This article requires cleanup to meet the Ninjago Wiki's quality standards. The specific problem is: most of the history needs to be past tense and some in-universe, "ninja" needs to be uncapitalized, The Island and Seabound sections need clarification, and the Crystalized section needs to be completed. Early life[]

Jay was born as the son of famous actor Cliff Gordon and the Elemental Master of Lightning. Due to Cliff's womanizing nature,[1] Jay was given up by his parents as a baby and left at the doorstep of an inventor couple and owners of a large junkyard, Ed and Edna Walker, with a key to his future house. The two adopted Jay as their own son.[2]

When Jay was little, he used to collect train models and was an expert in Ninjago's train's history.[3]

When Jay was five, he was given a stuffed animal, Mister Cuddlywomp, which he has slept with ever since.[4]

When Jay was growing up, he loved reading the comic book called "Daffy Dale".[5]

At one point, Jay and Edna participated in the Mother-Son Skate-Off and won first place.[6]

At school, Jay went on a number of field trips to the Ninjago Museum of History, which he found very boring.[7][8]

Jay's gliders.

One morning, Jay took off to test one of his inventions, a set of gliders, for apparently the sixth time. The wings worked well, even spinning twice, but Jay ended up crashing into a billboard. As he picked himself up from the rooftop onto which he fell, he met Master Wu. He claimed he was a dreamer himself and he can build the impossible.[9]

Jay soon took up residence at the Monastery of Spinjitzu and began his training, meeting Cole and Zane in the process.

Pilot episodes[]

Way of the Ninja[]

Master Wu eventually recruited another ninja, a young blacksmith named Kai, whose sister had been abducted by the Skulkin. As Kai neared the end of his training, Jay and the others infiltrated the Monastery and surrounded the blacksmith.

The Golden Weapon[]

Their fight against Kai eventually took them out into the training yard only for Wu to break up the fight. Like the others, Jay was reluctant when their Master revealed Kai would be the fourth member of the team, stating that there are only ever teams of three in stories. Wu quickly quieted the matter and provided the Ninja with new gi using Spinjitzu. Jay was given a blue suit, as Wu pronounced him the Ninja of Lightning. Wu proceeded to explain their purpose, to which Kai interjected about when they would save his sister. Jay immediately expressed interest that they were saving a girl, but Wu announced that they would now leave to claim the first Golden Weapon.

As a team-building exercise, Wu had the Ninja pull him in the carriage to the Caves of Despair. On the way, the four ninja told the circumstances of how they met Master Wu and agreed that if it hadn't been for their master, they would never be seen together.

Upon arriving at the Caves of Despair, Jay asked Cole about the plan to infiltrate the Skulkin camp but was unable to execute it as Kai ran off on his own. The three other ninja followed and after stealing the map to Golden Weapons from Samukai, managed to locate the Scythe of Quakes. The ninja hoped to sneak out while the Skulkin were busy, but Jay unintentionally alerted the skeletons to their presence and thus were waiting when the ninja emerged from the caves. The ninja faced their foes and in the process, Jay learned how to unlock Spinjitzu which he quickly passed on to the others. The Skeletons quickly retreated, as the Ninja had awoken the Earth-Dragon. After Kai attempted to use the Scythe to stave off the beast, Jay used Spinjitzu to escape.

King of Shadows[]

After getting the Scythe, the ninja and their master set out to find the next three Golden Weapons. Traveling by boat, Master Wu told the four about the Tornado of Creation and its capabilities. When they reached the Ice Temple in the Frozen Wasteland, Zane grabbed the Shurikens of Ice, but the weapons froze him solid and awakened the Ice Dragon. Jay joined his comrades in lifting the frozen Zane and using him as a sled to retreat to the boat.

Lightning Dragon/Guardian

Their next stop was the Floating Ruins, where they sought the Nunchucks of Lightning. Jay grabbed the Nunchucks, and the ninja escaped from the Lightning Dragon with his gliders. They ended up in the Forest of Tranquility, where they made camp for the night. During the night, Kai spotted Nya and followed her to the Fire Temple. Unbeknownst to Kai, this was a trap set by Lord Garmadon, both to claim the Sword of Fire and to leave Jay and the others vulnerable to an ambush.

Along with Cole and Zane, Jay was captured when the Skulkin ambushed their camp, taking their Golden Weapons in the process. Jay managed to free himself and his friends after stealing a sword from Nuckal, and the ninja battled the skeletons as they tried to escape to the Underworld. After a fierce battle, the Ninja were knocked off the Skulkin's vehicles as they disappeared into portals, with Jay suffering a blow to the throat that left him unable to speak.

Weapons of Destiny[]

Jay and his teammates went to the Fire Temple in search of Kai and Master Wu, only to see the temple opening up to allow the Fire Dragon an exit. Jay stared in surprise as Kai explained that he had befriended the dragon after revealing that the ninja were trying to protect the Golden Weapons, but his attention was quickly drawn to Nya as she explained that dragons can cross into the Underworld. He rasped something that Zane translated as a question about Nya's favorite color and briefly celebrated when she revealed it to be blue.

In order to pursue Master Wu and the Skulkin, the ninja recruited the other three elemental dragons, with Jay taking the Lightning Dragon as his steed. After the dragons crossed over to the Underworld, the Ninja tried to sneak into Lord Garmadon's fortress by jumping across the stalactites on the ceiling. As they moved over the fortress, Jay suddenly began panicking, only for the others to brush off his unintelligible babbling. However, the other ninja soon realized what Jay had already discovered: they were holding onto Spykor legs instead of stalactites.

In their shock, they fell into the courtyard outside the fortress, where they were quickly surrounded by Skulkins and Spykors. In response to Cole's demand for an idea for fighting the horde, Jay attempted to suggest the Tornado of Creation. Although the others repeatedly misinterpreted his rasping, Jay finally got his point across when he recovered from his injury and screamed "Tornado of CREATION!" at the top of his lungs. Despite the risks, the ninja used their Spinjitzu to perform the Tornado of Creation, defeating their foes in seconds.

With the skeletons defeated, the ninja proceeded to enter Garmadon's fortress, where they found Master Wu battling Samukai for possession of the Golden Weapons. During the fight, Jay enjoyed a cone of cotton candy he had somehow procured, only for Kai to knock it out of his hand as Master Wu was defeated. Jay watched Samukai's attempt to betray Lord Garmadon backfire as he was overwhelmed by the combined power of the Golden Weapons, creating a portal that Lord Garmadon quickly escaped through. With their enemies gone, for the time being, the ninja collected the Golden Weapons and returned to the mortal world with their master. Back at Four Weapons, they reunited with Nya and renewed their pledge to protect the world if Garmadon—or any other evil—surfaced.

Mini-movies[]

Secrets of the Blacksmith[]

Jay flew Nya back to Four Weapons with his Lightning Dragon (now named Wisp), so she could gather her things and move in with the Ninja. Unbeknownst to him, Nya was attacked by Wyplash and three of his minions within the shop. The sound of a fight caught his attention, prompting him to hurry into the blacksmithy, only to find Nya calmly packing the rest of her possessions. He asked her what the sound was, but she replied that it was "just some Samurai helmets and stuff." With that, Jay and Nya climbed aboard the Lightning Dragon and flew back to the Monastery of Spinjitzu.

Flight of the Dragon Ninja[]

Although Master Wu told the Ninja to continue their training, they opted to spend their time racing on their dragons. Jay won the race one day and began bragging that he was the best Ninja because of it. In response, Cole challenges his friends to another race, with the winner becoming "Dragon Master" for a month.

During the race, Cole and Jay sped through the forest, with Wisp's agility allowing it to dodge around the trees. The group approached the Monastery neck and neck, but Cole arrived first by dangling a chicken in front of his Dragon's nose. When Cole proclaimed himself "Dragon Master" for a month, Jay and the others claimed that they never agreed to those terms, challenging Cole to another race the next day.

The New Masters of Spinjitzu[]

One night, while the Ninja were sleeping, Kruncha and Nuckal infiltrated the Monastery of Spinjitzu to steal the Golden Weapons. Jay proved to be the most difficult Ninja to separate from his weapon, as he was cradling the Nunchucks of Lightning in his arms, but the skeletons managed to replace the nunchucks with a cotton candy cone before Jay could wake up and notice the switch. Luckily for the Ninja, Kruncha and Nuckal quickly discovered that they could not control the Golden Weapons, causing them to accidentally activate the training course and batter each other with out-of-control Spinjitzu.

Jay was stirred from his slumber when he heard Kai yelling that the training course had turned itself on again. In response to Kai's demand for the glitch to be fixed, Jay grumpily yelled that he would look at it in the morning, apparently unaware that his weapon had been replaced in his arms. He was soon fast asleep once more, preventing him from noticing the Skulkin Generals replacing the Nunchucks of Lightning in his arms before making their exit.

Battle Between Brothers[]

After Wu told Zane there were many years of peace after Garmadon was banished to the Underworld, Jay flew overhead on his Dragon, causing Zane to tell Wu those days are over.

With peace throughout Ninjago, Jay and the other Ninja fell out of training and instead spent their time playing video games. After a three hour marathon, they were interrupted by Wu who unplugged the TV, who encouraged them not to put off tomorrow what could be done that day and start training again to prepare for his brother's return to Ninjago. At that moment, Nya rushed in bringing word that Garmadon was spotted in Jamanakai Village. The out-of-shape Ninja then rushed out the door and down to the dragon pen where Jay attempted to mount the Lightning Dragon but overshot its' saddle.

Eager to get back in the fight, the ninja raced each other to Jamanakai Village, but upon arrival, Jay argued with Kai who had arrived first. They were interrupted by the sound of evil laughter from the village and drawing their weapons, approached the village ready for battle. However, the Blue Ninja was surprised to find that it was in fact Lloyd Garmadon, the dark lord's son, who was, in fact, causing trouble saying that he will release the serpentine, an ancient race of snakes which once ruled Ninjago, for candy. The Ninja tied him at the top of a sign, embarrassing him in front of the villagers as they mocked him by eating candy.

As they prepared to return to the monastery, Kai discovered the prophecy of the Green Ninja in Wu's bag which he had taken by mistake. Jay believed himself to be the Green Ninja as did the others so when they returned to the monastery, the four Spinjitzu masters challenged themselves to a tournament for the title. Jay faced off against Kai in the first round, though lost and announced the final round between Kai and Cole. However, the tournament ended when Kai lost control of the Sword of Fire and the Ninja were scolded by Master Wu.

Determined to be the Green Ninja, Jay and the others devoted themselves to training. They were soon ordered back to Jamanakai Village by Wu however as Lloyd had unleashed the Hypnobrai tribe of Serpentine. This time Jay successfully mounted the Lightning Dragon and upon arriving at the village, met up with Nya. After discovering they would need the anti-venom from the General's staff to save the village, the Ninja split up and after a fight with the snakes, sent them retreating.

MoS2JayLetter

Jay receiving a letter from his parents

With the threat of Lloyd and the Serpentine looming, Jay and the other Ninja resumed training with gusto. Jay was deflecting arrows with his Nunchucks when Zane suddenly whirled past him, breaking his concentration. After the other two Ninja were similarly interrupted, they questioned Master Wu about Zane's oddities, with Jay recalling a time that Zane laughed hysterically at a tragic moment in a movie he was watching with Jay and Nya.

The discussion was interrupted when the Mailman arrived with mail for the Ninja, including a letter from Jay's parents. Noticing that Zane had not received any mail, Jay asked Zane why he never receives any letters from his parents, learning that Zane had been an orphan all his life.

Later that night, Jay joined his friends in laughing at Zane's pink apron before engaging in a food fight in an (unsuccessful) attempt to make his stoic comrade laugh. The next morning, he and the other Ninja were dragged to Wildwood Forest by Zane, who claimed that he had followed a bird to something important. Jay quipped that Zane might have seen a "cuckoo bird," but Zane missed the joke, commenting that cuckoos were non-indigenous to the area.

Nonetheless, the Ninja eventually came upon what Zane had found the night before: a massive arboreal fortress being built by the Hypnobrai for Lloyd. Realizing that Lloyd was trying to get a foothold in Ninjago, the Ninja decided to destroy the fortress, with Kai suggesting that they destroy all three ropes holding up the fort. Jay and Zane ascended the fortress by nimbly jumping up the side of an elevator, and each took position next to one of the ropes supporting the structure.

Once Cole and Kai were in position, Jay used his Spinjitzu to cut his rope, destabilizing the fortress. After Zane cut the second rope, Jay met up with Kai on the roof, planning to jump clear as Cole cut the final rope. Unfortunately, Cole instead opted to leap from his perch and attack his teammates—Zane realized that Cole had been hypnotized by one of the Hypnobrai. With time running out, Jay reluctantly used the Nunchucks of Lightning to electrocute his friend, hoping to literally shock him out of his trance, but the attack failed to break the spell.

Before Cole could bring the fortress down on himself and his team, Master Wu and Nya arrived on Flame's back, with the former playing a special flute that breaks Cole's spell. Jay accompanied the others in jumping off the roof moments before the entire fortress collapsed, landing on the Fire Dragon's back as it flew to safety. When returning to the Monastery, they find the entire building demolished and burned to a crisp, causing the Ninja to turn on Zane and blame him for destroying their home. When they go to apologize, however, they find Zane leaving on his Dragon, Shard. Later that evening, Zane returns and explains he was following the falcon, which led him to Destiny's Bounty, the Ninja's new home.

Snakebit[]

The ninja were awoken the next morning by Master Wu and Jay immediately went to brush his teeth only to discover that the faucet was filled with dirt. Due to their new home not being in the best shape, Wu ordered the ninja to spend the morning cleaning it up. Jay used the Nunchucks of Lightning to get the ship's power working, then used Spinjitzu to clean off the deck.

With their hard work over, the ninja celebrated by playing video games but were interrupted by the arrival of Jay's parents; Ed and Edna. He reluctantly gave them a tour of the ship but was constantly embarrassed by them in front of the ninja. Towards the evening, he was finally able to get rid of them by ushering them back to the junkyard due to the Serpentine being about, but not before Edna told the other ninja of how he used to kiss his pillow. The next day, Jay kept his promise to his father and visited the junkyard with the others on foot, as the ninja's Dragons migrated east to begin a transformation in their stage of life. When they arrived, the place was quiet, which worried Jay, since his parents were "never quiet." He found Ed and Edna captive and began their transformation to snakes. While the Fangpyre fought the ninja, Master explained the only way to change Jay's parents back was to get the staff from the anti-venom. After they discovered they had the ability to transform to vehicles, Jay used his Storm Glider plane to steal the Snake Staff from the Rattlecopter. Nya created the anti-venom before she accidentally lost the staff, and Ed fixed the "defense system" Jay was working on earlier in the episode, allowing them to take flight and escape the Fangpyre.

Never Trust a Snake[]

MoS4ShockedToSee

Jay joined the other ninja in asking Zane about what he saw in a dream about the Green Ninja, causing them to slack off with their training. As punishment, Master Wu told the ninja that they must train constantly until they answered a riddle: "What is the best way to defeat an enemy?" Jay immediately answered, "with your fists," which was incorrect, so the ninja had to train until they figured it out.

The moment Master Wu left them alone, however, Zane resumed telling everyone about his dream. Jay insisted that he must be the Green Ninja because, in Zane's dream, the Green Ninja had nunchucks, like Jay. While they were arguing, Master asked if they had found the answer. Kai answered incorrectly with "train?" so they had to go back to training, but Jay said he couldn't focus unless he knew who the Green Ninja was.

The next day, the ninja all agreed that the answer to the riddle was "teamwork," only to find that they were incorrect again. When Nya reported that Lloyd and his new Serpentine minion—Pythor P. Chumsworth—were at Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys, Jay was reluctant to go, as the school was for the "crooked and misbehaved." After being persuaded by Cole, however, he came up with a plan to use the anchor of the Destiny's Bounty to surprise the villains. Unfortunately, the impact pushed the ninja to the bottom floor, forcing them to make their way up to the roof while avoiding Lloyd's booby traps.

Jay took the elevator and nearly fell asleep due to the music. When he arrived at the top floor, Cole (still recovering from one of the traps) pointed him in the direction of Pythor. This made Jay the only ninja to reach the villains. Before he could engage Pythor and Lloyd, the scheming Anacondrai betrayed the boy, and took his map and left him all alone with Jay. The Blue Ninja apprehended the would-be evil overlord as Master and Nya arrived on Destiny's Bounty along with the other ninja. The Ninja tried to think up a suitable punishment, but Master knew what to do.

Later that night, Jay along with the other ninja were furious that Lloyd had been read a bedtime story and wasn't punished and they had to spend all day training. Master revealed the answer to the riddle: To make the enemy your friend. This changed Jay's mind about Lloyd.

Can of Worms[]

Jay preparing for a training

Wanting to get some training with the sparring bot on difficulty level 2, Jay was told by Lloyd that Zane tried to repair it, making it stuck in level 9. He and the other Ninja scolded each other until it was revealed Lloyd was behind the rumors, with Master Wu requesting him to do so. Over the speakers, Nya announced that the team is needed on the bridge. After arriving, Jay was able to figure out where the Venomari and Constrictai Tombs were located.

Jay was assigned with Kai to search the Toxic Bogs for the Venomari Tomb. Having found it empty, they, along with Cole and Zane intending to warn them about the trap, were surrounded by a hoard of Venomari and Constrictai. They jumped on a log to escape, only to slowly float away while the log dissolves in Toxic. However, they were saved by the mysterious Samurai X, who knocked them out with sleeping gas.

Upon reaching the Serpentines' headquarters to prevent Pythor from uniting them, Jay and the Ninja started messing with them to catch them off guard. The Serpentine, however, were able to capture them, except for Zane, who eventually freed them.

The Snake King[]

Jay ate with his fellow Ninja in the wake of their failure to stop Pythor from unleashing all of the Serpentine tribes, discussing the loss of the Sacred Flute and the mysterious Samurai X. He was particularly enraged when the mysterious samurai repeatedly beat the Ninja to every crisis and agreed to the bet that whoever caught the samurai would be worthy of being the Green Ninja.

Jay at west ep.6

Jay disguised as a woman in distress.

Jay attempted to trick the samurai by disguising himself as a woman and tying himself to railroad tracks in the path of an oncoming train, only for Samurai X to redirect the train instead of grabbing him. Later, Jay accompanied his fellow Ninja in searching for Lloyd, who had gone missing. Their search led them to the Lost City of Ouroboros, where they discovered that Pythor had successfully united the Serpentine under his own leadership and captured Lloyd. Their rescue attempt was thwarted by a trap in the arena, and Jay found himself and his allies deprived of their Golden Weapons and forced to fight Samurai X in the Slither Pit. The enigmatic samurai managed to help the Ninja escape and retrieved the Golden Weapons, but his Samurai Mech crashed in the desert and separated Kai from the others. When Kai returned with the Golden Weapons, Jay asked about the samurai, but Kai claimed that Samurai X had simply given back the weapons and left without a word.

Tick Tock[]

With the Serpentine's threat growing greater by the day, the Ninja continued to push themselves further in their training. Jay once climbed atop a massive skyscraper in the middle of a raging thunderstorm, balancing himself atop a lightning rod with one hand and performing various acrobatics. He later bore witness to Zane breaking his old breath-holding record, sharing his teammates' shock when Zane remained underwater for over ten minutes.

