The glass core was a unique prison designed specifically to capture Source Dragons and harness their dragon power. However, the action caused the realms to become destabilized, until Lloyd used the Dragon Cores to liberate the Source Dragon of Energy, effectively neutralizing the consequences of his release.

History

We Are All Dragons

While Jordana and the other scientists trying to drain the Source dragon's energy, the glass core was seen with the Source Dragon of Energy roaring in pain.

The Power Within

The glass core was ultimately destroyed after Lloyd used the dragon cores to stable the Source Dragon's release.

• When questioned about whether the Source Dragon of Energy being trapped in the glass core led to the Merge, as the Source Dragon of Energy had stated that the realms became unstable due to this, Chris "Doc" Wyatt acknowledged that it was a valid inquiry, but he expressed his inability to provide an answer to it.
