“I left home because I'm a Munce, with the coloring of a Geckle. Munces and Geckles have always hated each other. So, no one wanted me.”

Geo is the Elemental Master of Fusion and a member of the Finders. He is a Munce and Geckle hybrid,[1] which led to him being rejected by both tribes due to their historical rivalry. Geo eventually ended up in the Land of Lost Things where he encountered and integrated the Finders. After the Merge, Geo discovered his Elemental Power and met Cole who ended up in the Land of Lost Things. He later participated as a competitor in the Tournament of the Sources alongside the other Elemental Masters of his generation.

History[]

Background[]

Geo was born in Shintaro Mountain from a Munce and a Geckle, making Geo look unique.

This circumstance led to him being despised by both tribes due to their historical rivalry. Neither the Munce nor the Geckles wanted him, leaving Geo in a state of rejection and isolation. Because of this, he ran away from home. Due to getting lost and being forgotten by the tribes, Geo ended up in the Land of Lost Things. There, he encountered the Finders, fellow runaways who had also left their homes and were brought to the valley as a consequence of being forgotten.

However, following the unification of realms through the Merge, Geo was granted the power of Fusion. Not long after, Geo met Cole, who ended up at the Land of Lost Things, where the latter achieved a golem form, but he believed Geo is giving the former a boost. Fearing he will leave if told the truth, Geo kept it secret from Cole.

Dragons Rising, Season 1[]

Land of Lost Things[]

Geo waited in a giant noodle cup for Fritz and Spitz to arrive. As they did, Geo scolded the children for running off before Nya, Sora, and Cole enter and Geo checked on Cole's well-being. As the Hoarder roared outside, Geo offered to buy them some time while the ninja and the Finders made a run for it. Using Fusion, Geo combined the noodle cup with the Hoarder's hand, distracting the Hoarder as Geo meet up with the others. As they made their way towards the Rookery, Sora couldn't help but be amazed by the sculptures crafted by Geo. Geo revealed how his Elemental Powers work. While discussing the emergence of the new Elemental Powers resulting from the Merge, their discussion was abruptly halted by the sudden appearance of the Hoarder. However, Geo informed them that they were secure within the protective confines of the Rookery, where they discovered the yellow Dragon Core was what was powering the machine.

Sora worked on the machine while Geo's arm remained trapped inside. Geo questioned whether he would be stuck there indefinitely. Sora reassured him that this was not the case. Geo admitted his lack of understanding regarding the machine's workings. Sora explained that the machine operated on dragon power, with a Dragon Core being responsible for its functionality. She suggested that Geo's power could potentially charge a new battery to function like a Dragon Core. Geo expressed amazement at Sora's knowledge, wondering if she learned all of this while growing up in Imperium. Sora explained that while the Kingdom of Imperium's technologically advanced, it lacked respect for its citizens and dragons. She revealed that her parents were not supportive or loving, prompting her to leave Imperium. Geo shared his own experience, explaining that he left Shintaro Mountain due to the animosity between Munce and Geckles back then, as he looked like a Geckle despite being a Munce, even admitting he had forgotten about his parents. Geo remarked that living in Imperium seemed to have had a detrimental effect on Sora. Sora agreed, expressing her doubts about ever being able to fix the damage. In frustration, she slammed her pencil on the table, breaking it. Geo, however, took the broken pencil and fused the pieces back together, impressing Sora.

Geo asked if the process would be painful. Sora hesitated, admitting that she was unsure and had never attempted it before. Geo expressed his disappointment, finding her answer less than comforting. Sora then suggested that Riyu can give her Elemental Powers, allowing her to rebuild the machine. Geo's expression turns into a frown as Sora mentioned Cole's Elemental Golem form, as Sora belived it to be something that wasn't inherited. Soon, after a warning from Bonzle of Dr. LaRow and some Imperium Drones arriving, Geo was instructed to keep the other Finders safe, later pulling Bonzle away when she threw a bone at Dr. LaRow. As Geo attempted to retrieve the Dragon Core from a drone, he attached a broom to the drone. However, his plan backfired as he found himself being whisked away alongside the core before Dr. LaRow used the drone to electrocute Geo, causing him to plummet. Luckily, Cole came to the rescue, catching Geo.

As the Hoarder returned, Cole was in dire need of Geo's help and pleaded with him to energize him. Geo was hesitant to reveal the truth about how Cole's Elemental Golem form worked, but Cole emphasized the urgency of the situation. Eventually, Geo relented and appeared to used his Elemental Power on Cole, who used his Elemental Golem form. As Sora unleashed her Elemental Powers upon the Hoarder, Geo and the rest of the group realized that the Hoarder was actually a magnetic organism known as Sweeper. Geo thanked Sora. Cole then credited Geo for allowing him to hold off the Hoarder. However, Geo confessed that he didn't actually enhance Cole's power, explaining that his powers don't affect living beings. Geo admitted that he was afraid to tell Cole the truth as he thought he would be abandoned. However, Cole told Geo that he still needed him, believing that Geo helped him realize his true potential.

Dragons Rising, Season 2[]

Force From the East[]

Looking at a photo of Cole and the Finders, Geo ponders about the former's location and potential mission result, and without anything to eat, Bonzle came to inform Geo, Fritz, and Spitz that more lost things were brought in, including a piece of which was part of Imperium's portal gate. While searching, they notice the Cloud Kingdom before wolf warriors drop down, intending to kidnap Bonzle. Despite the Finders' best, they nearly succeed until Cole returned and rescued her, and they retreat to the gate, where they immediately finish it and heads through it to the Monastery of Spinjitzu, where they discover two warriors managed to follow them.