Once Bitten, Twice Shy[]

Jay before his date with Nya

After listening to Nya's theories on how an increase in heart rate might be able to counter the bite of a Fangpyre, Jay asked her out on a date, to which she agreed. In his joy, Jay accidentally pricked himself on the fang of a Fangpyre skeleton, causing him to slowly transform into a snake. Nonetheless, he took Nya on a date, which ended up being at the Mega Monster Amusement Park when the Ninja discovered Pythor and the other Serpentine searching for the first Fangblade.

In the process, Jay learned that Nya was Samurai X and ended up trapped on a roller coaster ride meant to destroy him and his girlfriend. However, Nya was able to cure his Fangpyre infection with a kiss, and Jay unlocked his True Potential to save Nya and himself from the trap, although Pythor still escaped with the Fangblade.

The Royal Blacksmiths[]

22Backstage

Ninja before their performance

Jay, along with the rest of the Ninja, are trying to think of ways to stop Pythor. Jay mentions he can't believe Nya was the Samurai all along, but Kai, who is still hotheaded about not unlocking his True Potential, scolded him. They eventually found out that one of the Fangblades was turned into the [[Blade Cup]], which can only be won from the Ninjago Talent Show. They then agreed to win it, but without letting Cole's father know they're Ninja.

Later, when they reached Lou's house, Cole had the Ninja hide their weapons inside an instrument case, explaining that they can't let him know they're Ninja. After they were let in, Lou explained that the Blade Cup will be given to those who earned it.

The Ninja start training but realized Lou is stricter than Wu. Inspired by Lou's pep-talk to earn it the right way, Jay suggests they win it rather than steal it, which was rejected by Cole. Later, the Ninja trained outside, unaware that Pythor and Skales are watching them.

At the Concert Hall, Jay accidentally bumped into Kai and demanded him to follow him. Cole, annoyed, told them to just stick to their plan and steal the trophy once it's been revealed. Jay watched as Lou, having heard this, told Cole that he couldn't be proud to have a son who wanted to steal. After trying to comfort Cole, they spotted the Treble Makers and wondered why they were there. After seeing Pythor, wearing a fake beard as a disguise, as a judge, the Ninja were surprised to hear Cole suggesting they win the trophy their way.

On stage, the Ninja dance to The Weekend Whip while a few Serpentine attacks them. Cole successfully performed the Triple Tiger Sashay, which surprised everyone. After winning the trophy, Cole allowed the team to celebrate without him, as his father wasn't there to watch him. This was proved false, as Lou said otherwise and said he's a hero.

Suddenly, Pythor attacked the group and crushed Lou and Cole. The Ninja noted that Cole unlocked his True Potential and that his relationship with his father must have been holding him back. When they got back to Lou's house, he put up a picture of the Ninja and said they're all part of the family now.

The Green Ninja[]

After training with Cole and Zane on the Bounty's deck, the Ninja found Kai in the Green Ninja gi trying to unlock his True Potential. Hearing Wu announcing that he's home, everyone but Kai went to greet him. Jay told his Master about Zane being a Nindroid, Nya being the Samurai, and Cole's past, much to his confusion. When Kai joined them after having changed back to his own gi, Garmadon emerged behind Wu, shocking the group. When Wu explained he's there for his son, Jay reluctantly agreed to let Garmadon stay at the Bounty. At the bridge, Jay informed Wu that Pythor has three of the four Fangblades, and how they discovered Zane is a robot.

During a montage, Jay and the rest of the team watched as Garmadon brushed his teeth with a nail file. While admiring Nya watch a romance movie, Garmadon changed the channel, annoying them both. When the Ninja are trying to sleep, they were kept awake by Garmadon's lightning.

The next day, Jay told Kai he's supposed to be in the bridge and that the Falcon found the Serpentine and Lloyd heading toward the Fire Temple. When Kai went after Garmadon (assuming he was trying to steal the Golden Weapons) Jay tried to break them up, but the door was locked, causing Cole to break it down with his True Potential. When they broke in, Jay found Kai pinning Garmaddon to the floor. When he realized that Garmaddon was just fetching their weapons, he was disgusted with Kai for his foolishness.

The Bounty finally landed at the Temple's entrance, and the Ninja put their weapons away as the volcano is too unstable. After fighting off the Serpentine, Jay tried to convince Kai to leave the Fangblade and the Temple before it erupted, but failed and was forced to leave (leaving Lloyd behind in the process).

After the volcano erupted, Jay was surprised to find Lloyd and Kai, who unlocked his True Potential. After the latter explained his training was to protect the chosen one, Jay watched as the Golden Weapons reacted to Lloyd. Jay then asked about the Fangblade left in the Temple, which is now in Pythor's possession.

All of Nothing[]

The Ninja chased down Spitta to make him tell them where the last Fangblade was. At the Bounty, Nya calculated that by the time they get to the Fangblade's location, they would be too late. When Lloyd suggests they steal the other three Fangblades, the Ninja realized they don't know where they are and that Pythor could have some Serpentine guard them. With that, they decide to head toward the Serpentine base.

The next day, the Ninja are training while Wu tested them about the Serpentines' powers. Once they reached the fortress, Jay was confused as to why it isn't guarded, unlike what Zane predicted. After Cole discovered a hidden door, the Ninja, Wu, and Nya went in, only to find too many Serpentine to deal with.

Unfortunately, the Ninja have been spotted and was forced to fight them, with Jay's armor protecting him from the Venomari venom. After Cole went toward the Fangblades, he triggered a trap, and the team is imprisoned in a Vengestone cage and their weapons were taken away. Nya was able to tell Lloyd about their status via her now faulty Samurai Mech.

Waiting for Lloyd to save them, Jay and Cole passed the time by playing checkers. Just as Jay was about to be kinged, Kai took one of his pieces—a tube of hair oil—and was able to slip through the gaps between the bars. The rest of the Ninja helped by swinging the cage back and forth. However, they made too much noise and was caught by Pythor, who put cuffs on them to prevent them from escaping.

After Lloyd made his way to the fortress, Garmadon appeared with an army of Skulkin to help fight off the snakes. Lloyd freed the Ninja, and Cole took the Fangblades from Pythor. Not knowing where he went, the Ninja escaped back to the Bounty. There, they celebrated getting all four Fangblades back and Garmadon's help, unaware that Pythor made his way into the ship.

The Rise of the Great Devourer[]

As the Destiny's Bounty flew towards Torchfire Mountain, Jay ate a sandwich in the dining room and conversed with Kai and Nya about the Fangblades and Lloyd's destiny as the Green Ninja. Cole burst in during the conversation, rather ill from the turbulence of the ship, and Jay only provoked his nausea by offering him a bite of his sandwich.

The next morning, the Ninja were preparing to throw the Fangblades into Torchfire Mountain when Master Wu began speaking oddly, having foreseen his own death in the near future. Jay did not understand his mentor's words, but further discussion was halted when the ship suddenly jerked to one side. Jay joined his peers in forming a human chain to catch Master Wu before he fell into the volcano, but this allowed Pythor (who had snuck aboard the ship and sabotaged the engines) to retrieve the Fangblades and make his escape on a Rattlecopter.

After Nya saved the Ninja and Master Wu with her mech, Jay joined his comrades in pursuing the fleeing Serpentine. When the snakes transformed their getaway vehicle—a Tour Ninjago" bus—into a mobile fortress, Jay helped Nya draw its fire so Zane could disable the heavily-armed rear section. With the train's main weapons removed, Jay joined the others atop the next car, where they agreed to race each other to the front. In the resulting race, Jay opted to swing through a window and perform Spinjitzu immediately upon landing, allowing him to knock the Serpentine occupants out of the car before he could even register the effect of his attack.

Eventually, Jay reunited with his team at the front of the penultimate car, with only Pythor and the Fangblades ahead. Before anyone could move in, Master Wu dashed to the other side of the connector and disconnected the front car from the train, leaving his pupils stranded in the desert while he confronted Pythor himself. Jay waited on the remains of the train until Lloyd came by with the Destiny's Bounty and airlifted the vehicle to Ouroboros. Unfortunately, the Ninja arrived too late—Pythor had already revived the Great Devourer.

Day of the Great Devourer[]

MoS13Holo

After they wittnessed Wu getting eaten by the Great Devourer, the ninja ran toward the Bounty. Even after throwing stuff off the ship, the Devourer grew bigger by consuming everything thrown off. They eventually fled the Bounty and watched as the Devourer swallowed it in one bite. Jay suggested they take refuge at the Serpentine underground base, but Kai motivated them to keep going. Jay sarcastically mentioned they use the Sacred Flute, which gave Kai an idea to build the Ultra Sonic Raider. At Ed and Edna's Junkyard, Jay checked if his parents were home, but they were not. The Postman came by to give Ed and Edna their mail, but told them that they were probably at the Take-Back Ninjago Rally. The ninja built the Raider just as the Devourer was going to attack them. They held the snake down and Kai noticed a weak spot on its forehead. After Jay took note of the spot, Nya pointed out that the Devourer was headed toward Ninjago, where everyone is.

Just as the Devourer was going to consume Jay's parents, Jay shocked it, making it attack other parts of the city. After Garmadon found the ninja, he asked for the Golden Weapons to defeat the Devourer and tasked them with making the Devourer remain in place long enough for him to take action. After doing so, Garmadon struck the snake on its forehead, killing it. However, Garmadon had disappeared, taking the Weapons with him. They found Wu, who survived, and went to greet him. The ninja later promised to help Lloyd train for the Final Battle.

Legacy of the Green Ninja[]

Darkness Shall Rise[]

After the Great Devourer's defeat, all the ninja, except Kai, who was complaining about the problems the Devourer caused, decided to help fix up Ninjago City. Later, Nya and Wu told them about a real estate agent named Patty Keys, who could provide them a new home and training equipment for Lloyd.

When Patty showed them to their new home, they were not impressed as everything was worn-down. When Jay hinted he wanted another room, Patty showed them to another suite, which included video games, a training course, and a place for the Dragon to rest, but they needed to work in order to pay off the rent.

Jay worked as a pizza deliverer, which went well until he wasn’t paid by a customer. When he got home, he was too exhausted to play games but delivered more pizzas to pay off the rent as soon as possible. Later, Jay had to go across town in five minutes. On the way, however, he saw someone getting mugged and decided to help. After helping and getting to his destination, Jay noted that it’s vacant. Hearing Serpentine talking about robbing the bank, he decided to get closer but was captured by Acidicus.

After he was forcibly tied up, Jay discovered a map that lead to the bank. With no way to escape his bonds, he hopped his way through the subway to warn the team. He eventually found the ninja, but the train they were on was headed toward them and didn't stop. He had fallen over trying to hop away, but the train was stopped just in time.

After learning Nya and Wu had to save Lloyd, they decided to move back into the apartment Patty originally offered them.

Pirates vs. Ninja[]

Jay and the other ninja began to train Lloyd in their apartment, though they soon realized their conditions were unsuitable for the task. They set out into the city to search for a better place and soon came upon Grand Sensei Dareth's Mojo Dojo. There, the ninja were each able to give Lloyd lessons as Jay instructed him how to be light on his feet.

Following their first session training Lloyd in the dojo, the ninja exited to realize that the city was under attack by Captain Soto's pirates. The ninja quickly boarded a bus and raced towards the boat. After stopping by Wong's Costume to disguise themselves as pirates, Zane and the others boarded the ship and confronted Soto's crew. After a brief fight and with the help of the ninja, the pirates were eventually subdued.

Double Trouble[]

As the ninja are training Lloyd, Jay offered some advice on how he could control his powers. When he failed to do so, Lloyd blamed him for pressuring him too much. Wu tried to cheer him up by telling him to be patient. Nya invited him to the auto body shop and handed Wu a letter claiming that there was going to be a ceremony in the Darkley School of Great Children. They then headed out via the Ultra Dragon.

After Lloyd's reckless flying, they reached Darkley's. Jay and the rest of the ninja met Brad, who showed them to Principal Noble's office. After it was been revealed that it was actually Gene, the ninja were knocked out by sandbags.

Jay vs. Bizarro Jay

Waking up in a room of teachers held captive, Zane suggested they find secret passageways to escape. They did so, only to be greeted by the evil ninja Lord Garmadon created. They fought, but worried the battle may never end due to the fact that they were equally matched.

When the students, dressed in Ninja gi, charged at the evil ninja, they were able to defeat them. After a real ceremony, Jay rode the Ultra Sonic Raider back to the Dojo.

Ninjaball Run[]

When a wrecking ball disturbed Lloyd's training, the ninja asked Dareth what was going on. He explained that he fell behind on his payment and if they can't get $50,000 by the next day, they wouldn't have a place to train the Green ninja. Nya informed them about Ninjaball Run, a race that will grant the winner $100,000.

The next day, Lloyd entered the race with the Ultra Dragon and the Ninja took the Ultra Sonic Raider. Nya tried to tell them about a lever she installed, but due to the loud atmosphere, they didn't hear what it could do.

When the race began, the Raider's wheel had been sabotaged, and they were in last place. They eventually passed some competitors, and couldn't escape Garmadon on the Black Bounty. Lloyd unintentionally saved them, and he decided to help them find a shortcut in Birchwood Forest.

Shortly after entering the Glacier Barrens, the Raider is running out of fuel, and Jay's parents offered them their gas. Afraid of losing their place, they were forced to exchange fuel while driving. Garmadon sent the Serpentine to attack the ninja, and they easily fended them off. However, they crashed, and Jay took a loose part of the jalopy and attached it to the front of the Raider.

At the final stretch of the race, Garmadon used his Mega Weapon to create a chasm too wide for the Raider to drive pass. Kai pulled on the lever to reveal wings. The others jumped on, and they crossed the finish line before Garmadon, thanks to the jalopy's part. They took the Bounty back and celebrated their victory.

Child's Play[]

Jay as a kid

Jay, along with the other ninja were transformed into kids by Lord Garmadon and were chased by the Grundle. He and his friends attempt to defeat the Grundal, but the beast was only defeated when Lloyd used Tomorrow's Tea to undo the effects of the Mega Weapon, reducing the Grundal to a skeleton and aging the Ninja (including Lloyd) back to teenagers once again.

Wrong Place, Wrong Time[]

Ninja disguised as skulkins

Lord Garmadon used the Mega Weapon to go back in time and make it so that Lloyd would never become the Green Ninja. The ninja later find out about his plan and jumped into the portal Garmadon created with his Mega Weapon to stop him. The ninja had gone back in time and fell through a portal. They found themselves in Ignacia - the time Wu had came to Kai's shop and even before Skulkins had attacked the land. They caught old Wu and explained him about the situation. This time, skeletons didn't kidnap Nya, and Kai from the past had no will to become a Ninja. Wu then led him and Nya to the monastery. Jay, Zane, and Cole decided to dress like skeletons and kidnap Nya so past Kai could get a reason to become the Ninja. They succeeded, and Garmadon took Nya to the Fire Temple. Jay, Cole, and Zane took the past golden weapons to destroy the Mega Weapon and Jay, along with other ninjas comes back safely.

The Stone Army[]

After waking up for sunrise exercises, Wu told the Ninja the Ultra Dragon had made a mess that has to be cleaned up. When Lloyd told them they couldn't give him the chores, they played a wound of Rock, Paper, Clamp, with Lloyd losing. Cole told him he needs to be responsible with a Dragon, but the latter informed them that his mother abandoned them. Nya came and told them they were needed at the Museum.

Turned out, the Great Devourer's venom had brought the Stone Warrior merchandise to life. The ninja were tasked with keeping them under control, but then they accidentally wrecked the exhibit up. After finding Wu, the Ninja noticed he was talking with someone, who turned out to be Lloyd's mother, Misako, much to their surprise. He watched as Lloyd walked away from her when she wanted to explain why she had been gone.

After the ninja found Misako and Lloyd at the Bottomless Pit exhibit, Misako told them about the balance of light and darkness and the Overlord. Then, a Giant Stone Warrior approached them, and with Kai not being able to defeat it and Misako saying it was made from an indestructible material, the ninja were forced to run instead. Lloyd told them to distract the Giant Stone Warrior long enough so that he could set up a trap. They did so, but eventually had to run away.

The Day Ninjago Stood Still[]

Jay helped train Lloyd to fight without using his eyes in Dareth's dojo, but they were soon interrupted by a series of earthquakes. They halted their training to tune into the news and learned that the aftershocks were getting worse. Kai immediately blamed Garmadon, though Misako pointed out that the Dark Lord would never do anything to harm his son.

The ninja began to patrol the city for danger and even saved a woman who had been trapped by the collapsing street. The city soon fell under attack by the Stone Army and Master Wu ordered the Ninja to send everyone to the NGTV office tower where they could be evacuated by the Destiny's Bounty. The citizens all climbed to the roof while the ninja held off the Stone Warriors using the Ultra Sonic Raider and the Ultra Dragon. Jay continued to help hold off the Stone Army.

The Last Voyage[]

MoS22Bye

The Ninja leaving for the Dark Island

The ninja sailed to the Dark Island on the flightless Destiny's Bounty. At the docks, Edna asked him if he had any extra underwear, to which an embarrassed Jay says yes. Along the way, they ran into a storm and the ship-eating Starteeth. When the storm passed the ship, which now was missing a rudder and had a hole in the side, the ship ran ashore on an island with a prison tower. When the ninja reached the top, Dr. Julien greeted them and took them in. Later, the ninja sail further toward the Island of Darkness.

Island of Darkness[]

IoD6

The ninja finally arrived on the Island of Darkness, where the Stone Army was preparing for the final battle. The ninja learnt that the Temple of Light was where they were able to receive their elemental powers. In order to do that, the ninja must use a medallion to find the temple. Later Jay was able to find the Temple of Light by aligning three lights with the holes in the medallion — the temple was at the top of the island's highest mountain.

With their new vehicles, the ninja headed for the Temple of Light, barely keeping ahead of the Stone Army. Inside the Temple, they found pictures on the walls depicting their journey from the past until the present. Further in was a great bell, hanging above a strange design on the floor bearing the ninja's symbols. Realizing that it was the Instrument of Peace, Lloyd struck it, which caused a light to shine on him and beams of energy to reflect off crystals in the walls. Soon, the entire room was crisscrossed with beams, and one hit a pillar, making it glow brightly. At the foot of the pillar, Jay's armor transformed, and an Elemental Blade with the power of Lightning appeared in his hand as well as the other ninjas'. As their swords manifested blades representing their respective elements, Lloyd rose into the air. The ninja use their swords to send their elemental powers to Lloyd. The Stone Army finally marched into the Temple, but the ninja were more than ready for them—using their new elemental powers, they easily trounced the warriors. Jay electrocuted a whole line of enemies with a single touch, Lloyd summoned the power of the Golden Dragon, creating a brilliant light that frightened the remaining stone soldiers into retreat.

The Last Hope[]

On the beach

At the beach, Dr. Julien repaired the Falcon, while the Ninja celebrated their restored powers by shooting down coconuts. The party was interrupted by Master Wu, who chastised the Ninja for their unseemly mirth; they may have the power to defeat the Stone Army, but the Celestial Clock was still counting down to the final battle between light and darkness. At that, Misako revealed a way to at least delay the battle: if the Helmet of Shadows was returned to its pedestal, the countdown might be stopped long enough for them to gain an advantage. Risking everything, the ninja disguise themselves as Stone Warriors and escorted Misako to Lord Garmadon's camp. As General Kozu took Misako to his master's tent, the disguised ninja are put to work carrying Dark Matter to the superweapon. The weapon was surrounded by a wooden wall, but the ninja noticed one protruding detail—a very large cannon—and pondered what Garmadon planned to attack with it. Later the ninja were forced to fight their way back down to the entrance as Misako rejoins them.

