The Lair of Tanabrax (flashback)[]
Five days after Garmadon and Wu left the Temple of Felis, they came across this village. Exhausted, hungry, and low on supplies, the brothers decided to stop the night in the village, making their way to the village center. Although they passed by many villagers as they walked through the small town, everyone seemed to be cold and unfriendly, insisting that the brothers had best be on their way, much to their confusion. Entering the village's marketplace, the brothers passed by multiple vendor stalls until their eyes finally settled on one that sold freshly made dumplings. Discovering that they could only afford a single dumpling, Garmadon approached the vendor to order a single dumpling, haggling with her over which one was the largest one. Moments later, the vendor's granddaughter, a young lady around the brothers' age, appeared and took pity on the boys, requesting her grandmother to give them a full plate of dumplings. After introductions, the boys asked the women if they could spend the night at their home, though Obachan dryly remarked that they should leave as soon as possible, finally causing both brothers to ask why everyone kept telling them that. Hana would then explain that their village had been plagued by a spate of mysterious disappearances lately, and the townsfolk were not being rude to the brothers, but rather feared for their safety. Nevertheless, Hana insisted that the two stay the night, as the next nearest village was almost a full day's journey away and they would be safer here.
At nightfall, the brothers were awoken by the sound of a man screaming, prompting both brothers to take action. Springing outside, they discovered that the man was being carried away by an army of living Puppets, whom the brothers easily defeated and sent fleeing from the village grounds. Returning to Hana's home, the brothers learned the full truth about the village's plight and agreed to help rescue the kidnapped villagers and defeat the mastermind behind the kidnappings.
The next evening, after an unsuccessful trap, Garmadon returned to the village with a puppet captive, bringing him to Hana's home for questioning. After the puppet revealed all he knew about his dark master, Tanabrax, Obachan rallied up everyone in the village as they all looked to Garmadon for training as they prepared for an assault on Tanabrax's lair.
Following Tanabrax's destruction and the restoration of the kidnapped villagers, whose souls had been transferred into puppet bodies, all returned to the village to celebrate with a feast. Before the Sons of the First Spinjitzu Master departed, Hana expressed her deepest thanks to them and Obachan buried Tanabrax's Medallion deep belong the ground, believing that no one would ever find that foul medallion again.
