The Golden Peaks are a series of mountains in Ninjago where the Golden Weapons were created (using its gold), as well as the Mega Weapon. These mountains include a large volcano with unusual golden-colored lava in its crater, possibly molten gold.
History
The Golden Peaks existed before the First Spinjitzu Master, and along with the Temple of Light, they were originally the only locations to exist in Ninjago.[1][2] The First Spinjitzu Master used gold from the peaks in order to make the Four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu.
After Garmadon's banishment to the Underworld, Garmadon's brother Wu then sealed the Sword of Fire in the Fire Temple, the Shurikens of Ice in the Frozen Wasteland, the Nunchucks of Lightning in the Floating Ruins, and the Scythe of Quakes in the Caves of Despair in hopes of Garmadon never being able to find them.
Darkness Shall Rise
After retrieving all four Golden Weapons, Lord Garmadon journeyed to the Golden Peaks with the Serpentine to combine them into the Mega Weapon.
Shadow of Ronin (Non-canon)
While Lloyd was grieving over a tragedy, he journeyed to the Golden Peaks to find inner peace. While there, the ninja came looking for Misako, and Lloyd abandoned his solitude to help find her.

Trivia
- How the Golden Peaks were able to forge the Mega Weapon is unknown, since they merely served as a source of material when the First Spinjitzu Master was creating the Golden Weapons.
- The Golden Peak's existence also contradicts Ninjago's creation; the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago with the Golden Weapons, but used the volcano to create the weapons, implying it existed before he created the world.