The ninja made their escape with Misako and Nya in the power drill, but the Stone Army pursued them until the Overlord reminded Lord Garmadon that the ninja could turn the army against him if they didn't possess the Helmet. After a frantic chase that ended in the Power Drill being disabled momentarily, Garmadon went for the kill, only for Lloyd to blast it with his powers. Lord Garmadon emerged from the wreckage, weakened and vulnerable; from the Power Drill, the ninja encouraged Lloyd to finish him off. Despite everything at stake, the Green Ninja was unable to strike the fatal blow, forcing him to jump aboard the Power Drill as the ninja made their escape from the advancing Stone Army.

At the Celestial Clock, the ninja met with Master Wu and desperately searched for the Helmet's pedestal with minutes to spare. As the Stone Army arrived, the ninja find the pedestal and replace the Helmet, but it was one second too late; the countdown had ended and the final battle was upon them. As the clock fired a mighty energy flare inland, the Stone Army captured Nya and the ninja were sent down into a crevasse. Surviving the fall, the ninja headed off to prepare for the final battle, with Jay angered at Nya's capture.

Return of the Overlord[]

Preparing for the battle

Jay and the others intended to start the final battle and attack the Stone Army base, only to realize it was empty. They discover the Garmatron's tracks and followed them. As they ran, all the ninja reflected on all of their past adventures, but the jovial mood was broken when they sensed an evil presence nearby. Suddenly, a crimson Spinjitzu tornado tore into Cole and Lloyd, and halted in front of the group to reveal Nya who had been turned evil by Lord Garmadon, and the ninja buy time for Lloyd, Master Wu, and Misako to stop The Overlord and Garmadon. Later, the ninja had a rough time against Nya, until Zane realized that they could use their elemental powers on the environment instead of their opponent. He used his Elemental Blade to break the chain of Nya's weapon; Jay created an electric barrier to deflect thrown needles; Cole blinded Nya with a cloud of dust; Kai cut down a nearby tree so its leaves surrounded his corrupted sister. Finally, Zane froze the tree, leaving Nya trapped within a dome of ice—wryly commenting that "this club just became boys only," Kai led the others down the Garmatron's trail.

The ninja rushed up to their allies and began to fight the stone army. Meanwhile, the battle continued on the beach and Lloyd was defeated. Fed up with the interference, the Overlord created a portal for his army, declaring that they were about to go to Ninjago City personally to finish the job, leaving the heroes trapped on the Island of Darkness.

Fighting with the Stone Army

Hitching a ride on Kai's Fire Robot, the ninja returned to the Temple of Light, where they activated a hidden mechanism that revealed the Golden Mech. When Lloyd sat in the cockpit, his powers as the Chosen One restored the ancient machine to fighting form. With the Ultra Dragon's arrival to the Island of Darkness, the group was able to return to Ninjago City, only to find it infected with Dark Matter and ruled by the Overlord, now restored to his monstrous true form. Despite their fighting prowess, the heroes were almost overwhelmed by the Stone Army, only to be saved when Dareth donned the Helmet of Shadows and took command of the ancient soldiers.

Jay and the other ninja proceeded to ascend the tower but only to be victim of the Overlord's corruption. Lloyd was forced to limp up to the top of the tower alone, where the Overlord was waiting. In the aftermath of the Overlord's defeat, all of his creations and corruption vanished. Jay reunited with his allies in the crater left by the Garmatron's disappearance.

Rebooted[]

The Surge[]

Following the battle with the Overlord, the ninja were now teachers at Wu's Academy—which has replaced Darkley's School for Bad Boys—training a new generation of Ninja. Later, they were invited by Cyrus Borg for a field trip to Borg Industries' Borg Tower.

As the ninja arrived in the office of Cyrus Borg, the ninja were all very happy to meet him. Cyrus showed them a gift he wanted to give them: an automated statue of himself. It looked like a regular statue, but Cyrus explained to Kai that he should protect "them" with his life and to not inform anyone he had them. Walking into the elevator with their gift, they accidentally dropped the statue, yet they discovered it was hollow and was filled with new suits as well as the Techno Blades. Suddenly a robotic security voice in the elevator announced that they should drop the blades. The ninja refused, and the elevator plummeted toward the ground at dangerously high speed. The ninja luckily escaped into an elevator going up right next to it, and managed to put their new outfits on for battle in their escape from Borg Tower.

Techninjathesurge

When they got down of the tower, Master Wu took the Techno Blades and said that he wanted Jay and Cole on the ground. Then Jay managed to hack a Security Tank with his Techno Blade, making it the Thunder Raider. In the moment they almost got destructed, Lloyd appeared on the Golden Dragon, defeating the robots. As the ninjas jumped back into the vehicles and got on the road outside of the city, the Overlord spotted that Wu was getting away with the Techno Blades. In response, he immediately sent two copters which ended up capturing Master Wu on the building roof. However, before that happened, Wu had quickly dropped Techno Blades into Kai's Fighter so the ninjas could safely get them out of the city, while Wu got captured by Overlord's forces.

The Art of the Silent Fist[]

Jaytechno

After escaping from New Ninjago City, the ninjas decided to hide their vehicles when Misako then greets them and showed them to the Monastery, and Zane offered to stay behind with Techno Blades, as Garmadon (whom was now "Master Garmadon,") forbid any weapons in his monastery. As night fell, Garmadon arrived and taught the ninja and his students about "the art of the silent fist." While everyone inside was practicing the technique, Zane caught P.I.X.A.L. and tied her up, then returned to the Monastery as the ninja come out to see what the commotion is about. Zane then used his Techno Blade to hack P.I.X.A.L.'s systems, freeing her from the Overlord's control. Grateful to Zane for saving her, P.I.X.A.L. informed the ninja of Master Wu. Suddenly, P.I.X.A.L. realized she had not come alone and Nindroids surrounded the place. The ninjas successfully defeat the Nindroids by trapping them into a mill wheel which then roll out. However, General Cryptor had destroyed Ninja's vehicles. After that, the ninjas decided to split. Jay, Zane, Cole, Kai, and Nya form an idea to shut down the power in the city to stop virus controlling machines in the land. As night fell, they arrived to the station, which had a high guard of Nindroids. They managed to sneak inside, but they couldn't find the way to break the power charge. When Cryptor sent Nindroids inside, Kai remembered Garmadon's lesson of fighting without fighting so they decided to lure Nindroids to destroy the charge which then exploded and all the power disappeared, including P.I.X.A.L., who also then shut down.

Blackout[]

MoS29Deserve

The ninja had gone to Ed & Edna's Scrap N Junk to look for parts that would enable Zane's hover-copter to run on solar power. While Ed, Jay, Cole, and Kai search through the junk piles Nya transfered half of Zane's power source to P.I.X.A.L.. The operation was a success and the android was re-activated. However, the moment quickly became sour when P.I.X.A.L. claimed that Nya and Cole were a better couple then Nya and Jay. Jay overheard this as he came in and he attacked Cole.

Unbeknownst to the Ninja, Techno Wu arrived via hover-copter and powers General Cryptor, along with a few Nindroid Warriors, using electrocobrai. After the activated a few Nindroids, Min-Droid snuck in and gains access to control Ed & Edna's crane. The ninja were still trying to break the battle against the two ninja, but were spectacularly failing. The tiny droid used the crane and launched the truck at a garbage pile. Kai realized and quickly informed his friends; the ninja performed Spinjitzu and got out of the fallen vehicle, while Ed and Edna escaped using bubble jet-packs. Then, Cryptor attacked Zane and P.I.X.A.L, but he used his Techno Blade as a shield. Jay and Cole realized that their friendship was in a difficult problem, and decided to help. Just as they ran to Zane, their former master, Wu, trapped the two in a pit. Nya managed to get by the controls of the pit, but she had a new problem to face: there were two wires - one colored black and the other blue, and Nya had to cut one. If she destroyed the wrong one, Jay and Cole would be crushed. Nya decided to cut both of the wires and freed Jay and Cole, and then they assisted Kai. However, Wu trapped the ninja in a corner, but Zane and P.I.X.A.L. appeared with a magnified vehicle and picked up Wu since he was now part metal. The ninja were elated, but the celebration quickly ended when the Stranger releases Wu and flew away with their via hover-copter. However, the Stranger left a scale behind. Nya decided to give Lloyd and Garmadon a message.

The Curse of the Golden Master[]

NinjaPose

The Hover-copter was eventually converted to solar power, the ninja returned to New Ninjago City with Nya and P.I.X.A.L. There, they reunited with Borg and explained their suspicions as to who stole the hard-drive containing the Overlord.

They eventually came across the tomb of the Stone Army, only to find the seal had been opened. Upon confronting Skales, they learned that the Serpentine had reformed and the Snake King even had a son. The ninja and Nya were lead to a campfire, and Acidicus told them of the Curse of the Golden Master, and how they believed it was referring to Lloyd. While the ninja discussed the curse, Nya expressed her confusion that if the Serpentine didn't take the hard-drive - then who was the culprit.

Both questions had to be put on hold though, as Nindroids suddenly attacked the place, and Kai ordered the other ninja and Nya to protect the Serpentine. The ninja discover that the Electrocobrai were their power source. Skales told them that the Curse of the Golden Master is upon them, and says that Skales and his friends would not be able to assist the ninja because they were choosing to stay out of the conflict. The ninja then returned to the surface.

Enter the Digiverse[]

IMG 0807

Golden Jay

In the top of the Borg Tower, Borg prepared the device that would lead the Ninja to the Digiverse - a digital world where they would be able to gain access to the Tower's central computer and fight the Overlord directly. When Jay pointed out that the hard drive was still missing, Borg explained that the device was to "download" the ninja themselves, along with the Techno-Blades, into the computer where the Overlord dwelled. He also explained that that was the only method to succeed, as it would only be a matter of time before the digital Overlord fully drained Lloyd's power. Although apprehensive, the ninjas were "downloaded" successfully, and they woke up in the Digiverse. In no time, they began mastering the advantages of the digital world. The ninjas start their trek down toward the Tower's central computer—ironically below the Tower, where the Overlord had been defeated years before. When the Overlord realized they were close to him, he attempted to immobilize them, but failed due to P.I.X.A.L. electronically interfering from outside. He then turned the digitized New Ninjago City upside down, but the ninja kept moving with their digitized vehicles. Together, they reached the top — that is the bottom — of the tower, and inserted the Techno-Blades . . . only to realize that the Overlord severed the circuit to the motherboard.

The ninja were severely beaten by the Overlord as he consumed more of Lloyd's golden power, proclaiming his becoming a true "golden master" of the real world and the digital world. Strengthened by Lloyd's proclamations that the ninja always had each other's strengths to fight together, they fight off the Overlord's influence, and one by one the ninja turned gold and, using Lloyd's shared power, rerouted the circuit to the motherboard and completely destroyed the Overlord virus from the system, initiating a reboot.

Codename: Arcturus[]

Jay with his Lightning powers back

At Temple of Light, Lloyd relinquished his Golden Power to restore the Ninjas' elemental powers. Meanwhile, at Borg Tower, Master Wu spotted General Cryptor aboard a train heading for Ouroborus. He tried to send Jay and Cole to investigate, but they were fighting over Nya once more at the movie theater. As night fell, Nya, Jay, and Cole walked out of the cinema, and then Jay and Cole asked her did she decide which of them she preferred. She then said that she would pick Joel, a robot created by her that was a mixture of Jay and Cole — a decision that was rendered moot when it freaked out and ran away. When they view the light coming from Borg Tower, they head up to Borg's office where they find Garmadon, Wu, Lloyd, and Zane who explain to them that the Overlord was alive and was holding Kai hostage. They realized how the name Arcturus was actually a clue about the Overlord's new plan, although P.I.X.A.L. was unable to find anything related, since she had every point in time of Ninjago's history in her database. Zane and Garmadon remembered how they and the others had gone back in time and destroyed Garmadon's Mega Weapon — an event that P.I.X.A.L, Lloyd, and everyone else never knew about because the past and present had been altered.

By the time Zane, Cole, Jay, and Lloyd got to Ouroborus, they didn't find anything new around until a huge door below them opened and then they fell into an underground base where they discover a huge rocket called "Arcturus." They realized that the rocket would lead Pythor and his Nindroid minions to space and would then be able to reach the Golden Weapons from the star where the Mega Weapon was destroyed. Lloyd tried to stop him from lifting the rocket but Overborg stops him. With help from a freed Kai, the other ninjas held off the Nindroids with their new elemental powers. Since Pythor had successfully initiated the countdown for the rocket to launch into space, Lloyd decides to lead the ninja into it just in time.

The Void[]

IMG 0823

Jay and Cole wearing spacesuits

Shortly after the rocket entered space, Jay and the other ninja came into contact with Wu, Nya, Garmadon, and P.I.X.A.L. who had returned to Borg Tower and recovered the rocket's blueprints. After Zane secured the other ninjas' spacesuits, Jay and the other ninja made their way toward the cockpit to take command of the vessel. However, before they could reach it, Cryptor dispatched several Nindroids to stop them while he piloted the rocket into the tail of the comet. As the ninja fought with the Nindroids, Jay assumed the identity of Fritz Donnagon and lead the charge, even saving Cole when he fell off the rocket.

When Jay and the other ninja awoke after the landing, they found themselves on the comet not too far from where Arcturus had landed, though to their misfortune, Cryptor had taken the launch key. The ninja discovered lunar rovers in the cargo hold and they set out, all crammed in one to find where the Nindroids had gone. They soon arrived in a large cave where the Golden Weapons had landed, though before they could reach the launch key, the ninja fell under attack by a swarm of alien bugs. The Nindroids used them to their advantage to escape, but Jay and the others pursued, only to have had arrived at the launch site to find Arcturus destroyed by the bugs, thus stranding them on the comet.

The Titanium Ninja[]

Jay Shield

Jay's shield

In space, the ninja despaired after repeated failed attempts to escape. However, Lloyd refused to lose hope, suggesting that they use their elemental powers and everything around them to restart the ship. Heartened by Lloyd's words, the ninja repaired the ship and used Zane as a power source. Though Zane got overheated by the strain, they managed to fly back to the Earth—to land safely, the ninja use a new technique: elemental shields.

P.I.X.A.L. used a motorcycle to catch up with her friends, using her power to land them on their vehicles. As the ninja reunited with their allies, Cyrus advised them that they should head for the Temple of Fortitude, a place where the Overlord and the First Spinjitzu Master had battled long ago. He claimed there was a shield at the place, so the Nindroids wouldn't harm them, and there was something he wanted to give them that may help them save the world.

The ninja began traveling to the temple, but they halted when they spotted the Golden Master's path of destruction. Lloyd then reminded his friends that the only way to save Ninjago was to reach the Temple of Fortitude. But the Overlord detected them and used a massive Spinjitzu tornado against them. The ninja swiftly ran back, rendezvousing with Cyrus, Wu, and Garmadon. There Cyrus gives them the ultimate weapon—a pill. Borg then explained that it was no ordinary pill - it could make anyone shrink. Garmadon and Wu decided to hit the pill straight into the Overlord's mouth. Borg present the ninja armor which protected them against some of the attacks from the Overlord.

The ninja head into Ninjago City when an item hurled at them, but were not affected since they wore the armor. Wu hit the pill, which was directed straight to the Overlord's mouth, but Pythor sacrificed himself and swallowed the pill instead. As a result, Pythor shrunk down to the size of a worm. The Golden Master was outraged that the ninja attempted to shrink him. He obtained the ninja with his Golden Power, only to have missed Zane. The ninja of ice requested his friends to support him one last time, and the ninja bounce him. Although, during the process, he landed and touched the Golden Master's gold. He had refused to let go, admitting the fact that ninja never quit, which then freed his friends. He remembered his past and froze the Overlord which killed him and the Golden Master as well. The ninja are devestated that Zane has passed, and proceeded to his funeral.

Borg made a speech on how he had thought technology was the best way to destroy problems, but instead, costed more. He now named Zane the Titanium Ninja. He later passed the microphone to Kai. Kai announced that no one knew what powered Zane, and he thought it was brotherhood because that's how Zane powered him. When he had finished the speech, snow began to appear.

A Team Divided[]

A few days after Zane's sacrifice, the team went to Chen's Noodle House but were kicked out when Jay and Cole began fighting again.

Not longer after this, Jay went to his parents' junkyard to discover that they were hosting an event called the Junkbot Battle Supreme. Jay built a dinosaur mech called the Ninjasaur but was defeated by a girl named Suzie Wheeler and her robot, Mr. Peepers. After the fight, Jay saw his dad watching an game show called Ninja... Now! and realized he could do well in the show's obstacle course, the Gauntlet of Humility.

At the Gauntlet, Jay's jokes made him an instant crowd-pleaser, but he learned he was being given a more difficult version of the course due to his status as a well-trained ninja. Jay ultimately failed the Gauntlet by falling into the vat of chocolate pudding, splashing the host Fred Finely in the process. This was the last straw for Finely, who decided to quit then and there, opening up the spot for Jay to be the new host of the show.

Tournament of Elements[]

The Invitation[]

DressingRoom

Jay as a television host

Jay hosted his own T.V. show to try to find a new hero for Ninjago. He introduced the player as Cathy, a returning contestant, and asked why she came back after losing the last time she competed. She stated that a ninja never quit and began jumping through obstacles. However, she failed but is proud to have gotten farther than the previous time. After the game is over, Jay headed to his dressing room, where Lloyd surprised him and told him to rejoin the team. Jay declined, due to his hatred against Cole for Nya's feelings towards him and Lloyd disappeared, after telling him to visit him if he changes his mind. He later reunited with Kai, Cole, and Lloyd. Lloyd informed the Ninja of his new plan: hiring a new ninja. The others completely disliked the idea, saying Zane was not replaceable. They quickly were interrupted by Eyezor and his gang.

The ninja went to the back of the shop where they lost sight of Eyezor's gang, but discovered a sketched picture of Zane attached to a shrine with an invitation to a Tournament of Elements. They realized from the invitation that Zane was still alive and to find him they must enter the tournament to do so. With other options, they decided to accept and are walking onto the ship when Garmadon followed and tried to stop them, warning them that Master Chen, who invited them, was a dangerous man. Lloyd retorted by saying that they had to find Zane. Against the better judgment of Clouse, Chen's second-in-command, Garmadon accompanied the Ninja on board, where they met the other Elemental Masters.

The ninja learn from Garmadon that the fighters onboard were descended from the original Elemental Masters.

Only One Can Remain[]

The ninja are guided to their rooms with Jay being amazed by the technology inside. Soon, he took a bath when Bolobo entered his room, trying to find a Jadeblade. The first round of the tournament had begun. The Blue Ninja put on a towel and knocked him to the floor, only to find a Jadeblade in a light. Bolobo snatched it, prompting Jay to turn on Starfarer which distracted the Master of Nature, allowing Jay to whack him with his towel while commenting on his room.

Jay and Lloyd celebrate their victory

The ninja all won a Jadeblade as they watched as Karlof, who lost his fight with Kai, was eliminated from the tournament.

Later at lunch, the ninja conversed about investigating the island before Jay rudely turned away Mr. Pale for attempting to join their table. After this treatment was pointed out to him by Cole, Jay remarked the island is getting to him and told them he'll see them tonight.

