Story #1[]
Wu called Kai so Kai comes to Wu, hoping for a mission. Wu asks him to build the gate for the Monastery of Spinjitzu. Kai doubts he can do it. Wu tells him he can, so he tries. He does a terrible job. The other ninja try to guess what Kai made. They were all wrong. Kai said it was a failure. Wu told them it was a ninja training ground. The ninja are hesitant at first but soon agree with him.
Story #2[]
Zane speaks of a dream he has had 43 times. In it, he is at the bottom of a mountain, but he wakes up before he can reach the summit. He thinks his father encoded a message into him a while ago. P.I.X.A.L. helps Zane enter a deep sleep. As Zane ascended, the vision became clearer. At one point, he heard a voice and then saw his falcon fly towards him. Zane kept going. At another point, the mountain trembled and he almost fell. He heard his friends and remembered it was just a dream, which gave him confidence that he could overcome it. He used Airjitzu to get to the top. He saw his father, who told him that "As long as you collaborate with your friends, there will always be hope." Zane woke up and spoke with the ninja.
Story #3[]
Lloyd is with a sick girl. The girl's parents think the ninja have healing powers, but Lloyd explains that they are thinking of Mistake, who is dead. The parents explain that there is a tea in the Birchwood Forest with healing powers. They warn him that the forest brings forth the traveler's greatest fear, but Lloyd goes anyway. Lloyd fights some Treehorns with Spinjitzu. When he reaches the healing plant, he is confronted by his father, who is in Kryptarium Prison. Lloyd refuses to fight, but Garmadon explains that it is the fear the fuels him. After some fighting, Lloyd realises that Garmadon is just an illusion, which is enough to make the illusion disappear. Lloyd leaves the forest, wondering if he will ever be able to save his father.
Trivia[]
- All stories take place between Hunted and March of the Oni since the first two stories occur in the Monastery and in the third story, Lloyd mentions his father is in jail.
- The Monastery is rebuilt by the ninja, explaining its return in Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu and March of the Oni.
- There is no audiobook in English due to unknown reasons; most likely poor distribution or support for distribution stopping completely. In addition, it had never received a proper cover for marketing. The release date was also pushed back one year after the other, starting in 2018 until 2020.[1]
