Garmadon is Back for Evil! is the 38th issue of the Ninjago Magazine. It includes 891838 Buffer. The comic included is titled Rock Bottom!. It released on the 13th of June 2018.
Rock Bottom![]
Harumi has brought back Garmadon and he was able to conquer Ninjago City with his Colossus. Now Lloyd, Nya and P.I.X.A.L. are on the run. After watching the Destiny’s Bounty being destroyed with the rest of the team inside, Lloyd is slowly losing the courage to keep fighting. P.I.X.A.L. suggests asking Rufus McCallister for advice on how to defeat Garmadon, and they head to the comic store. Lloyd tells Rufus about Garmadon's resurrection, their escape from the Oni-Titan, and how the Bounty was destroyed and the other Ninja and Baby Wu are missing. Even though Lloyd wants to give up hope, Rufus gives him the idea to go back to the Temple of Resurrection and look for a flaw in the resurrection process.
The green ninja is convinced of the plan and the three make their way back to the temple. In the streets of Ninjago they have to stay under the radar and sneak past the Sons of Garmadon roaming the streets. In order to avoid Killow before he spots them, they flee into the sewers, where they fall into a trap.
Now the two Ninja and Samurai X are hanging upside down and Lloyd tries to swing himself so that he can hold on to the wall to break free. After the others are also free of their bonds, the team looks for an exit. But P.I.X.A.L. accidentally activates a mechanism that opens one of the water pipes and the room is quickly flooded. Nya suggests swimming through the pipe and, on the other side, some lasers block their way into the temple. Lloyd deflects the beams with his weapon and the three finally make it inside the temple. Their goal now is to prevent the temple from ever being used again. However, without the Oni Masks, they have no other choice but to simply topple the altar. After they accomplished their mission and the Temple won’t be able to be used again, Lloyd has finally regained some hope. He swears he will stop his father even without his powers.