Later that night, everyone arrived, but as Jay came by, Skylor exists her room, forcing Kai to push the Master of Lightning off his balcony. After the Orange Ninja returned into her quarters, Kai helped Jay up and into the Master of Fire's room, describing the difficulty of sneaking out. When Cole discovered a hidden room under the Master of Fire’s bed. The ninja entered the tunnels where they noticed two holes peeping into Skylor's room, which Jay observed through first. While watching Skylor train for a few moments, Jay and Kai watched Skylor pull out a flame on her hand, which would mean that she was also a holder of fire, like Kai. After telling Lloyd and Cole, Lloyd points out that, if the current elemental holders are related to the original ancestors, it would've also meant that Skylor and Kai were related.

This was soon brushed aside, as they continued making their way through the tunnel. After traveling further into the tunnel, they came across a squad of cultists who they subdued and stole their clothes.

The Ninja infiltrate Chen's ceremony

Disguising themselves as cultists, they infiltrated the ceremony of the Anacondrai Cultists, as they saw Chen's plan unfold when he absorbed Karlof's element and left him powerless. Startled by this display, the ninja discovered what Chen's plan was, as Cole noted that Chen used Ice, which meant he had already stolen Zane's power. As they discussed this matter amongst themselves, their chocolate tattoo melted and the cultists realized that they were "impostors," Chen signaled his warriors to kidnap the intruders, forcing them to flee. The ninja lost the cultists but were instead trailed by a large Anacondrai serpent. They barely made it out and promised to stay within the rules until Zane was found.

Unknown to the ninja in the hidden room, Clouse held up a piece of cloth from Jay's gi that got caught in the mouth of his serpent, revealing the fact he knew the ninja had spied in the plans of Chen.

Versus[]

Fight

Jay vs. Cole

Despite seeing the truth of the Tournament, he decided to enjoy his next day off, which disgusted Cole and getting them into another argument. Although he stated none of the ninja are competing for the day, Chen immediately announced Kai as one of the competing masters. After the Ninja of Fire defeated Ash, the ninja and Garmadon cheer for him. Later, Clouse arranged for Jay and Cole to fight each other later that evening to which Kai suggested enlisting Neuro for aid. After they succeeded in turning Neuro to their side, they attempted to get him to find a way to stop the fight but this failed. The battle began where neither ninja held back expressing their pent up aggression toward one another until Cole stated he didn't want Jay eliminated and that Chen was their enemy.

Upon hearing this, Jay admitted what had happened between him and Nya was his fault and agreed to fight without using their powers. To this end, Chen decided for both of them to be eliminated. Jay orders Cole to take the Jadeblade as he considered himself lucky to still be in the tournament, but Cole threw it to Jay, telling him to win for him, that he should have let him have Nya and that he should have backed out before being eliminated, renewing their friendship and ending their rivalry.

Jay with other Elemental Masters

Jay watched Skylor fight Jacob Pevsner with Lloyd and Garmadon just before Kai arrived though steps on the fighter's feet in the process. Jay was concerned that the other competitors would gun for them so long as they were a team, though Lloyd claims they were a team, even with Cole and Zane missing.

Jay filled Garmadon in on Kai's crush on Skylor until they found out they might be related. Garmadon explained that Skylor's element wasn't Fire—it was Amber, meaning she could absorb another element, which immediately brought Kai's feelings back. Jacob soon had the advantage using blow darts, though Skylor tricked him into firing into paper, where the sound of the air throws him off long enough for her to break the last vase and take the Jadeblade. After Jacob was eliminated, Chen announced he initially wanted to give everyone jewels for their work in the Tournament, but, due to Jay's fight with Cole yesterday, he rejected the idea and took away everyone's private suites, forcing them to sleep in the chow house. As Jay and Kai berated each other while the other competitors left, Garmadon warned them that if they didn't make friends with the others, they would try to eliminate them by any means necessary.

While the competitors rest, the remaining three ninja discussed a plan, but quickly jumped back to their beds just as Clouse arrived. He ordered Master Chen’s servants to add roller-skates to everyone’s feet, making the contestants curious, while Jay was excited to skate, stating that he's skating champion.

Before the event, the ninja realized Garmadon was right in considering the way they treated their opponents as a majority of the contestants joined Chamille's team in the Thunderblade race, resulting in them being outnumbered. During the race, Jay decided to make an opening by electrocuting Neuro, which worked until Kai bumps into Lloyd.

As the race continued, Chamille was still ahead of Lloyd by one point, Jay then assist Lloyd only to discover it was Chamille in disguise. Jay tried to help Lloyd once Chamille had him ambushed and succeeded in making him drop his Jadeblade. When Mr. Pale then took it, Jay managed to take it back and knocked him off the track. Everyone preformed whatever they could to stop the ninja (with only Kai taking the hits), with Chen even releasing a buggy to extend Chamille's lead.

Lloyd was soon ambushed by Mr. Pale, Shade, and even Neuro, and when Jay attempted to help, Turner accelerated him around the track and into the Green Ninja, though it helped his back. Skylor approaches Kai, explaining that he's convincing and Lloyd will soon be eliminated.

With the score now 8-5, Kai decided to help, despite not keeping balanced, and used his powers to hit Chamille and making her drop her Blade, allowing Jay to take it. Jay approached Kai after he was brushed off by Skylor and informed him of Lloyd's progress, though Kai now realized Garmadon was right about being nicer to the others. He then stated that if everyone knew about Chen's true intentions, they would help: Chamille then retrieves back her Jadeblade.

After Kai decided to reveal the real nature of the Tournament to Skylor: upon mentioning the spell, which caused Mr. Pale to become interested. Jay and Lloyd do the same to Turner, who doubted it but Neuro confirmed it after he stopped Tox from attacking them. Jay was surprised the Master of Mind had chosen that moment to help, to which he explained that he wanted to be on the winning team. Chamille attacked Kai and he lands near the buggy, allowing him and Skylor to take it. They drive up to Lloyd and let him take it, where it transform into his color. While the others keep Shade and Tox from attacking the Green Ninja, Chen decided to go all out on his traps, all of which fail. The score soon became tied and Lloyd tried to convince Chamille to join them, though instead she pulled him out of the buggy, leaving them to go head-on in a sword fight.

Chen became worried about Lloyd winning and orders Clouse to use his Magic, but he was prevented to by Garmadon. The scorekeeper then tried to rig Lloyd's score, but Skylor, having obtained Gravis' Gravity, had him float helplessly. The two racers soon crossed the finish line just as time ran out, with the final score being 13 each. However, Chamille is revealed to have dropped her Jadeblade, making Lloyd the winner.

Skylor then dropped the scorekeeper, jokingly changing Lloyd's score to 106, and Garmadon remarked that his son broke Chen's record. Chen, however, refused to have the event count, claiming Lloyd cheated and was disqualified, though Turner stands up for the Green Ninja and stated that Chen cheated, where the Master claimed what his rules said, went. Mr. Pale, Kai, and Jay protested if Lloyd's out, then so were they, whereas Skylor stated if everyone was eliminated, there was no Tournament. With that along with Clouse confirming it, Chen was then forced to comply and eliminated Chamille.

As everyone cheered for Lloyd, Skylor warned Kai that because of this, Chen would do anything to eliminate the Ninja. Kai then stated that as long as everyone stuck together, there was always hope.

Spy for a Spy[]

FireSuite39

Elemental Masters in Kai's suite

With alliance on their side, the ninja were confident things were going their way until Chen announced to all that he will give the winner his staff which caused the alliance to break up.

Jay was soon pestered by a Kabuki and it was revealed to be Nya in disguise, who was proud that Cole and Jay had renewed their friendship before telling them that a spy was hidden among them which how Chen knew of their alliance. The ninja then have Nya search for the spell Clouse intended to use. Things were looking better; the Ninja received a fortune cookie from Skylor which informed them that Cole and Zane would be breaking out. Relieved that Cole had found their friend, they decided to search for their mysterious spy.

Later, Jay and the rest of the competitors met up in Kai's room to figure out who was the spy amongst their alliance. Jay checked the back of Neuro to prove the lack of a Cultist. When Shade attempted to escape, Jay tried to stop him but was incapacitated by a picture falling on him. He was later helped by Griffin Turner who removed the painting that had fallen on him.

Jay in the jungle

For the next event in the tournament, Jay (his leg now in a cast) and the other fighters boarded a blimp and were taken high above the island. There, he and Griffin Turner argued over who would be eliminated first in the tournament. Before long he and the others were dropped out of the blimp by Chen with the promise of being advanced to the final round if he were to find Nya first. Jay was successful in grabbing one of the parachutes and deployed it. A little time later he landed in a tree on the island. Shortly after arriving, Chen announced through the loudspeakers that he had left items throughout the island to help in the search. Jay muttered to himself he would never trust a treat from Chen, but soon stumbled on a mech. Tired of walking due to his broken leg, Jay decided to take his chances and use the mech.

MoS40ElectroMech

Jay in a mech suit

This decision would eventually prove consequential, as it had a tracker inside and Jay soon encountered Clouse who informed the master of lightning that his time in the tournament had come to an end. Though Jay managed to fight off the sorcerers' initial attacks, Clouse soon created a mech of his own and they squared off. During the mech fight, Nya arrived on the scene and tried to tell Jay what the spell was. However, due to Clouses continued attacks, Jay ordered her to find the others just before Clouse damaged the mech enough to trigger an explosion which Jay nervously laughed at as they were captured in it. Despite this, Jay was shown unharmed but was captured by Clouse thrown in the cage with the other captured elemental masters. Jay then watched as Chen threw a recently captured Kai in the cage before telling his friend that Lloyd would come to save them something an overhearing Chen stated he was hoping for.

The Forgotten Element[]

41Captives

The captive elemental masters brought before Chen.

After his capture, he and the other captured Elemental Masters were put in Vengestone shackles as they were brought before Chen. Despite being led to have his power taken away with the others, Jay decided to rely on positive thinking as he told an irritated Kai that he believed Lloyd would swoop in and save them at the last second. When he stated this belief to Chen, he waited for this to happen but got bored and took the masters' powers, much to Jay's disbelief. He was then taken to the factory with everyone except Kai, who was released on Skylor's wishes.

After being told to get to work, the Master of Lightning soon reunited with his friends Cole and Zane, telling the latter that he looked amazing in his new form. After being informed of the construction of the Roto Jet, Jay broke from his positive belief and questioned the construction of the jet being underground, something Cole agreed with. The Master of Earth then asked him about Kai's current whereabouts, to which he replied the Master of Fire was getting special treatment.

Later, Jay is contributing to the completion of the Roto Jet when Zugu discovers the ruse and Cole begins an assault on the cultists while everyone else pushed the jet. They save Nya and Garmadon from Clouse's serpent and soon burst into the ceremony room, narrowly saving Lloyd and Skylor from the corrupted Kai. The Ninja and the Elemental Masters fend off the cultists until Kai destroys the crystal of the Staff of Elements, effectively restoring everyone's elemental powers and overpower the cultists.

The reunited Ninja about to do Spinjitzu

Reunited, the Ninja use Spinjitzu capturing the remainder of the Cultists, except for Chen, Clouse, and their top men, who captured Skylor. The Elemental Masters seize control of the island, in the midst of celebrating, Jay laughs with the other Masters when Zane plays his humor switch.

The Day of the Dragon[]

GarmadonProud

The Ninja await Chen's move.

Jay had the other fighters sink the ferry so Chen and his forces would have no means of escaping the island. He met up with his friends where they assured Kai they will find Skylor. Jay and the others are told by Griffin Turner that Chen had found a way to complete his spell by using Skylor's powers as the way. The Ninja go off to pursue Chen and save Skylor but Zane gets separated from them much to Jay's worry but the latter tells him to go off without him.

When Chen's army transforms into Anacondrai, Jay and the others battle them but are overwhelmed and forced to retreat. Jay then sees Garmadon transformed into Anacondrai and attempts to attack him only for Lloyd to stop him and explain what happened as Jay lists all the forms Garmadon took and tells Garmadon to pick a body and sticking it with it.

LightningEDragon

Jay summons an Elemental Dragon.

When Chen's army managed to escape, Jay ironically complains about having no way to follow them before seeing that Zane had managed to summon a Titanium Dragon being amazed by it and asking Zane how he did it as the latter told he faced his fear. He soon witnesses Kai and Skylor arrive on an Elemental Fire Dragon, supporting Zane's words. Encouraged by his friends, Jay summons an Elemental Lightning Dragon and he and the others chase after Chen's army on their Dragons.

The Greatest Fear of All[]

Flying back to Ninjago on his Dragon, Jay carries Nya to the city and explains to Kai that mastering the ability to summon a dragon took time. They arrive in Ninjago only to find Chen hasn't attacked before deciding to head for the Samurai X Cave while having their allies watch over the city. Once at the cave, they reunite with Wu and Misako before deducing Chen's next move, and after Jay points, they know so little about the Anacondrai they decide to go to Kryptarium Prison and visit Pythor.

The Ninja visit Pythor

Though Pythor at first refuses to help them, he is persuaded after seeing Garmadon as an Anacondrai. The prison is soon attacked by the Anacondrai Cultists, Jay, Kai, and Cole go off to fight them as the others stay behind with Pythor.

Tooth

Jay fighting a cultist at Kryptarium Prison

As Cole complained about the Cultists having weapons, Jay remarked everything was a weapon in prison which he showed by using a toothbrush against a Cultist. Zane joined the fight as Jay told Wu and the others (who realized Chen's goals) to run after the prison was put on lockdown however, the inmates got loose beginning an all-out brawl. Jay remarked since they already fought most of the prisoners they should leave which his friends agree with. Cole then uses his strength to break through the walls as Jay complains that when people talk about breaking out they do so "quietly" not literally as the prisoners pursue them. The Ninja make it to the courtyard as the Anacondrai Cultists make off with Pythor, Wu forbids Cole from breaking the walls as they couldn't let the prisoners escape. In response, Zane creates an ice trail which the ninja use to escape as Kai uses fire to destroy it preventing the prisoners from following them allowing the Warden and guards to arrest them.

Plans42

The ninja plan to stop Chen's invading forces

The ninja returned to the Samurai X cave where Nya explains that Chen shipped twenty noodle trucks which they speculate can hold several Anacondrai. The ninja contact their allies for aid but to their surprise, the trucks separate which Jay questions on they should be heading for the city. Misako states there were many villages in the directions the trucks went off to as Lloyd makes the decision to have everyone split up to defend the villages. Jay complains at first since they just got back but Garmadon tells him they if they don't act Ninjago will be in danger something Jay realizes and moves out with his friends.

Using his dragon, Jay pursues a noodle truck determined to not allow it to reach a village. After forcing the truck to make a halt in an icy region, Jay subdues the driver by tying him up before he prepares to deal with the Anacondrai. However, upon opening it he discovers it is empty and sadly realizes that Chen deceived them in his goal of separating the elemental masters. Like many others, he lost his dragon out of fear while Chen and his army invaded villages without problems.

The Corridor of Elders[]

Having realized Chen's plan and being stranded, Jay is contacted by Nya of Chen's actions but can't understand it due to the bad reception (caused by Chen taking over the airwaves). He soon decides to take the noodle truck back to the cave after getting a mental message from Lloyd through Neuro.

Jay going to the junkyard for help

Once at the cave, he regroups with his allies where she informs them that Chen has taken over the entire eastern coast. Wu points out that the Corridor of Elders will be the best place to make their final stand, and the elemental masters agree. The Ninja journey all over Ninjago to rally support from the citizens, with Jay going to the junkyard to get his parents and the aid of others.

The Ninja, Elemental Masters, citizens, and Serpentine get to the Corridor and start the ultimate battle against Anacondrai. Pythor escapes Chen's camp riding a rat and carrying Chen's spellbook. He gets to the battle and tells Lloyd to take him to his father because he knows the way to end the battle. Later, Lloyd opens the portal to the cursed realm and unleashes spirits of Arcturus and his troops who quickly curse Chen and his soldiers turning them into ghosts. They all get sucked into the portal, which then explodes after closing off, ending the war.

Shadow of Ronin (non-canon)[]

JaySORInfobox

Jay in Shadow of Ronin

After Cole crashes the D.B. Express, they head towards Chen's palace. After defeating the Anacondrai warriors, the Anacondrai serpent ripped Jay's trousers.

This turns out to be a story told by Kai. Angry, the other ninja reminded Kai of all the inconsistencies. Wu then tells them to go outside to train. However, the students Dareth brought were villains. After they are defeated, a stranger steals the Ninjas' memories with the Obsidian Glaive and escaped.

In order to gain back their memories, Wu informed them about the Obsidian Weapons. They find Hibiki in Kryptarium Prison. He told them about the Inky Lemonberry tea. They went to the Toxic Bogs to get the berries. When the Ninja drank them, they were excited to learn of their respective weapons. Wu told them to get the Obsidian Scythe first, which upset Jay.

After obtaining the other weapons, Jay's Obsidian Nunchucks are last. However, their mission was postponed after Nya informed them of the Nindroid attack in Ninjago.

After that has been dealt with, they encountered Ronin again with a Lightning Elemental Forge. However, Ronin trapped the Ninja (Except Zane and Dareth) and Wu with the Earth Elemental Forge. They were freed, but Ronin left with the forges.

Back in Spinjago, Wu told the team Ronin would need the Primal Fulcrum. Wu decided to try to destroy it, but mentioned it might destroy them in turn. They visited Lloyd, who said he'll take them to Misako.

After locating the Fulcrum, Misako says it's not dangerous to destroy it. However, they were suspended in the air. Wu suspected that Misako was under Ronin's control, and Lloyd frees her. However, the Fulcrum has been activated, and a portal to the Cursed Realm is opened. The Ninja were able to defeat Ronin and the Primal Fulcrum. Kai then points out Jay lost his pants again, revealing that this is another story told by Kai.

In the Steep Wisdom uniform

Jay and the Ninja used their Elemental Dragons to capture a Fangfish that had been terrorizing a local village. Upon returning successful to Wu's new tea shop Steep Wisdom, Jay and the others were sent by their Master into Ninjago City to advertise the new store, yet without using their powers. While they obeyed their master at first, after failing to attract anyone Jay decided to use his elemental powers to project giant teapots on all the nearby electric billboards.

Elsewhere, Morro possessed Lloyd's body, causing the Ninja to lose their elemental abilities. They returned to Wu for answers just as the tea shop fell under attack by the Master of Wind. Jay attempted to use Spinjitzu to fend him off, but in the end, the Ninja were forced to retreat with Wu and Nya in the Destiny's Bounty.

Ghost Story[]

MoS46JayReady

Facing Morro

Morro soon caught up to them using his Elemental Dragon and Jay mounted one of the cannons in an attempt to fend him off. The ghost boarded the ship however and while Wu made an imprint of the staff's secret message, the masters of earth and lightning tried to fend him off. They were defeated with ease however and turned their attention to helping Nya stabilize the ship as it crashed in the Forest of Tranquility.

The Ninja made camp and Wu told them of his past with Morro. The next morning Misako arrived and discovered that the first symbol means Airjitzu, a martial art created by Master Yang. The Ninja mount wallopers and the Blue Ninja followed Kai towards Stiix where Ronin was keeping the scroll.

However, their head start was lost when Kai led them away from Stiix rather than toward it. After Zane pointed this out, Jay and Cole elected to follow Zane instead and they soon came across train tracks leading to Stiix.

After nightfall, they came to a train station and stopped, intending to rest. However, they were soon beset by Wrayth on the Chain Cycle and engulfed in a frenzied battle against the ghost menace. Incidentally, he defeated himself when his chain hooked on a nearby water tower and poured its contents onto himself. The Ninja were left stunned by this, but realizing that a passing train was headed to Stiix, quickly ran after it.

