Boobytraps and How to Survive Them is a guidebook written by Clutch Powers. As the name suggests, the book is about how to survive boobytraps.

History

Boobytraps and How to Survive Them

Upon recovering from a fall into a pit of spikes, they come across one of Clutch's competitors named Hageman, and Clutch said that he hadn't read the book and it cost him his life. Zane said that he did read it, and Clutch said that he at least didn't reach chapter nine, the chapter on cobweb traps. He then carelessly threw it at the skeleton, causing it to fall apart, and as they continue on, Jay picks up the book.

Ninja vs Lava

While chained to a wall, Jay reads Hageman's copy of Clutch's book before the torches go out and lava started erupting, causing him to drop the book, which burns instantly.

Ancient History

Acidicus was reading a copy of the book when Cole, Jay, and Kai arrived in an underground library.

Under Siege

A copy of Clutch's book lies on a table next to Clutch's bed in Ninjago City Hospital.
