I Will Be the Danger is the eighth episode of the first season of Ninjago: Dragons Rising.
Synopsis[]
To bust the imprisoned dragons out of Imperium, the Ninja will need to work hard, think fast and find one big exit! Unless the Photacs get there first.
Extended: Wyldfyre's flashback shows her childhood raised by Heatwave until the Merge allows The Imperium to capture the dragon. In the present, Wyldfyre and Lloyd free Heatwave and other dragons and face a standoff against the Dragon Hunters and Sora's Photacs. Lloyd grabs Arin during the stampede, and Sora escapes the lab in search of Riyu. With a boost from the dragon, she could use her Elemental Powers to shut down the Photacs, but Riyu is kidnapped.[1]
Plot[]

Heatwave meets Wyldfyre
Many years before the Merge, Heatwave was consuming lava when a ship crashed up ahead and he went to investigate. What emerged from the ship was a robot, who is requesting assistance in raising a baby it was carrying inside before showing him a baby girl, who would later be named Wyldfyre. By the time she was learning to walk, Wyldfyre nearly falls off a cliff trying to grab a Wyldmelon, but is saved by Heatwave, who splits it open for her. As a small child, Wyldfyre was hoping to touch fire, but was stopped by the robot, and enjoyed riding Heatwave and imitating his roaring. When she was taught the word 'Family' by the robot, Wyldfyre started to understand that Heatwave is family. One night, Wyldfyre, Heatwave and the robot were oblivious to the Merge, due to sleeping, and the next day, Wyldfyre started generating flames in her hand, surprising the robot, whom reprograms itself to help Wyldfyre control her newfound powers. Then, several days before the present, Wyldfyre was relaxing her feet in a hot spring when the Claws of Imperium kidnap Heatwave, and she was helpless to stop them. Desperate to rescue a member of her family, Wyldfyre packs some supplies and tells the robot, who told her there will be danger, that she will be the danger.

Wyldfyre discovers that she has powers
In the present, having broken the dragons out and surrounded by Imperium Guards, Lloyd and Wyldfyre have different plans with Lloyd, having a fake Imperian I.D., hoping to settle the situation, but Wyldfyre simply wants to fight. Taking down the guards and opening the roof hatch, the dragons try to fly out, but are stopped by the city's electro-barrier, so, briefly teaching Wyldfyre the word 'city', they head for the main gates.
In another part of town, the Imperium Teen Protection Force were appalled by Arin for trying to hide Riyu from them and being an outlander, and prepare to fight him. However, the dragons passing by knocked a banner on top of them, giving the two the opportunity to flee.
The dragons, unfortunately, despite being freed, went on a rampage around Imperium as revenge for being held, even damaging some buildings, which nearly hit some Imperians. They then easily get through Rapton's roadblock before Lord Ras orders them to report to the Advanced Systems Lab, where Sora had just finished the Photacs for the Claws of Imperium.

Kai is guided by a mysterious spirit
Back at the monastery, Kai, who had recently closed a rift caused by a MergeQuake, plays Lava Zombies, until the power goes out and the elevator opens up. Entering it, the door suddenly closes and the elevator goes down at torrential speed that Kai ended up on the ceiling until he landed back on the ground once it stopped. When it opened, Kai discovered that instead of the hangar bay, he was at an entrance before a yellow orb starts to guide him inside.

Dragons vs. Photacs
Back in Imperium, Arin ended up separated from Riyu before he is picked up by Lloyd, briefly introduced to Wyldfyre, and told him his current situation. However, Percival, the leader of the Imperium Teenage Protection Force, has managed to capture Riyu and was moving him along on his hoverboard. By the time they reach the gates, they were stopped by Rapton's forces on Photacs, causing Arin to realize that Sora had activated them, leading to Lloyd questioning her true alignment. Back in the Advanced Systems Lab, Sora manages to knock out Dr. LaRow and Dorama, the latter having struck the panel controlling the dragon Sora's cell before they make their getaway, reaching Lloyd's group as they fight Rapton's. Upon reaching them, Arin gives her a cold look while Lloyd silently lets her know how hurt he is over her "betrayal". In his fury, Arin proceeded to confront Sora over activating more of the Photacs, but she explained the reason behind her actions before revealing a secret way to shut down the Photacs, but Riyu is needed, so Lloyd has her and Arin search for him.

Kai finds Nya
As he made his way through the underground building, Kai comes across Nya, who thinks she is still in the Cloud Kingdom.