Stiix and Stones[]

Ninja building a dock

The Ninja eventually arrived in Stiix and confronted Ronin in his shop. The thief demanded a high price for the scrolls, but due to Kai's horrible negotiating skills, it was raised even higher. To earn money, the Ninjas were hired to build a dock, and Jay helped lay down the planks. However, a fly damaged the Titanium Ninja's language database and they ended up accidentally destroying the bridge. With Zane unable to speak, Jay took charge and decided that they should simply steal the scrolls.

Through his leadership, the Ninja successfully entered Ronin's shop (though broke a skylight in the process), but were unable to find the scroll before Morro and the Soul Archer secretly arrived (keeping Ronin hostage). The Soul Archer possessed an organ, grabbing hold of Jay with it, but after a bit of chaos the other ninja managed to find a jug of water to release him. The shop was immediately flooded with Ghost Warriors, leaving the ninja unable to defend themselves, up until Ronin showed them the Aeroblades. When Jay received his Aeroblade, it glowed yellow.

After fending off all of the ghosts but Morro, Ronin confronted him, but in the struggle, the hidden scroll was revealed. Ronin quickly grabbed it and flew off in R.E.X., but Morro knocked him down, and he was forced to flee from Morro and the Ninja on foot. After Morro caught up and snatched the scroll, the Ninja gave chase to him but were slowly picked off one by one (Jay first, by falling through a roof). After they met up later, after the chase had ended, Jay admitted that he didn't want to be a leader anymore.

Upon reaching the gates of Cloud Kingdom, Jay and the other ninja were greeted by Fenwick. They were then shown inside the writing hall where the ninja learned that the citizens of Cloud Kingdom were the writers of destiny. Jay noticed that one of the writers was dictating Dareth's destiny but accidentally dropped ink on the parchment causing the Brown Ninja's destiny to be altered.

Fenwick proceeded to inform the ninja that Morro sought the Realm Crystal hidden in the tomb to unleash the Preeminent, before ushering them into a building filled with toys to meet the "master writer." Jay quickly became distracted by a pinball machine, only to shortly discover that they had been locked away with Nimbus, a terrifying creature. With Cole's ghost abilities, the ninja managed to escape and discovered that Fenwick was actually working for Morro.

The ninja soon ran into Nobu who informed them where the Sword of Sanctuary was kept, though they arrived just after Morro claimed the sword. With it in hand, the ghost was able to escape from the Cloud Kingdom, and after an intense chase down the Wailing Alps, the ninja emerged the victor with the sword in possession.

The Crooked Path[]

Back in the Caves of Despair

Jay helped the rest of the ninja to set up traps for the Ghosts in Steep Wisdom. Eventually, the Postman went to give them their mail, but the ninja, mistaking them for a Ghost, soaked him with water balloons. The Postman scolded them and said they're going out of business, but Jay said he's the one going out of business. Cole suggested they don't let Ronin know to keep him from leaving so they could still get his help.

Later, Misako called the ninja to explain to them about the third clue. They were told that the tomb has three tests to keep the Crystal from ending up in the wrong hands. The tomb is in an unknown location, but Misako said the reflection of the sword on the map behind the Scroll of Airjitzu would lead them to it. They eventually found Ronin in possession of the Sword of Sanctuary and tried to stop him, but they fell into their own water traps. After being freed, they tried to go after him, but he wasn't in R.E.X..

Later, they got a message from "Ronin" telling them the tomb is in the Caves of Despair. Because most of the caves were unexplored, they headed out and found the skull symbol at the entrance. They found lanterns and although they thought that was one of the three tests, they continued their journey after realizing they were regular lanterns. When Jay smelled something foul, he asked what it was, to Zane responded with Kethanol. They were forced to run away when Cole caused the Kethanol geyser to make a bigger explosion. Landing on minecarts, the ninja rode throughout the cave, with Jay defeating Ghoultar with his Aeroblade. Before they fell into a pit of lava, R.E.X. came to save them, and then a message from Ronin informed them that he would lend R.E.X. to them to travel underwater, the actual location of the tomb.

Jay seeing his future with Nya

Jay goes with the other Ninja to the Tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master. In his reflection, in the maze he sees himself with an eyepatch and a pirate beard. He also sees Nya in the reflection, indicating that he will end up with her in the future.

After finding the remains of the First Spinjitzu Master, they bow to the latter as Kai picks up the Realm Crystal. Morro then arrives while holding a weaken Lloyd hostage and demands for the crystal. The ninja are at a loss as they want to protect their friend but also stop their enemy before they find that their powers are returning since Lloyd is free of Morro's possession.

Curseworld, Part I[]

MoS53BorgTools

Jay and the other Ninja returned to Steep Wisdom only to discover that Wu had sold his business and used the money to pay Cyrus Borg to build them some new vehicles. The inventor himself appeared and much to the Blue Ninja's dismay, commented that Jay appeared shorter. He was then introduced to his new vehicle—the Ghost Taker GT—and eagerly drove it around as the others discussed the best strategy.

Jay arrived at Stiix on a ferry and disguised as a dock worker, distracted several ghosts for Nya to sneak by. Once the Ninja's presence in the city had been revealed, Jay boarded the Ghost Taker GT and drove around town, capturing ghosts as he went.

Curseworld, Part II[]

With the Preeminent released, Jay expressed his disgust. When Cole used his Ghost Cycle against the Preeminent, it only made her madder, prompting them to fight back harder.

The Ninja, after failing to get closer to the Preeminent, were forced to retreat to the ship. Surprised to see Lloyd come back, they were commanded to break the support beams to drop the Preeminent into the sea. They did, but the Ghosts surrounded her with houses so that she can walk on water. Next, the Ninja went closer to the Preeminent to easily defeat her. However, the Ninja have to go back to the ship to protect the people. They watched Nya destroy the beast with her newfound True Potential.

Skybound[]

Infamous[]

Jay was revealed to have told Zane about what he had seen in his reflection in the Tomb and was told by him to tell Cole. However, he refused since they had finally become friends again.

When Clouse was spotted in Stiix, the ninja went there, disguised, to try and search, only to find no sign of him and while at a bar, discovered someone was framing them for crimes they didn't commit. When Misako was arrested, they had to split up, with Jay being the only one objecting.

Public Enemy Number One[]

Jay walked into a bar and tried to get some ninja chips, but ended up short-circuiting the vending machine and leaving before the bartender could recognize him.

Later, he and Cole investigated Mega Monster Amusement Park, but they were spotted by Ronin, who was hired to arrest them. After a fight on the rollercoaster, Ronin turned it off as Jay was still on it, ending up falling into a sack, laid by Ronin, and is taken to Kryptarium with the other ninja.

Enkrypted[]

MoS57Lloyd4

Jay imprisoned with his friends

The ninja are led by Warden Noble into their cells. Along the way, they met The Mechanic, who wanted Zane for his spare parts. They spent some time in the cell until visiting hours. Dareth told them he sent in a cake with tools they can use to escape, but unfortunately, Cole ate it, along with the tools. When Dareth was unable to further assist the ninja, he left.

During lunch hours, they were visited by Captain Soto. A fight broke out, and Soto told them he trapped Nadakhan using the venom of a Tiger Widow. The guards stopped them before he could tell them the location of the map to Tiger Widow Island. Instead, he promised to let them know if they could free him.

While the ninja were stuck in the hole, Lloyd picked his cuff's lock with a plastic fork and broke the others free. Jay was ordered to disable the security cameras. Once they, and Soto, are freed, they were told the map to Tiger Widow Island is in a lantern located in Misfortune's Keep.

Misfortune Rising[]

In an effort to learn the whereabouts of Nadakhan's pirate ship, Misfortune's Keep, Jay and Nya disguised themselves as police officers and infiltrated the Ninjago City Police Station. During their lunch break, Jay attempted to buy Nya lunch but realized he was broke, forcing her to cover for him. As they ate, she reaffirmed her stance that they were only friends and that was all they would ever be.

While alone, Jay was confronted by Nadakhan who convinced him to wishing he was never born in a junkyard. He was then instantly visited by the Postman who delivered him a letter that informed him that his father had passed away. In shock, Jay flew his elemental dragon to the junkyard, where Ed and Edna revealed that he was adopted.

Jay went to his real father's home, discovering him to be none other than Cliff Gordon, the actor who played Fritz Donnegan and the author of Cliff Gordon's Handbook to Wooing Women. It was there that he was confronted by Nadakhan who encouraged him to make his second wish. Though Jay was adamant about making another wish, he accidentally let slip that he wished to be left alone, prompting Nya to arrive. In an effort to impress her, Jay used the advice of his father's book and convinced her that the house was his secret hideout.

The two then regrouped with the rest of the Ninja at Yang Tavern where they witnessed via the news Misfortune's Keep attack Ninjago City. Deciding it was their duty to protect the innocent, the ninja came out of hiding to defend the city. In order to stay together, Jay paired up with Kai but was quickly separated due to an explosive barrel, causing Kai to be whisked away by Nadakhan.

On a Wish and a Prayer[]

Taking the others to his father's home, Cole immediately confronted Jay on how he acquired the villa as he spent his money on junk food and video games. Jay told him about his encounters with Nadakhan as well as the wishes he made, having him keep it a secret on the grounds that the team won't suffer the same fate as Kai.

After everyone else pinpointed the location of Tiger Widow Island, Jay chartered his father's yacht so as to sail to the island. Along the way, he read his father's guide again to act sensitively to Nya. The team soon got caught in a lightning storm and Jay had to act as a lightning rod.

The team was soon shipwrecked on Tiger Widow Island and discovered Zane had been captured by Nadakhan. Cole, angered by this, outed Jay for making his wishes and forcing him to reveal what he saw in the tomb. Nya then nominated him to get the Tiger Widow venom. All the while, Jay suffered from their antics.

Jay did so, using the guide to get it. However, the Sky Pirates attacked and Nadakhan captured him, leaving the others stranded on the island.

My Dinner With Nadakhan[]

On Misfortune's Keep, Jay, chained to a Vengestone ball, mopped the deck while Nadakhan threw water all over the deck to annoy Jay. But he still refused to wish his third wish. Angered, Nadakhan ordered him to sweep the bottom of the ship while in midair. Jay was thinking of writing a message to his friends. He faked a back injury so that Clancee could get Nadakhan and wrote the letter on the back of some blueprints, then pretended he was going to escape while being chased by Nadakhan and Nadakhan's Crew. After he successfully sent it, Nadakhan forced him to play Scrap-N-Tap, a game where Jay had to defeat Nadakhan's Crew, leaving him injured by the Sky Pirates, Clancee offering him an eyepatch which he puts over swollen his left eye.

That night, Flintlocke escorted him to the main cabin to dine with Nadakhan on the Djinn's request. Nadakhan talked about Nya and said when he married Nya he will have infinite wishes. Jay tried to stop Nadakhan but failed. Jay talked to Flintlocke to go against him saying that Nadakhan will get infinite wishes but Flintlocke did not believe Jay. Ronin and Police Commissioner discovered Jay's letter and The Ninja, Ronin, and Police Commissioner headed off to save him.

Wishmasters[]

Working nonstop on cleaning the Misfortune's Keep, Jay is left drained of all his energy and unable to even stand up. When the Ninja began their assault, Cole found him in Nadakhan's quarters and they made up. Lloyd and Nya were soon captured by the Sky Pirates and Jay and Cole were locked up with the former. They were soon meant to walk the plank until, Cole, Lloyd, and Nya began using their wishes to battle the Sky Pirates despite Jay's constant objections to nobody listening to his. Lloyd soon discovered that Jay's last wish would be what saved everyone and helped him and Nya escape while he and Cole were sucked into the Djinn Blade by Clancee on Nadakhan's orders. Unable to summon his dragon, Nya grabbed him and they were soon able to create an elemental hybrid and escape.

The Last Resort[]

After both Cole and Lloyd were trapped and captured in Nadakhan's Djinn Blade, Nya and Jay were put under protection from the Ninjago City Police Department and sent away to the old lab of Zane's father, Dr. Julien. There, they met Echo Zane and Nya confronted Jay about his feelings toward her. After Nadakhan had discovered where they were hiding, Jay helped Nya and Echo Zane to booby-trap the lab in preparation for his arrival. When the Sky Pirates attacked, Jay got into a fist to fistfight with Doubloon on top of the roof, while Nya fought Dogshank inside the tower.

Operation Land Ho![]

After Nya sacrificed herself by pushing Jay through the portal opened up by the Traveler's Tea, he lands back in his parents' junkyard, exhausted and injured. After he woke up, he told his parents about everything that's been happening lately with the Sky Pirates, while eating some chicken soup. Jay explains how he believes himself to be in for it against the Sky Pirates and doesn't believe he can stop them and save the Ninja and Nya. In response to this, his dad gets angry with him, explaining that the world's in danger and all he's doing is sitting around sipping chicken soup, laughing it off and tells Jay to scrap together some friends for help. After this, Jay sets off on his journey to stop Nadakhan, waving to his parents and flying off on his dragon.

He then goes off to find various allies, including Ronin, Skylor, Echo Zane, Captain Soto, and Dareth. Once the team has been assembled, Jay briefs them on the whole situation and they begin to detect two nearby Sky Pirates on the roof opposite them. When they're seen, Jay pretends to speak gibberish, while Echo Zane, tries to pinpoint their exact location. After their location is found out, Jay and the others chase after them in the skies of Ninjago.

The Way Back[]

With Nya dying in his arms, the heartbroken Jay uses his last wish to be that Nya had taken his hand and nobody found the teapot that released Nadakhan. The weakened and overhearing Nadakhan grants the wish, and Jay's wish undoes the recent events that occurred since Nadakhan's release.

The Ninja are taken back to the billboard where Nya takes Jay's hand and they kiss, while Clouse is spotted by the Stiix citizens and chased away before he could even release Nadakhan.

Day of the Departed[]

Jay and the Walkers (Day of the Departed)

Having claimed the Ultra Sonic Raider jet, Jay raced with his teammates to get to the Ninjago Museum of History in time to get Day of the Departed lanterns. After viewing the new Hall of Villainy exhibit, Jay parted ways from his teammates to spend the holiday with his parents Ed and Edna. However, their holiday was interrupted when Samukai, returned from the Departed Realm due to the magic of Master Yang and the Yin-Yang Eclipse, attacked the junkyard in order to dispatch Jay using his Departed Blade. Jay was left on the ropes due to a pair of Skulkin holding his parents hostage, but was able to fight and finish off Samukai due to the unexpected intervention of Ronin.

Meeting up with his teammates (minus Cole) Jay learned that they had suffered similar attacks as Wu appears and tells them of Yang's plans of distracting them as Morro appears confirming this. Jay is angered to see Morro and readies for a fight questioning if any other ghosts would appear but Wu tells them Morro is there to help and the latter tells that Yang tricked Cole to open the Rift to Return to Ninjago. Jay questioned how Cole got tricked but Zane points he was there as the Ninja realized to their horror that they had forgotten about Cole due to the latter's increased rate of fading. With this news, the Ninja swiftly headed off to find Cole while Morro returned to the Departed Realm.

The Ninja flew the Destiny Bounty to Temple of Airjitzu to find Cole as he fought to prevent Yang's escape through the Rift of Return, but were unable to reach him due to the wind generated by this event. Fortunately, their arrival gave Cole the strength to overcome his doubts and allow him to defeat Yang, who was then left in a state of bemoaning. Jay was confused when Cole started to talk to Yang before encouraging the latter to head through the rift. After Yang was redeemed by Cole's words of encouragement, he allowed Cole to make his way through the rift just before it closed as the Ninja were caught in its shockwave.

They have a hard landing near the Temple of Airjitzu, before wondering if Cole made it in time. Fearing the worst, Jay stated he'd give anything to have him back just as an overhearing Cole asks about this before emerging from behind a rock human once more. The Ninja celebrate their friends return and their families and make the Temple of Airjitzu, now cleansed of evil magic, their new base though Jay had expressed fears about it continuing to be haunted.

Later that night, the ninja with their families and friends gathered at the temple and listen to Cole's story. Jay was annoyed with Cole telling the same story asking if he was going to do that every time the holiday came as Cole states he'll stop if Jay admits his fear as he reluctantly does so stating there are no more ghosts which Cole "confirms." (Cole looks to a window and winks at Yang, who winks back.) Those gathered then released the lanterns in celebration of those who had gone before them.

The Hands of Time[]

The Hands of Time[]

Jay and the Ninja are helping Dr. Saunders clean up the museum. Cole finds a painting of the battle with Wu, and Garmadon fighting the Time Twins and tells Lloyd to check out his father. He notes that they are Ninjago's two greatest Elemental Masters, and wonders if he'll ever live up to their legacy. Zane tells them that the painting dates back about 40 years ago, during the Serpentine Wars and Lloyd asks Dr. Saunders what it is. He says that it has no historical significance, and he tells them that "in legend" the Time Twins could manipulate Time.

During Wu's battle with Acronix, a Time Blade falls from the sky causing a temporal anomaly which causes time to skip an entire minute. Lloyd and the others are walking out of the Museum when the Time Blade causes them to be displaced in Destiny's Bounty. Zane finds out that there was an energy displacement caused by temporal energy. They also find out that the displacement came from Wu'</nowiki>s old monastery and Lloyd suggests that they check it out. Lloyd then remembers that Wu went there—so they go there.

When they arrive, they see Acronix alone. Jay goes to fight him, and Zane tells them that it's Acronix from the painting. Lloyd points out that he should be older because the painting took place 40 years ago. The other Ninja go to help Jay and Kai accidentally sets the monastery on fire again. Ordered by Lloyd to fight, Jay, Cole, and Kai help him battle Acronix while Zane and Nya put out the flames.

Jay and the Ninja push Acronix back with their powers so that he apparently falls off the edge, but he actually just uses the Time Blade to move forward in time and escape.

Thinking they defeated him, they find Master Wu (who was hanging on a tree branch) and help him back up.

The Hatching[]

The ninja asked Wu about their fight with Acronix. Afterward, they left him so he could rest. They discussed the painting they saw at the museum and how it related to Wu's flashback.

After a while, the ninja watched a news channel reporting a Vermillion Warrior wreaking havoc at the BorgStore. They decided to attack it one-on-one, but failed, noticing the Warrior could regenerate. Coming to the conclusion that the Vermillion might try to kidnap Cyrus, the ninja attempted to help him. However, they found Zane unconscious and Cyrus Borg missing.

A Time of Traitors[]

After failing to figure out what the Vermillion helmet does, they went to see Wu for answers. He was unable to answer, however, so Cole, Jay, and Nya went to reboot Zane in the Samurai X Cave while Lloyd stays with Wu and Kai goes to the museum.

They discovered a video feed and slowed it down to reveal Zane being hit by something. After slowing down the video more, they discovered Acronix and Dr. Saunders working together. They rushed to the museum to stop Kai, but Jay and Cole stayed behind to battle with the Vermillion Warriors. However, the Army left, leaving them wondering where they went.

They went back to the Cave and found Zane rebooting.

Scavengers[]

As Jay trains with Cole, they wonder why the Time Twins would kidnap Ninjago's citizens. They told Kai that they could fight the Vermillion, but Lloyd told them until Wu heals, he would be their substitute Master. However, when Lloyd suggests they make a plan, they reluctantly agreed.

When Ronin and Dareth came to tell them the Vermillion are stealing metal, the Ninja left.

After a brief fight, the power went out and the Ninja met Lloyd at the power source. They created a magnet to attract the snakes' armor, rendering them vulnerable. The power went back on, and they heard the Vermillion are attacking at Mega Monster Amusement Park. They left for the park, and Jay headed to the junkyard to defend his parents against the snakes.

