The Fire Dragons are dragons from the Realm of Oni and Dragons. At one point, one of them was captured and used by the Dragon Hunters to make weapons until it was freed by Kai, who later rode one of the Fire Dragons to return to Ninjago.

History[]

Big Trouble, Little Ninjago[]

Iron & Stone[]

A Fire Dragon was being forced to create armor and weapons for the Dragon Hunters.

How to Build a Dragon[]

The Fire Dragon was continued to be forced to create armor and weapons for the Dragon Hunters again. When Firstbourne comes and Kai frees the dragons, the Fire Dragon leaves Dead's End and goes to Firstbourne's nest along with the Wind Dragon and Slab.

Lessons for a Master[]

After Wu tames Firstbourne, the dragon summons a Fire Dragon in order for Kai to get back to Ninjago.

Green Destiny[]

The Fire Dragon follows its fellow dragons through a portal that forms in the air. It helps Kai save his sister and friends from the Sons of Garmadon. Kai later flies on the dragon to evacuate the citizens and destroy the Colossus.

In the end, the Fire Dragon and the other dragons return to their realm.

Endings[]

Faith told Wu and Misako about what happened in the Realm of Oni and Dragons. The Oni attacked the realm and the Hunters try to defend themselves with the help of the Dragons, but only Faith and Firstbourne managed to escape. A Fire Dragon was left in a petrified state until after the ninja defeated the Oni.

Abilities[]

  • Fire - The Fire Dragons have controle over the Fire element.
    • Pyrokinetic Breath - They can breathe and shoot fire blasts from their mouths.
  • Flight - Like most Dragon, the Fire Dragons can fly.
  • Oni Blood Detection - Like the other dragons, the Fire Dragons can smell oni blood of partially oni beings.

  • They are the only one of the four ninja's First Realm dragons not to exist in set form.
    • This is likely because Firstbourne serves as Kai's dragon in set.
