriptions in Ninjargon, under which various scrolls are inserted. On the side walls of the room, there are many books on wooden shelves, mainly black, red and gold. There are also brown ladders to access the upper books and small wooden chairs without a backrest. On the ceiling there is a wooden roof with several lamps and in the middle there is an octagonal thin roof, through which the sun shines into the room.

After the Merge, the floor of the library was changed with bricks and multiple trees have grown there. One of the pillars is changed with a white and gold stone pillar engraved with symbols that came from a Djinn tomb.

Trivia[]

  • It is unknown exactly where the library is located in the monastery, as its octagonal shape does not correspond to any part of the monastery from the outside.
    • Most likely it is in the middle of the monastery, as it has an octagonal shape, although the room is too large to fit inside.
  • It is unknown whether the library was also in the original monastery before the renovation.

The bathroom is a room in the monastery consisting of a sink, toilet and shower.

History[]

Way of the Ninja[]

Kai was brushing his teeth in the bathroom when the other three ninja attacked him.

Home (flashback)[]

While Cole was doing important business in the bathroom, Zane came to the bathroom and began brushing his teeth.

Wrong Place, Wrong Time[]

Wasted True Potential[]

When Kai goes to take a shower, he is surprised by one of Wu's pranks, and that is that the water does not flow out of the shower but spouts out of the floor and shoots Kai into the air.

A Big Splash[]

As Nya walks past the bathroom Jay uses, she accidentally lets the water splash out of the toilet.

The Call of the Deep[]

When Jay is about to wash the toilet, a wave of energy passes through the monastery and lets the water from the toilet splash directly onto Jay.

Appearance[]

The original bathroom consisted of yellow walls and paper sliding doors. There was a toilet and a sink with a mirror. In the new monastery, the bathroom has blue tiles with one shower, toilet and sink.

Practice room[]

“And we do a lot of training here in the courtyard. Mostly because Jay's powers started an electrical fire that destroyed the practice room, which he blamed on Kai.”

The monastery had a practice room where the ninja were training until it was accidentally destroyed by Jay before Ray and Maya came to the monastery.

History[]

The Book of Spinjitzu[]

During Wu's training in the practice room, he discovered what damage effects Spinjitzu could do if it is not used properly. As he tried a movement called "Kick of Mantis", he turned his pelvis more than he had and kicked Garmadon so that it flew over the supporting beam and almost the entire roof fell on him. Garmadon then attacked Wu with such anger as Wu had never seen before. In anger, he did not use Spinjitzu properly and almost destroyed the whole monastery. However, his father managed to stop him.

Prior to Seabound[]

At some point Jay's powers started an electrical fire that destroyed the practice room in the monastery, which he blamed on Kai.

Trivia[]

  • According to Nya, Cole's snoring can be heard in all the rooms.[2]
  • Lloyd, Zane and Nya are the only ninja whose rooms have been shown in the new monastery.
  • When a fan mentioned that the monastery looks larger on the inside than on the outside, Tommy Andreasen said "It just superior feng shui and clever use of colours. Master Wu is a master of that. That's my explanation and I'm sticking to it!"[3]