A Line in the Sand[]

Upon hearing the Vermillion Warriors were taking metal, Jay headed for his parents' scrapyard since it had a lot of metal. After managing to shock most of them, he discovered out that his ninja team was in trouble and his mother ended up kidnapped. With his ride scrapped by the Warriors, Ed gave him an early birthday present, a regular motorbike, but it fell apart, Jay modified it, making it the Desert Lightning. They then proceeded to use lightning speed to defeat the Vermillion Warriors and to bypass the effects of the Slow-Mo Time Blade and rescue his mother. Then, he got jolted out of the desert, quickly telling the others to grab his father as he left with his mother.

The Attack[]

After messing around with the Slow-Mo Time Blade, Jay, Cole, and Zane note how Kai and Nya are acting strangely. He then gets an idea to run at each other and use the Blade to stop them from colliding.

Lloyd told them they were supposed to hide the Blade, but they disrespected him. Wu told them the same thing Lloyd did, but they obeyed him instead.

A moment later, they were attacked by Vermillion. They were easily defeated, but it regenerated into Buffmillion, which Nya and Kai were able to defeat.

When Lloyd went down with his Dragon and was unable to summon it again, the Ninja watched as Samurai X saved him. They tried to find out who the Samurai was but to no avail.

Lloyd and Jay confronted Acronix just as he was about to help his brother fight Kai. They eventually got both the Blades, but it was stolen by Machia when they least expected.

They mourned over their defeat and blamed their overconfidence.

Secrets Discovered[]

Lloyd tells the team that if they can find the location of the Time Blade, they would be able to know the headquarters of the Vermillion Army. Misako then explains Wu was hit with the Time Punch. They left to go to the museum.

Cole accidentally made a hole in the wall with his Earth punch, revealing a secret room. Cole found a door, which leads to a sewer system.

After riding on the Destiny's Shadow, Jay and Cole attacked Skales and Skales Jr. but was stopped by Lloyd. They told them that the Vermillion are strong in numbers, and they are located in a swamp. Skales gave them a map and they drove off.

The Ninja found their way to the swamp and noted how many eggs and armor they have.

Pause and Effect[]

Lloyd explained that Cole and Jay will rescue the workers. They used a grappling hook and found the workers. They decided to rescue them by Airjitzuing their way up to the skylights.

Since Karlof is too heavy to hold, Cole suggested they make a ladder instead. He then asks his father where the armor design came from. Lou answered it came from a blacksmith.

When Jay caused the ladder to collapse, the sound alerted the Vermillion. They were eventually outnumbered, but Zane and Lloyd tried to help them.

Out of the Fire and Into the Boiling Sea[]

When the Ninja are being pursued by the Vermillion, they took cover in an Ice dome made by Zane. When the latter decided to save Borg, Jay and the others went with him. After hiding from the Army, they tried on disguises to sneak into the Dome.

Once they met Cyrus Borg, he explains he was forced to build the apparatus for the Iron Doom, allowing the Time Twins to travel through time. They were told he added a code for self-destruct but had forgotten it. Cyrus told them if he saw the panel, it would probably jog his memory back. They were about to take him, but the Vermillion stopped them. Cyrus was able to convince the Vermillion he just wanted to see if the apparatus is properly installed, but Jay blew their cover. Samurai X came and ran over several Vermillion with the Samurai VXL Cole helped fight back the snakes as Samurai X brings Cyrus to the panel.

As they fought, Zane figured out the password and Machia's ship arrives. Cole tries to fight back the Vermilion, but Acronix froze Zane, Samurai X, and Cyrus. When they were kicked off the platform, the Ninja caught them.

Lost in Time[]

There is nothing the team can do but wait for Kai, Nya, and Wu's return. Jay insists on the Samurai revealing their identity, but they refused. Eventually, they start to notice the city has no technology and that Zane has gone back to his original state.

However, Jay spoke up and said Lloyd will be their new Master. He listened as Lloyd made his decisions of burying the Time Blade and deciding to search for their lost master Wu.

When Ninjago went back to normal, Jay hugged the vigilante and asked if they would share their identity since they won but the latter refused.

When Kai and Nya came back without Wu, they are left without a Master. However, Jay spoke up and said Lloyd will be their new Master. He listened as Lloyd made his decisions of burying the Time Blade and deciding to search for their lost master Wu.

Way of the Departed[]

Sons of Garmadon[]

The Mask of Deception[]

In hopes to find Wu, Cole and Jay went to an ancient temple. When they failed, they argued, causing all the monks to break their vow of silence. They were called back to the team and they left the monks behind.

The Ninja regrouped, and Lloyd showed them the Sons of Garmadon logo and said they stole a mask. Hutchins informed them of the Oni Masks and that the Emperor of Ninjago will have a speech. The Ninja agreed to defend the mask during his speech.

During the speech, firecrackers went off, causing the audience to panic. The Royal Family is grateful they tried to save them and they were invited inside the palace.

The Royal Family informed the Ninja as long as they have the Oni Mask, their lives are in danger. The Ninja accepted the challenge to keep them safe and were given a tour with Hutchins.

When Hutchins showed them the Oni Mask of Deception, the Ninja agreed to protect it. Jay, Cole, and Zane kept an eye on the buffet table.

The Jade Princess[]

While training, the Ninja gave Lloyd some advice on how to attract Harumi, but Lloyd agreed with Nya to just be himself.

When the palace exploded, the Ninja fought the Sons of Garmadon. Later, Lloyd and Harumi picked them up on the Destiny's Bounty and informed them the Emperor, Empress, and Hutchins didn't survive.

The Oni and the Dragon[]

When the Ninja left to find who the Sons of Garmadon's leader is, they went to Mystake's shop for some Tea of Truth. Jay stayed with Lloyd to listen to Mystake talk about the Oni and Dragons.

When Lloyd and Jay came back from Mystake's shop, they watched Cole karaoke at Laughy's on television. Cole was attacked by the Sons of Garmadon and when Zane didn't help, the Ninja went to help him. While they were chasing Mr. E, Lloyd realized Zane was trying to gain their trust.

Snake Jaguar[]

Jay tells Lloyd Zane was last seen at Central Station. When Lloyd was unable to find him or Cole, Jay and Kai checked the other stations.

Dead Man's Squall[]

After the Ninja found Zane shut off at the bottom of a cliff, they took him back to the Bounty. They then decided to leave Ninjago since the baby is the key to the Mask of Hatred.

When P.I.X.A.L. then informed the Ninja Mr. E told the Quiet One "The trap has been set." She told the Ninja she's trying to find the location of the Quiet One, but Cole showed them the baby's blanket with the map to the third Oni Mask on it.

When P.I.X.A.L., controlled by the Quiet One, shot one of the thrusters, the Ninja fought her. Just when she went back to normal, her destroyed another, causing the Bounty to fall. Nya was able to control the rain to slow down their fall, but the Bounty was damaged.

The Quiet One[]

As they tried to fix the Bounty, the baby, who had a growth spurt, hands him a pair of pliers, surprising him and the others. Proclaiming he is quitting, Jay watches as the baby soon said their motto: "Ninja never quit". Shocked, Jay announces to his friends (who also realize) that the baby is really a regressed Master Wu.

The Ninja soon tell Nya the things the baby did and how they discovered he is Wu, she doesn't believe that he is actually Wu. However, she soon does believe after she hears the baby talk and drink tea like her master does.

The Ninja watched Wu go for more tea, which Jay refills for him. Afterwards, questions are raised by how Wu reverted to a toddler; Nya deduced it was because he touched the Reversal Blade before he was lost in time. Zane states if Nya's theory is correct, the blades' effects have worn off and now Wu will keep aging until he returns to normal, eventually. Jay wondered how long it would take as P.I.X.A.L told him time will tell.

The Ninja later discover Harumi is the Quiet One as the Sons of Garmadon attacked and surrounded them.

Game of Masks[]

While unable to warn Lloyd of Harumi's true intentions, Jay and the others are tied up and captured by the Sons of Garmadon on the Bounty. Killow and Mr. E pilot the ship towards Harumi's location, in an effort to quickly pick her up.

Once there, the Ninja manage to escape bondage with help from Baby Wu, and they stop the Sons of Garmadon in their tracks as they try to leave with Harumi and the Mask of Hatred. As Jay realizes how outnumbered they are, Lloyd suddenly shoots out of the waterfall hiding the Oni Temple, and the Green Ninja is caught in his brothers' arms. As the standoff gets heated, the giant sea-crab from Lloyd and Harumi's earlier journey returns, attacking both the ninja and the S.O.G. Jay and the rest of the ninja manage to take down the monster, but Harumi and the rest of the Sons of Garmadon manage to use the opportunity to sneak away with all three masks. Zane and Nya help Lloyd chase after the stolen Bounty, but he's quickly captured by Killow. Jay and the others stand on the ground helpless, watching the Sons of Garmadon escape with the masks and Lloyd, and the sea crab breaks free, ready to attack the Ninja again.

Dread on Arrival[]

They ride the Sea Creature back to Ninjago after taming it and head to the police station. When denied entry into the Commissioner's office, Jay threatened the officer with zapping, doing so before they enter. When the Commissioner refers a pirate genie, Jay and Nya smile at each other as only they remember the events. The Commissioner agrees to have his entire force helping the Ninja.

MoS82 Killow

Jay electrocutes Killow.

During Harumi's ritual, the remaining Ninja (excluding Lloyd, since he was captured) fought their way in and managed to free Lloyd and Misako.

As the ritual reaches its conclusion and the roof of the temple reshapes itself, the Ninja make an attempt to fight back using Spinjitzu. Killow attempted to stop Jay, but is electrocuted into unconsciousness by him.

The Ninja manage to stop the portal from opening; this creates a shockwave that knocks out Harumi and the Sons of Garmadon. The Commissioner and his forces storm the area to arrest the villains with a screaming Harumi being arrested by Simon and Tommy. Jay and Cole assist some officers in the arrest of a weakened Killow when he tries to escape. Jay and the others celebrate outside the palace, waving at the cheering police officers while Lloyd watches Harumi get taken away.

True Potential[]

Not knowing that the resurrection was actually a success, Jay and the others, along with baby Wu, dance while singing "The Weekend Whip" in celebration of what they think is a victory over the Sons of Garmadon for good. Lloyd is unsure about their victory, and stops the celebration right before learning on the news that Harumi escaped the police, with the help of a man who the ninja easily identify as Garmadon.

The ninja hurry to the police station to figure out what happened, and help clean up the damage as well as the injured officers. The Commissioner apologizes for losing Harumi, and explains what happened with Garmadon breaking in before telling he was not the same man he once knew.

Jay and the others eventually return to the Bounty, where they try to figure out a plan after finding out that Garmadon and Harumi have taken over Kryptarium Prison and are using it as a temporary headquarters. Lloyd wants to face his father alone, and hopefully save him again like he did last time. Jay and the others quickly deny such a mission, yet Lloyd tricks them and locks them in the Bounty long enough for his Ninja Nightcrawler to show up so he can drive to Kryptarium. Cole manages to get himself and the rest of the ninja out with his Earth Punch, but it's too late, as Lloyd has already driven away.

Jay and the others hack into Lloyd's car to try and warn him of the dangers of going alone, but he ignores them and continues driving. From then on, the team is forced to watch on TV as Garmadon brutally beats up his son, leaving the Green Ninja weak and nearly dead on the ground.

Big Trouble, Little Ninjago[]

After Lloyd's loss in his battle with Garmadon, Jay and the rest of the team picked Lloyd up and brought him to Mystake's tea shop in Ninjago City, thanks to little Wu's directions. There, a weak and dying Lloyd was laid on a table, and Mystake told the Ninja that they would have to use their Elemental Powers along with her tea to save Lloyd. There was a catch—it may take all of the power they have left.

Jay is one of the Ninja who gives almost no second thought to saving Lloyd, putting his hand on Lloyd and concentrating his power. Lloyd is healed, and the Ninja still have their powers. Before they could leave, Mistake gives Jay a paper bag, telling him "tea to go," emphasizing the "to go." Jay discards it as being just another weird thing that the lady says, but takes the bag just in case. From then on, he leaves with Kai, Zane, Cole, and P.I.X.A.L. to try and stop Garmadon's Colossus.

During the fight, Jay manages to use the electric power lines on the street to electrocute the Colossus, but it only stunned it for a moment. After realizing that they're powers did almost nothing against it, the ninja escaped to find the Bounty while P.I.X.A.L. held the Colossus off.

Once on the Bounty, Jay and the others flew in to save Lloyd and Baby Wu as they were escaping from Harumi. Harumi managed to grab Lloyd's leg as he made a jump towards the Bounty, but the other Ninja managed to catch Wu in their arms.

After coming to a tight spot, Zane had to circle around again to try and get Lloyd, but the ship was grabbed by the Colossus. As the Colossus began crushing the Bounty, Jay and the others panicked, until Wu pointed out that they "have to go." Jay was reminded of the tea bag, and he quickly opened it up, allowing the contents of the tea to transport the ninja and Wu far away, just before the Bounty was crushed. This led everyone in Ninjago to believe that they had died, not noticing the Traveler's Tea.

MoSEp84NinjaInFirstRealm

The Ninja in the first realm.

At the end of the episode, the Ninja and Wu wake up in a wasteland, their uniforms torn, and Jay asks, "Where are we?" Looking up at the dragons flying overhead, Kai confirms to the team that they've been marooned in the Realm of Oni and Dragons.

Hunted[]

Firstbourne[]

MoSE8TheFaceOfInsanity

Marooned, Jay temporarily loses his sanity.

Marooned in the Realm of Oni and Dragons, the Ninja spend a full week in the realm trying to gather supplies. Unlike usual times, Jay does not freak out and instead remains calm by "accepting the circumstances" in an unsettling way. When Kai brings this up to him, Jay simply states he sees no reason to get worked up, and instead, accept the situation. Jay is amused when Cole tries to teach the lessons Wu taught them to the now child Wu.

As Kai and Zane listen on the makeshift radio, the two see that Jay has lost his grip on reality as he plays on his homemade game, which is really a plank of wood. Zane soon tells them he has gotten a transmission and Jay listens in as they believe it's from Ninjago. However, the people on the other side state they are preparing something and Zane translates some phrases to Jay and Kai that they are talking about an ambush. Hearing this, Kai realizes they are talking about them and tells the others to run away.

As the trio run, Jay continues to play his game before figures in the fog and quickly grab each of the Ninja in chains and drag them off with Jay losing his "game" in the process.

Held captive, Jay and his friends are brought blindfolded into a settlement known as Dead's End by their captors, the Dragon Hunters. Jay wonders aloud if they are playing hide and seek (blindfolded) as they are escorted inside the throne room before they halt in their footsteps. He hears Kai struggle against one of the Hunters holding them, to no avail, before all three are pushed to their knees, with Zane warning them to not provoke them. The Hunters then remove their blindfolds for them to meet Iron Baron, who taunts them in their predicament before laughing with his Hunters.

Iron & Stone[]

When they were questioned over who else was with them, Zane tries to deny, but Jet Jack shows them one of Wu's diapers. They try to pass them off as being Jay's as he tried to lie, saying he has a weak bladder, but they don't believe them.

The captured Ninja are taken into the Pits which Jay notes is an arena where they will be attacked by something. Kai and Zane note Jay is still not in his right mind and is useless in their plight. This fact is highlighted when Jay shares a laugh with a hunter named Chew Toy and rings a bell the latter gave them as they fight a Dragon called Slab.

Screenshotter--862-11’40”

Jay, still not in his right frame of mind, trying to distract Slab

A disguised Cole and Wu use a lever to put a chain for them to trap the Dragon. As Jay celebrates the victory by ringing the bell, Slabs prepares to attack him as Kai alerts the oblivious Jay. Briefly shifting back to normal, Jay panics as the Dragon moves to attack but Zane freezes it, exposing their Elemental Power to all. Iron Baron realizes his mistake of thinking they were Oni and orders his followers to hunt them as Kai tells his friends to prepare for a brawl. Jay goes back to ringing the bell as the Hunters surround them.

Radio Free Ninjago[]

Jay, Zane, and Kai are cornered by the Dragon Hunters and have no choice but to use their Elemental Power. When Kai asks Jay if he's alright, Jay lists all of the events that have recently befallen him and has a mental breakdown; this display causes Zane to note he is back to normal and Kai is relieved.

JayBreakdown(3)

Jay finally has a breakdown about their current situation

They use their Elemental Power to fend of the Hunters when Heavy Metal jumps down with the Dragonbone Blade. They try to use their power on him, but as Zane points out, the blade attracts their Elemental Power. Now unable to use their power, they are chained up by Heavy Metal and put in the back of the Dieselnaut.

Held in place by the Hunters with Vengestone, Iron Baron approaches them and admits his surprise at them not being Oni, but trained in the ways of the First Spinjitzu Master. Jay was shocked by Baron's familiarity with him as the labels calling the Spinjitzu Master a coward who ran away to "Ninjango," to which Jay has to correct him on his mispronunciation by stating it's "Ninjago." After Kai asks if he knows how to get them back, Baron responds no but states he had no interest in helping them any way. He then declares they are hunting Dragons and hopes that the catch he makes will be good.

He then turns on the machine and it releases strange energy that triggers an elemental reaction and the Ninja are subjected to a device that draws out their Elemental Power. Jay realizes that the Hunters are using them as bait since their powers attract the Dragons while also noting it tickles

Soon after, a Wind Dragon is attracted to the Ninja. Meanwhile, Cole and Wu (who are disguised as Hunters) "accidentally" knock the other Ninja off the stand. They try to rescue them, but the Ninja are immediately put back into the back of the Dieselnaut by Daddy No Legs.

Now in the back of the vehicle, they are forced to sit back and watch as the Hunters reel in and eventually capture the Wind Dragon.

Cole promises to figure a way out of this situation for them, and the Dragons.

How to Build a Dragon[]

Screenshotter--881-0’55”

Jay's flashback

As he and his friends are caged by the hunters, Jay recalls of his first meeting Wu and recalls trying to fly with makeshift wings. Jay then hears Lloyd's voice on the hunter's radio and tells Kai and Zane who questioned if he has lost it again but after he explains they see he is still sane.

As the Ninja are forced to work, they wonder on what to do as Jay suggests building a Dragon and Wu remarks he has lost it again but he tells them of his plan to trick Baron into thinking Firstbourne was attacking so they and the Dragons can escape, remembering Wu's words from the first time they met: To build the impossible. The Ninja accept his plan and get to work by secretly gathering supplies, with Jay almost grabbing one of Daddy No Legs' mechanical legs.

The Gilded Path[]

Jay's armed and ready

The morning after their escape, they realized Wu had aged into a teenager overnight. Before they encountered Heavy Metal, who overheard their conversation and demanded to know if what they had said was true and Wu admitted he was the Son of the First Spinjitzu Master. Heavy soon revealed themselves to be a woman named Faith, who was forced to go under the name Heavy Metal by Iron Baron. Since they only had one vehicle, the ninja had no choice but to drag it with a chain as Jay remarked it reminds him of the first time he met Kai and pushed Wu's horse carriage while Faith told them about the Dragon Armor. They soon encountered Daddy No Legs and Muzzle before Faith had them chain themselves so she could take credit. But it almost backfired when the two Hunters see Wu as a teenager before Kai pulled the chain they were standing on. Once they were tied up, they took the Hunters' vehicles and headed for the armor.

Two Lies, One Truth[]

Kai and Jay fight over the last of the water.