The Spell at the Waterfall[]

After sending the wolf warriors back through the portal gate, Geo and the rest of the Finders went to Arin and Sora's room, where Bonzle explained to Geo, Cole, and Zane about how she is simply a spell and took on her current form upon Wu's advise before Geo and Cole were touched by her search for family.

To Mysterium[]

As they plan how to return Bonzle to her creator, they find Fritz and Spitz heading down the hangar bay, where they mess around in the SA Mark 01, until Zane activated the kill switch. While Cole, Zane, and Bonzle went to the dragon stables, Geo stayed in the hangar bay, presumably to scold the two boys.

Fugitives From Madness[]

Geo was with Fritz, Spitz, and Mr. Frohicky when they see the Blood Moon rise.

Enter the City of Temples[]

Geo was diligently tending to his art garden when the Spirit Dragons arrived to extend an invitation to him for the Tournament of the Sources, held in the City of Temples. Eager to reunite with Cole, who left the Land of Lost Things after the Ritual of the Blood Moon, Geo gladly accepted the invitation.

Between Enter the City of Temples and Inside the Maze[]

Prior to leaving for the tournament, Geo had Gandalaria babysit Fritz and Spitz.[2]

Inside the Maze[]

Geo runs into Cole while buying fruit. They look around the city together and see the Elemental Earth Mech on display. Geo theorizes the Mech used to belong to a previous master of earth, with Cole thinking it was his Mom’s. Later, Geo watches from the bleachers as the Ninja match against Ras’ team. He was shocked when Nya’s opponent turned out to be Jay, a friend of Cole’s, whom he heard about.

United We Fall[]

Truth and Lies[]

The Sword Shatters[]

Geo was creating a statue of Roby to be used as an exhibit for the Temple City Museum. During this, Geo waved to Arin.

Later a match of the tournament, Geo faced off against Gorge. Seeing that Gorge had enlarged to avoid falling into the spaces between the blocks, Geo used Fusion to combine the grids, leading to the collapse of all blocks situated beneath Gorge. Consequently, Geo was declared the winner of the round, and Roby facilitated the transfer of Gorge's Elemental Powers to Geo via the Elemental Cup.

Geo subsequently competed against Lloyd in a match that required him to collect three holographic gems to secure victory. Although Geo attempted to use Size to gain an advantage, Lloyd effectively used the Propulsion to reach all three gems ahead of him, ultimately winning the round. Consequently, Roby transferred Geo's powers to Lloyd.

Clues and Suspects[]

Geo was with the Ninja when they were recuperating Lloyd, who was seriously injured because of Zeatrix.

The Final Game[]

Geo watched the final round of the Tournament of the Sources from the spectator stands.

Soon thereafter, he watched in surprise when Wyldfyre arrived with Zur to expose Bleckt after Nokt defeated Sora.

Elements of Betrayal[]

Geo can be seen fighting alongside several other Elemental Masters against Cinder and the Wolf Mask Warriors in hand-to-hand combat. He later got his elemental power back after Roby returns all the powers to their respective masters and help defeat the Wolf Clan. He later watched Roby declare Sora the default winner of the tournament, and later accompanied the Ninja to the Monastery of Spinjitzu with Frak.

Official descriptions[]

The unsung of heroes and villains[]

Geo is a Munce with the colour of a Geckle. But Munces and Geckles hate each other, so he became the odd one out, the one nobody wanted and everyone forgot about. So after the Merge, he ended up in the Land of Lost Things. There he found a new family: Cole and the Finders, and he acquired the unique Elemental Power of Fusion.[3]

Mysteries of the Merged World[]

Geo himself is something of a fusion. He comes from a land of two warring tribes: the Muntzes and the Geckles. He's a Muntz with the pattern of a Geckle, which made him an outcast.

Etymology[]

Geo- is a prefix derived from the Greek word γῆ or γαῖα, meaning "Earth", usually in the sense of "Ground" or "Land”.

Trivia[]

  • Prior to his introduction, Geo was initially hinted at by Asa Tait through a drawing of Lobbo dressing up as Geo.[4]
  • Geo's Munce features are his height, his hair, his orange eyes, and his teeth, and his Geckle features are his purple skin color, his long ears, and the shape of his eyebrows.
    • He is the only Munce whose name doesn't start with an M because it starts with a G, the letter every Geckle name starts with.
  • It is evident that Geo's exile by both Munce and Geckles occurred prior to the events of Master of the Mountain, as it transpired during the Munce and Geckles' conflict that concluded in Master of the Mountain. Additionally, Geo and Cole are confirmed to be of the same age.[5]
  • Geo is the last new Elemental Master to appear in Season 1 of Dragons Rising following the Merge. Unlike the previous three, his Elemental Powers do not align with his place of origin, instead they align with his appearance. Additionally, he is the only one out of the four to come from Ninjago, while the others are from parallel realms.
  • Chris "Doc" Wyatt has alluded to Geode, the fandom-given name for the relationship between Cole and Geo.[6] He has also liked tweets in support of it being canon.[7]
    • Writer Glen Lakin also supports the relationship, though "cannot comment on what is/isn't canon."[8]
    • When asked if they will kiss at some point, the writers replied to "keep watching the show."[9]
  • He is the first Munce to be an Elemental Master, the second Munce being Mord.
  • Geo was told by Cole about his adventures, including the Battle for Shintaro Mountain. However, he has no need or desire to go back to Shintaro after the Muce and Geckles made peace because he wasn't treated well there.[10]