Jay took a sip of water from the ninja's canteen, quenching his thirst. Kai complains that he is also thirsty and accused Jay of drinking all of his water. He grabs the canteen from Jay. Jay defended himself, stating that the canteen actually belong to him. Jay also mentioned that Zane had a little bit of water. Kai dismissed Zane's need for water and accused Jay of being selfish and hogging all the water for himself. Faith interrupted by pulling out the Dragonbone Blade, using it to cut a cactus in half, revealing water inside. Jay thanked Faith but reminded Kai that they were supposed to share the water.

Later on, while being chased by the Dragon Hunters, Jay, while making an escape with the rest of the team on Destiny's Wings, notices Arkade spinning the slots on his chest, only to find it was for a grappling hook now locked on to his vehicle. Then, after Zane stated they needed to reverse, Jay began to worry, but it worked anyway, to which Jay celebrates, and challenges Kai. At night, Faith expressed her worries about the path they were taking as they approached Oni land. In response, Jay stressed that going back would result in their demise. Faith then informed Jay about Iron Baron, the sole survivor of a Dragon Hunter mission to steal the Dragon Blade at Oni land. Despite Wu's uncertainty about the location of the Dragon Armor, Jay and the rest of the group decided to follow Faith to Oni land.

Jay was concerned about identifying the Oni, questioning how they can be recognized since they have the ability to change their appearance. He further raised the possibility of an Oni already infiltrating their group, directing his suspicion towards Kai. In response, Kai dismissively told Jay to be quiet. Soon, they noticed the Oni stronghold, which was left open. Once inside the stronghold, they noticed that the Oni were no longer in the realm and started to believe that there was no such thing as the Dragon Armor. Jay recognized the importance of maintaining the principles and teachings that Wu had imparted on them, even if they were unable to return to Ninjago. Wu then directed their focus towards the gate. However, Jay misunderstood and believed that Wu was referring to Faith, noting that Faith had unresolved issues due to being born into a harsh world. Wu clarified that he was actually talking about the gate and proceeded to close it, revealing the map to the Dragon Armor, which was hidden in Firstbourne's nest.

The Weakest Link[]

Jay learns how to use chain

When the ninja woke up, Faith handed them chain guns and they began training by chaining up a rock. When they, and Wu, succeeded, they had Wu ride Stormbringer.

When they stopped to look at their map, they realized the Hunters were following them. They were able to defeat them, but Faith had been captured.

Saving Faith[]

At Wu's pleas, the Ninja go to rescue Faith from the Hunters. She berates them and warns them it was trap but the Dragon Hunters appear and capture them.

Jay is later tied to a stand with Wu and Faith, he shares banter with the others to keep their spirits up. He explains to Wu of why this is important and Wu remarks he is the annoying one, as they share a laugh. He watches as Faith tells the other Hunters that Iron Baron lied to them about the Oni who have been gone from the realm for centuries and tells them that he possibly killed the Hunters to get Dragonbone Blade. After Iron Baron silences any growing rebellion by asking threatening them, Jay calls the Baron out on his gutless move of using fear as an annoyed Baron hushes his prisoners by turning on the elemental device.

However, the torture mechanism causes Wu to regain all of his memories and slightly aged further into an older teenager. Jay watches as Wu breaks free of his bonds and shouts he's back as he begins to fight the Dragon Hunters. He watches as Iron Baron negotiates with Wu who accepts the offer of leading him to the armor to return to Ninjago. Jay, Faith, and the Ninja tell him not to help Baron but he tells them to believe in him.

Captured and tied up again

Jay is left to watch as Wu and Iron Baron leave in search of the armor.

Lessons for a Master[]

Jay and the others were still stuck on the wooden stakes. Above them, two vulture-like birds fly above them, after Zane remarks, they are a group of avian scavengers, that will pick them apart upon their demise and Faith confirms this, Jay freaks out.

They notice that the other Hunters are arguing down below. While they're distracted, they try to rock their bodies side to side in order to knock the stakes over.

The rocking seems to be working, and they cheer. As they do, Jet Jack asks them what they're doing, and she cuts them down. Jay was skeptical of their intentions and was shocked when Kai told them to eat Cole first.

However, Jet Jack tells them that the Hunters no longer want to follow Iron Baron because he only wants to have the Armor for himself. They want the Ninja to help them find Iron Baron and Wu and stop them from getting the Armor.

They arrive at a bridge that leads to the armor and find out that it's too late, as the bridge has fallen.

MoSEp93MasterAndStudentsReunite

Jay and the others congratulate Wu on claiming the Dragon Armor.

Jay and the others return from the bridge to give the bad news to the other Hunters, and just then, Wu bursts through the mountain riding the Firstbourne without chains, and wearing his father's Dragon Armor. The Ninja cheer as he lands, and they hug him. He tells them that Iron Baron has been defeated, and the Hunters cheer. The Ninja remember that they have unfinished business in Ninjago, and Zane asks Wu if the Firstbourne can give them all a ride. Wu says it's up to her, and she roars, which causes four Dragons (each of the Ninjas' elements) to come out of the mountain and in front of them. Jay gets on Stormbringer and is amazed by its appearance.

The ninja mount their Dragons, and they take off, following behind Wu. In the air, the Dragons' spin like the Jay and the other original ninja's dragons did and a portal to Ninjago opens. They fly through the wormhole, and speed off into the distance, finally heading home.

Green Destiny[]

Jay and the Ninja return to Ninjago through a vortex in the sky. They notice that the city has been totally demolished, and they wonder how their friends are. Nya speaks to them through radio and tells them they're okay, but they need some help. Zane locates their transmission and leads the others to them.

They find Lloyd and Nya being cornered by the Sons of Garmadon. Once they were scared away, Jay and the others rest their dragons on the ground and greet the other Ninja with Nya hugging Jay. Lloyd tells them that his power has not returned yet and that Mistaké is no longer with them.

Wu tells the Marooned Ninja to take down the Colossus, and for Lloyd to stop his father. The Ninja mount their Dragons and help the remaining citizens escape. The Ninja confront the Colossus and attempt to chain him up using the tricks they learned from Faith. They realize it's not working, and they are almost out of chain. Kai gets the idea to board the Colossus and use the chains they already shot to bring it down.

While Jay and the others distract it, Kai wraps the already used chains around the Colossus even more, and cause it to topple over. They celebrate, but only momentarily, as the Colossus stands up again. Jay soon asked why the people would live in Ninjago whenever it is attacked before Wu, the rescued citizens, and the rest of the Resistance, who broke out of Kryptarium, return to help them out. The Colossus falls for the last time, and while Garmadon's power fades, the life within the Colossus fades.

Reunited, Jay and Nya hug

Jay joins the Ninja in watching as the Sons of Garmadon are finally arrested, and they find out that Lloyd's power is back, and Garmadon is arrested. Now, the city must rebuild, and the Ninja help clear the Royal Palace, which Jay replied to Kai's proclamation of what tomorrow holds, is a lot of work. As they clean, Wu, now an old man again, tells them there's trouble again and he needs their help, which Jay complains they're still tired. They race out of the Palace only to find the citizens of Ninjago gathered together, to thank the Ninja for what they've done.

The Fold was also there as they soon started singing, and the Ninja celebrate. As they celebrate, Nya rests her head on Jay's shoulder.

March of the Oni[]

The Darkness Comes[]

Jay decides it's time to ask Nya to be his Yang. But is struggling to figure out the best way to ask her. So, he turns to Kai for some advice. However, Dareth barges in, and then Nya, who told them Wu is supervising the murals in the courtyard. Once outside, they see Firstbourne and Faith crash land at the base of the mountain.

They brought Faith inside the monastery to rest, and Wu told the Ninja about Faith's warning: The Bringers of Doom taking over the Realm of Oni and Dragons and that Ninjago is next. The Ninja head to the city to prepare for their arrival.

They see the Police Commissioner and four cops at a dead end and dark smoke surrounding them. They tried to stop it, but were unable to and are forced to retreat.

With no other choice, the Ninja visited Garmadon's cell and asked for help.

Into the Breach[]

Once the Ninja are airborne again, the Ninja discussed if they could trust Garmadon. Meanwhile, he turned the engines off, and the Bounty starts plummeting toward the ground. The Ninja hanged on until Zane got to the emission switch on time.

While Lloyd followed Garmadon to the cabinet, Kai told Jay he should ask Nya to be his Yang as soon as possible. Cole joins in and tells him the same, but Zane told them they were needed on the bridge. Garmadon then proceeds to tell the Ninja about how the Oni were able to enter Ninjago. They used the Realm Crystal and he would be able to go inside the dark cloud to destroy it due to being part Oni, but he would need a weapon. Lloyd then argues that they can't just let him have a weapon then let him walk away unsupervised. Since Lloyd is part Oni as well, he claimed would also survive the darkness and decided to go with him.

While Nya piloted the Bounty, Jay approaches her and tries to ask her to be his Yang. However, seeing Garmadon made him lose his confidence so he decided to tell her later.

When they arrived at Borg Tower, the Ninja handed Garmadon a sword, but he started attacking them to activate his powers. He jumped off, and Lloyd followed. After watching Lloyd on his head cam, they heard distress calls and tried to find the source. They flew off, while P.I.X.A.L. decided to stay behind in case the two needed assistance.

While trying to find the source, the Ninja watched as Lloyd and Garmadon approaches the Crystal. When The Omega attacked them, his head cam broke.

The Fall[]

The ninja found the source of the distress signal at the NGTV building. He and Cole went out to help the people, but once they were about to leave, Nya accidentally turned the thrusters the wrong way. Jay saw Cole almost fell but was able to hang on to the ladder. Then the rope snapped and Jay and his friends watched as Cole plummeted into the dark clouds.

They went to save P.I.X.A.L., Lloyd, and Garmadon as they ran out of fuel. The ninja told them Cole fell off the Bounty, and Nya blames herself despite Jay and Kai saying it was an accident. After Garmadon told them they were wasting time mourning, he showed them the Golden Master's armor. However, everyone was upset at him and started leaving.

Endings[]

The Ninja landed near the monastery and Wu and Misako went to see them. They told the two that Cole fell into the dark clouds and destroying the Realm Crystal did nothing. However, Garmadon showed them the Golden Armor and Nya explained they might have a chance if they reforge the Golden Weapons. After Kai was done, he gave the weapons to their respective Ninja, but had to give the Scythe of Quakes to Nya. A monk then signals to the Ninja that the Oni are here, and they prepare to fight. Garmadon announced that he would fight against the Oni leader Omega, which Jay approved.

The Ninja began the fight them and were surprised to see Cole arrived. Nya then hands him his Scythe but they were overpowered and retreated into the monastery. They then watched as Jay asked Nya to be his Yang, to which she accepts. Lloyd then points out that they can try using the Tornado of Creation against the Oni.

However, they found Lloyd under a pile of debris and mourned. He suddenly woke up and the Ninja were relieved. As celebration, their allies visited the monastery and watched the Ninja make a new mural with their handprints.

Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu[]

Wasted True Potential[]

Jay woke Zane from a vision about Aspheera with the scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu and the army of Pyro Vipers attacking Ninjago City and the Ice Emperor with his army of Blizzard Samurai and a massive Ice Dragon in the Never-Realm.

He urged Zane to hurry, as Cole was beating Zane's high score in a game with Lava Zombies and was sad to see he missed it. The Ninja sat in the hot tub, which actually turned out to be the Bell of Divinity. Infuriated, Wu put the Ninja to a test to see how long they could survive in the room with his chicken. They were able to trap the chicken, but Wu was unimpressed.

After complaining about the traps Wu set up, the Ninja asked Wu what to do. He challenged them to a battle, but were easily defeated. Once again, the chicken was released to punish them.

Questing for Quests[]

After Lloyd was rejected by Wu for a quest tip, Jay advised a change of scenery. They ended up in the hot tub, thinking about who to fight. Jay realized there wasn't anyone to fight, so they resorted to go to the police and sort out criminals and thugs that would threaten Ninjago City, but found nothing but cats in trees and fake locations.

They returned to the monastery to relax and turned on the TV to find in the Desert of Doom, there was a pyramid with booby-traps and shenanigans of all sorts. They quickly left, not seeing a mysterious stone tablet with the carving pattern of a snake.

A Rocky Start[]

The Ninja rushed around the Monastery, packing to prepare for their quest. Before they headed off, P.I.X.A.L. introduced the Ninja to the hangar bay. They quickly headed off with the Land Bounty and two other vehicles.

In the Land Bounty, Zane informed the Ninja about Beohernie, although Jay thought the people mispronounced his name and should've been called "Bernie." Cole discovered an oasis to stop and have lunch. Zane continued to talk about the desert, and Cole left to get food, but the basket sank to the ground. The Ninja rushed to their vehicles and were able to outrun Beohernie; however, it was at the cost of losing one of the key compartments the Land Bounty needs.

The Belly of the Beast[]

Still stuck on the rock, Jay began to complain thinking the situation was hopeless and started to kick some rocks down a slope. What Jay didn't know was that he was walking straight into Beohernie, who was buried beneath the sand. Jay was almost devoured by Beohernie, but the rest of the Ninja were able to save him.

In the evening, the Ninja did rock, paper, scissors to determine who will retrieve the component. In the end, Zane won.

The next morning, Zane went on the sand and was consumed by Beohernie. When Zane notified the Ninja that he found the component, the Ninja pulled him from Beohernie, but he resisted by pulling onto Cole's Dirt Bike. The force of Beohernie caused Cole to fall out of his vehicle and onto the sand where two more bugs began to attack, but they were repelled by the Ninja. Eventually, Kai shot fireballs at Beohernie's belly which allowed Zane to escape the belly of the beast.

With the component recovered, the Ninja were to escape the rock and outrun the other scarab beetles to their next destination, the pyramid.

Boobytraps and How to Survive Them[]

The Ninja tried to convince Clutch Powers to explore with them but couldn't. Clutch got a call from the Explorer's Club. His membership was about to get revoked, so he helped. The Ninja went past obstacles. Cole used his strength to lift a column. Later on, Jay tripped a cobweb and the Ninja fell into spikes Kai destroyed with his fire.

They soon reached a room with a sliding puzzle on a wall. Jay and Nya accidentally freed Aspheera, by finishing the puzzle. Clutch fled, saying he would be asking for help. She stole Kai's power and trapped Jay and the other Ninja after she beat them with Spinjitzu.

Ninja vs Lava[]

Inside pyramid, the Ninja were trapped in chains and began to doubt that Clutch Powers would help them. Jay began to read Powers' book that recommended "vocal exercises" when you're in a stressed situation, but it only annoys the other Ninja as they begin to blame each other for the situation they're in. After they calm down, Lloyd tries to come up with a plan to escape, and Jay suggests they read Powers' book to find some advice.

Suddenly, the torches go out and it becomes dark enabling Jay to read, but the light comes back in the room only to be lava leaking from Aspheera's tomb. Jay freaks out and drops the book into the lava, and it burns into ashes.

Despite the rushing lava, the Ninja are able to escape their prison; however, they are still chained. When they get to the barrier, Cole uses his lava arms to lift the barrier allowing the other Ninja to pass. As Cole was lifting the rock up, Jay caught sight of lava approaching them and immediately begins running away from the lava. Not realizing they were still tied together, this caused a chain reaction, as Lloyd and Cole were pulled towards Jay causing Cole to drop the rock and nearly crushing Kai.

The Ninja reach the tomb where the rest of the Pyro Vipers were stored, but the lava continued to follow them and reawakened the Pyro Vipers along with it. Now having to fight the Pyro Vipers, Jay decided to use Spinjitzu still not knowing he was chained to the rest of the Ninja. This resulted in the Ninja being part of Jay's Spinjitzu and despite defeating the Pyro Vipers, the Ninja were now chained in a circle which forced them to jump instead of run.

When the Ninja reach the bridge, Jay thought they could just run across, but as soon as he touched one of the planks, it instantly collapsed which caused Jay to nearly fall. They soon realized the entire bridge is weak as it collapsed. After some thinking, Lloyd comes up with the idea of a human bridge in order to cross. The plan ends up being successful as they were able to cross to the other side.

When the Ninja go outside, the pyramid, they find out they are surrounded by a pool of lava steadily rising. Facing certain death, the Ninja begin to blame each other and Jay begins to say his "vocal exercise" he got from Powers' book. Soon, the rest of the Ninja follow suit, and just when all hope seemed lost, P.I.X.A.L. arrives in the ShuriCopter and is able to save the Ninja just before the destruction of the pyramid.

Snaketastrophy[]

Just as Fred Finely was about to be devoured by an Elemental Cobra, the Ninja saved him and defeated the Elemental Cobra before heading off to the Ninjago Museum of History.

Powerless[]

The Ninja saved the Police Commissioner and his crew from the Elemental Cobras before heading off to the Museum without Kai.

Jay fought the Elemental Cobras while Lloyd fought Aspheera and ultimately lost to her. She then performed Spinjitzu against the Ninja and successfully defeated them. Aspheera then used her staff to destroy parts of the roof and caused the debris to fall on the Ninja. After that, she reawakened the Pyro Vipers who were still in their tombs and told them to follow her out of the museum, and the Elemental Cobras to finish off the Ninja.

Before the Elemental Cobras destroyed the Ninja, Jake came in to shield the Ninja, but Kai caught up and rescued Jake out of trouble while turning on the fire sprinklers to distract the Elemental Cobras before Zane finished them using his ice powers.

Ancient History[]

Cole, Kai, and Jay headed down the sewer to find Skales, but instead, found three Hypnobrai and were taken captive. When they were taken to Skales, he was unhappy to see them although he then helped them find information on Aspheera with the help of Acidicus.

After finding who the "Treacherous Deceiver" was, they headed back to the Monastery to tell Wu that Aspheera was out for Garmadon, but Wu told them that she was out for him, and not his brother.

Never Trust a Human[]

Jay listened to Wu's story on how he became the "Treacherous Deceiver."

Under Siege[]

After Wu told the story, Cole, Jay, Kai, and P.I.X.A.L. started asking questions, but before Wu could answer all of them, they heard the noise outside and realized Aspheera was on her way. Cole asked about the second Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu and using logic, P.I.X.A.L. thought the second scroll would be with an archeologist, so Cole contacted Lloyd, Zane, and Nya to find Clutch Powers.

P.I.X.A.L. activated the defensive systems for the Monastery, but Aspheera banished them and Fire Fang obliterated the door causing them to retreat to the Hanger Bay. When they realized that they cannot escape, Kai blamed Wu for their troubles, and Cole tried to comfort him, but he walked away.

Jay then asked P.I.X.A.L. if she had a backup plan, and she reveals an unfinished Titan Mech. They then began to work on it to prepare for the worst.

When the Pyro Vipers found out their secret hideout, Wu believed he should face them alone, but Kai apologized to Wu and promised that they will face Aspheera as a team.

The Explorers Club[]

Jay continued to work on the Titan Mech along with Kai and P.I.X.A.L.

Vengeance is Mine![]

The Pyro Vipers broke the door to the Hanger Bay, but they were unable to find Wu until Jays gave their hideout by sneezing. Before Aspheera could do any harm, P.I.X.A.L. used the Titan Mech to defend the Ninja and Wu. Despite this, Aspheera was able to hold her ground and held the Ninja hostage until Lloyd, Nya, and Zane arrived with the second Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu.

A lengthy battle ensued with Jay having the chance to possess the Scroll when it fell into his hands. Eventually, Zane got the Scroll and froze the Pyro Vipers. before giving back the Scroll to Wu, Aspheera's arm managed to get free and she attempted to zap Wu, but Zane saved his master by pushing Wu of the way causing him to be hit and be seemingly destroyed.

A Cold Goodbye[]

The Ninja came running in after P.I.X.A.L. had a nightmare of losing Zane. Wu then told the Ninja that Zane was alive; however, Wu wouldn't let the Ninja come since its location was remote.

Despite this, Lloyd stole the Traveler's Tea, and the Ninja headed to the Hanger Bay where they spotted Wu holding the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu. A lengthy battle occured as both sides were fighting for the Traveler's Tea. This gave the Ninja no choice, but to tie Wu up and place a mouthpiece over him. In the end, the Ninja headed inside the Land Bounty while P.I.X.A.L. stood outside and zapped the vehicle into the Never-Realm.

The Never-Realm[]

The Land Bounty lands lands on a cliff, forcing the Ninja to evacuate and during the process, Cole loses the Traveler's Tea. This causes an argument with Jay before Lloyd breaks up the fight and suggests they head down the mountain to avoid freezing.

After hiking through frigid temperatures, the Ninja finally make it to a forest where it’s still cold. In addition, the Ninja face danger when they are approached by Frost Wolves. The Ninja flee from the danger, but Lloyd runs into a tree giving a chance for the wolves to attack but in spite of that, the wolves head off somewhere else. What the Ninja don’t realize is that one of the wolves is frozen on a tree.

Following the unusual sight of wolves running away, the Ninja stumble upon some people who are also frozen. Nya is able to sense one of the victims realizing they have a heartbeat and are still alive, but Nya also gets a signal on the Titan Mech. Before they sought out to find the Mech, Jay believed they should help the people, but Lloyd and Nya stand their ground saying they should get more information before assisting the people.

After following the bleak signal for some time, the Ninja run into the wolves again, but this time they fight. They are able to hold their ground for some time until three mysterious people shoot arrows at the wolves causing them to run away.

The Ninja follow the people to a nearby village where they are greeted by the elder Sorla. After both sides give their introductions, Sorla throws a potion into the hearth fire, and they are able to find Zane’s location which is the Ice Emperor's Castle. Sorla tells them that Zane was most likely taken captive by the Ice Emperor and he is "lost." However, Lloyd believes Zane is strong and they will still come for him despite all the dangers she said. Sorla then warns them of General Vex who is out to get the Ninja.

Fire Maker[]

Jay is seen outside trying on gear that will help him walk through snow. When the Ice Fishers head inside because of the Blizzard Samurai, Sorla states they must protect the Fire and they head outside to start working. By sunrise, the villagers and the Ninja are able to create a fort.

At night, the first barrage of attacks begin when a plethora of arrows come streaking at the villagers. They are able to dodge it, but see Blizzard Samurai at their footsteps. They end up attacking but they shattered into ice when hit. Jay is on top of one of the towers zapping any Blizzard Samurai who climb the walls.

Despite defending their village, one Blizzard Samurai takes out their sacred Fire. Kai continues to blames himself for not having his Elemental Powers before trying once more. This time, he is able to create the Fire, and the villagers chant "Fire Maker" due to his success.

An Unlikely Ally[]

Jay and Nya are working on top of the roof and both remark on how cold it is before Jay ends up falling into a pile of snow Cole created.

When Lloyd heads off, Jay gives him dried fish so he doesn't starve.

The Message[]

While helping carry wood, Jay watched as Cole failed to calm the children when they run away.

Meanwhile, Uthaug runs up to show the village he found a piece of Lloyd's gi and there were signs of a fight and avalanche. The Ice Fishers and Ninja are concerned and hoped he is safe.

The Traveler's Tree[]

In Cole's nightmare, Jay, Kai, and Lloyd were disappointed in Cole after he left the tea behind. They made him go back for it, and the Bounty fell off the cliff.

Jay woke him up, claiming it was just a nightmare. After Cole stormed off, Kai told Jay he would eventually calm down.

Later, Kai and Jay asked Nya where Cole was and told her what happened earlier. Boma and Uthaug rusheed to tell them Cole was also on the mountain, prompting Jay and Nya to go after him while Kai stayed behind to protect the village.

Krag's Lament[]

Nya and Jay walked up the mountain. They are concerned when they hear Krag's roars. They found footprints that lead to a cave. They investigated it, and when they hear Krag, they attacked. When Cole explained Krag is his friend, he introduced each other. Cole allows Krag come along with them down the mountain.

My Enemy, My Friend[]

After Jay, Cole, Nya, and Krag made it back to the Great Lake, they were surprised to see everyone but Kai frozen. Jay and the others then agrees with Kai as he comes a plan to find the Land Bounty, fix it, and fight off the Emperor of Ice.

A Fragile Hope[]

Jay is searching for the Land Bounty with his friends when the Frost Wolves appear behind them. The rest of the Ninja discuss quickly on what they should do, but Jay tells them that he knows. On the count of three, he runs away, much to everyone's surprise. As they run, Kai catches up to Jay and questions his decision. However, Cole sees the Bounty up ahead and they all race for cover. When Krag cannot close the door fast enough, Nya grabs a fire extinguisher and tells Jay to zap it, which he does so, scaring the wolves away. After the wolves scatter, they proceed to work on the Bounty. While they are working on the Bounty, Nya starts to rip things out of it. Jay and Kai express their worry on the decision and Nya reminds them that they could help her, which they choose not to.

But soon, Cole warns them that the wolves were back and Jay helps him and Krag protect the Bounty. Nya is able to start up the Bounty and they escape the wolves, heading off for the Ice Emperor's castle.

Once and for All[]

Jay informs Krag about their hit game, Lava Zombies, which interests Krag greatly. Krag tries to play the game and this annoys Jay greatly. He tries to tell him it's his turn and Cole reminds him that reasoning with a giant creature that could squash him is not a great idea. Jay realizes this and turns around to see Krag growl at him. Seeing Cole's point, he lets him play. When Kai alerts the rest of the Ninja they were getting close to the castle, Jay heads off to his seat. Unfortunately for them, they awaken Boreal and he chases the Bounty down. Eventually, Nya gets an idea and Jay questions on her actions. After they defeated Boreal, Jay comforts Nya into letting go of her iron grip on the handles.

Awakenings[]

As the Ninja Krag get off the Bounty, Nya discovers that Boreal was made entirely of ice. This thought leads Jay to believe the Ice Emperor is an Elemental Master of Ice like Zane, but then it hits Nya that Zane is the Ice Emperor. The rest of the Ninja and Krag are surprised this is possible, but Nya reminds them that Zane was holding the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu when he was banished. Jay asks for an explanation for the time difference, which Nya cannot reason with. However, before they can do anything, Boreal wakes up. This forces them to fight and eventually leads Nya to discovering how to master control over ice and Kai regaining his Elemental Powers back. With Boreal defeated, they run off to the castle to warn Lloyd.

When they arrive at the castle, they find everything is back to normal and reunite happily with Lloyd and Zane. After many days, the Ninja decide to return back to Ninjago. Jay leaps out of the portal first and embraces an overjoyed Wu and P.I.X.A.L. The rest of the Ninja, Wu, and P.I.X.A.L. wait for Cole and Lloyd to return.

Prime Empire and Prime Empire Original Shorts[]

Let's Dance[]

Nya and Jay bumped into each other at the monastery, Nya suggested they do something together. Jay declined because he wanted to go to Benny's Arcade Emporium, but offered to something she wants when he gets back. She cheered up and exclaimed she wanted to take dance lessons, to which he reluctantly agrees.

At the dance class, they started to dance, but Jay was more successful than her. He managed to impress the whole class and even their instructor, Vlad Tutu. Seeing Nya disappointed, Jay danced with her again.

After class was over, Nya said she wanted to do something Jay wanted in return. They went to the arcade and he lead her to a dance machine, revealing how he got his talent. Lloyd then called him to tell him about the Mechanic's break in at a warehouse, but the two delayed the mission to play the game first.

Upgrade[]

After the Mechanic's ecape from the other ninja, Jay and Nya arrived at the scene, and Lloyd questioned their whereabouts. Both of them lied about where they were actually were.

Would You Like to Enter Prime Empire?[]

Jay and the rest of the Ninja fight The Mechanic and his henchman when they were caught robbing an old electronics warehouse. Eventually, The Mechanic runs away in his Noodle Truck, and Jay and the other Ninja chase after him until the Mechanic was caught and arrested

The Ninja then explore The Mechanic's headquarters since he was trying to run away into that building. While the rest of the Ninja looked for any evidence, Jay plays an arcade game called Prime Empire, after he put in the motherboard he took from the Mechanic. Later, when Jay reached Level 13, the arcade cabinet opens up and Jay enters Prime Empire.

Prior to The Meaning of Victory[]

After getting trapped in Prime Empire, Jay learns about the Speedway Five-Billion.

The Meaning of Victory[]

Jay is interviewed about the Speedway Five-Billion and he tells the viewers that it's not what everyone thinks it is. His interview is cut short as three Red Visors begin chasing him.

The Stowaway[]

Manhunt[]

Superstar Rockin' Jay[]

Jay makes an appearance at the end of the episode when he's wearing his Avatar and plays the guitar to the League of Jay for a brief moment. When stopping to thank them, he noticed Nya, Cole, Kai, and Lloyd in the crowd looking at him. Excited to see his friends again, Jay runs up and hugs them as he tells them how cool Prime Empire is.

I am Okino[]

Kai and Jay enter Terra Karana arguing about the League of Jay. The Ninja then see a depressed Okino and honor him if he could guide them through Terra Karana.

The Glitch[]

Jay and the rest of the Ninja head out with Okino into the Forest of Discontent. Their first obstacle are bushes which contain the Thorns of Discontent. Jay manages to dodge the bushes while Lloyd, Cole, and Nya destroy the bushes.

As the team and Okino travel through the forest, they complain about the darkness and not being able to see. Jay then opens his inventory and pulls out two torches for him and Cole. The problem now is that they could see what danger awaited for them.

As they continue walking, Nya accidentally jumps into a pit. She then begins to sink into it as teeth surround her. Jay and Cole attempt to pull her out in vain and Nya screams as the sand and teeth swallow her. Respawning, Nya is upset as well to see that she has also lost a life.

Okino and the Ninja eventually reach a point where he thinks the upcoming obstacle could be Strangler Vines. Lloyd finds out it's not, but they are ambushed by the Whack Rats. The Ninja defeat the Whack Rats and Ritchie is tied up. They interrogate him and Ritchie reveals that Unagami ordered them to ambush the Ninja. Lloyd then comments about Unagami preventing the Ninja from winning the game which confuses Okino. The Ninja then explain that Prime Empire is not a real-world and Unagami is the creator of the world. Originally, Okino doesn't believe it, causing Jay to think that he is not programmed to understand the truth.

Realizing Unagami is playing dirty, the Ninja are about to leave, but Ritchie urges the Ninja to cut him down because he has an itch. Ritchie then tells the Ninja that there's a glitch in the game that can allow the Ninja to bypass the Forest of Discontent. The Ninja end up letting Ritchie down and he begins scratching his body.

Ritchie guides the Ninja to the glitch and he jumps in. Okino is confused at the sight as the rest of the Ninja enter as well. The Ninja are teleported to a purple cubed room. They walk forward and all of a sudden, the Red Visors appear and begin shooting the Ninja. The Ninja pull out their prime controllers to defend themselves as Ritchie looks on before leaving the room. The Ninja begin to lose lives until Okino enters and fights the Red Visors allowing the Ninja a chance to escape. Everyone but Lloyd is able to escape because Lloyd wants Okino to come along. Okino decides to stay with Lloyd as he pushes him through the portal.

The Ninja and Okino land outside the Forest of Discontent. Lloyd thanks Okino, but he is kneeling, realizing the world he lives in is not real. Okino thinks he's a pawn, but Lloyd downplays the idea as he tells Okino that he made his own decision, not Unagami. Lloyd then tells Okino to trust in himself and in the Ninja as friends and as an ally to help them get past Terra Karana.

The Cliffs of Hysteria[]

The Ninja talk to Shifty who gives them a discount on the grappling hooks for "Flower Nya". Shifty then offers them two ropes: the Rope of Supreme Durability and the Rope of Questionable Integrity. Shifty lists the price for the first rope at a massive price that the Ninja can't pay. Jay refuses to buy the Rope of Questionable Integrity and suggests gaining more credits or to steal the rope.

The Ninja are forced to take the second rope and Red Visors arrive at the scene. The Ninja begin climbing the cliff with the Red Visors on their tails. Jay defends himself by using his prime controllers and he makes it to the top.

As the Ninja interrogate one of the Red Visors, it tells the Ninja that Unagami is constructing something to another place and Jay realizes it's Ninjago.

The Maze of the Red Dragon[]

The Ninja and Okino begin dashing through traps and just before Cole asks Okino where to go, Unagami pauses the game to speak with Okino. When the game unpauses, the Ninja ask again and Okino begins guiding them.

They make it to where the Red Dragon is and the Purple Key-Tana. Jay attempts to steal it when the dragon is sleeping, but the Ninja accidentally awaken it when they save Jay from being crushed. Jay and the Ninja struggle to attack the Red Dragon until Okino strikes the dragon on its weak spot. The Ninja begin striking that same point until Jay grabs the Key-Tana and takes out the remaining lives.

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back[]

Jay introduces Terra Technica to the Ninja and they decide to sign up for the Speedway Five-Billion. Unfortunately, they don't have enough credits to enter the race and to make matters worse, they are surrounded by Red Visors. Jay fights one of them and is forced to have a weapon upgrade which causes them to need more credits once they are done fighting. They then see an advertisement for a dance competition and decide to enter in order to obtain more credits.

Jay and Nya begin dancing and rank up points rapidly. This impresses the rest of the Ninja as they didn't realize Jay was a excellent dancer. As Jay is dancing, he sees another couple dancing well and feels like they won't catch up, but Nya claims they have what they don't have, chemistry. The two then step up their game and earn more points, much to the dismay of one of the dancers Jay took notice of earlier. They make their way over to them and the female dancer pulls Jay aside and threatens him before pushing him back to Nya.

Both Ninja then realize that the dancing pair are cheating their way to victory as they begin shoving other contestants. The Red Visors then show up and begin interfering with the competition although Nya uses it to her advantage.

Jay and Nya see only thirty seconds remaining, more Red Visors are approaching, and the other dancers are ahead of them by at least one-thousands points. Knowing that in order to win, they must perform a big dance move, Nya jumps at the Red Visors and kicks them away, telling Jay to catch her. Jay panics, knowing that they never performed that move. Nya denies this and says that she trusts him, as she runs at him. Jay then tosses Nya in the air, spinning her around until Jay holds her up by the foot, then throws her back up. As she spins again, Jay then catches Nya by the hands while she is upside down and they spin, tripling their points. As they perform the move, Jay happily announces his love for Nya, again, and she smiles at him.

After winning the competition, Jay and Nya cash out their earnings to enter the race. The Ninja then realize they need cars, but Jay claims he knows someone who can lend them cars, so they head out to Scott.

Racer Seven[]

Scott shows the Ninja all of the vehicles he has and commented that he wouldn't race due to having only one life left. Jay replies by saying that some things are worth fighting for, but Scott doesn't want to be a hero. Jay then explains that Scott has been in the game for way too long.

While Lloyd heads out to check out the track, the rest of the Ninja begin making repairs to their vehicles. While Nya is working on her car, she falls down and Jay checks to see if she's okay. Nya then gets upset that her vehicle is now destroyed, but Lloyd comes back telling the team that he thinks Racer Seven can drive. However, Scott reveals that Racer Seven is programmed to lose which gets affection from Jay and Nya. Lloyd then goes out to find her.

After a gruelling day, the Ninja rebuild four vehicles but still need another one. That's when Racer Seven arrives, so the Ninja and Scott come out to greet her. Lloyd then asks if she will participate or not.

The Speedway Five-Billion[]

While the Ninja are talking to Racer Seven, the alarm sounds as Red Visors begin shooting the base. Lloyd said he would hold them off, but the Ninja won't let him, so Scott decides to hold off the Red Visors. The Ninja are able to escape, but Jay cries out when Scott is cubed.

The Ninja are able to enter the race and the race goes on, more and more racers get eliminated. Jay pulls upfront, he gets side to side with Richie. They both recognize each other and Richie throws a bomb at him. Luckily, Jay ducks down in time for it to go over his jet and hit another competitor, sending it flying back and hitting other race vehicles as well.

Knowing that their friends stand a better chance of winning than them, the Kai and Cole exchange knowing nods. Kai's mech jumps on a Red Visors' car and Cole throws his wrecking ball at two other Red Visors' cars, one being the one he hit with the wrecking ball with and the other he snagged while dragging the other car back. As all the vehicles are about to collide, Kai and Cole wish their friends good luck. A giant explosion occurs and everyone is shocked when two energy cubes fall to the track. Jay and Nya scream for their friends while Lloyd hangs his head down in despair while Unagami's drones pick up the cubes.

The Whack Rats then attempt to move Racer Seven out of first, but the Ninja get in their way. Racer Seven crosses the finish line first and wins as everyone cheers.

Jay, Nya, Lloyd, and Racer Seven are crowned the winners of the race and handed the Yellow Key-Tana. Seven hands it to Jay, as he states that they can make Unagami bring their friends back. They just have to get the Orange Key-Tana and confront him. Red Visors begin to appear again and Seven tells them she can handle this and thanks them. The remaining Ninja run off as the Red Visors confront Racer Seven.

Stop, Drop and Side Scroll[]

The remaining Ninja - Lloyd, Nya, Jay - head through Terra Technica and sneak past Red Visors. As they move, they watched of replay Kai and Cole being cubed from the Speedway Five-Billion, discouraging them. Lloyd tells the two of them that Kai and Cole would want them to keep on moving, which they do so. Jay shows them to the last Arcade Pod that would take them to the next area, Terra Domina.

When arriving, they find themselves in a side-scrolling platform, where they have to beat all the levels to reach the end. Jay describes how this works: As they keep moving, the ground will disappear behind them and will go faster as they progress, as they keep moving they will need to dodge objects and falling bricks, if one of them dies, they all have to start over. As Nya questions the last rule, she is hit by a giant swinging sledgehammer with spikes, killing her.

The trio respawns back at the beginning, with Nya on her last life. Lloyd expresses his annoyance on having to repeat that again. Jay tells them if they pay attention, they can do this. As they get farther, Jay passes three of the same hammers that killed Nya earlier. As he dances in his victory, he barley evades a falling brick. As he laughs at the brick, another one falls and crushes him.

They respawn back at the start again, now with Jay standing on his last life. They move on again and Lloyd gets blocked by a giant wall. He tries to double jump over it, but doesn't have enough room to get high enough. Instead, he hits the wall and falls to his death.

The three respawn back at the beginning once more, now with all of them down to one life. Jay tells them that they can't afford any more mistakes. This time, they make it through the first section.

The music gets faster and Jay realizes this as the game is getting harder. They are then greeted by an infinity maze going upwards and the floor slowly disappearing beneath them. They travel upwards and after a while, they slowly get tired. Just as they think the side-scroller is endless, Nya gets a Loot-Box and unlocks the ability to perform Airjitzu. Jay and Lloyd tell Nya to go on without them but says for them to grab and hold tight and flies up to the top.

When they arrive at the top, they find themselves having to choose a champion to face their most dreaded challenger and obtain the Orange Key-Tana. Lloyd is chosen and walks in the fighting arena. Unagami chooses and spawns Lloyd's most dreaded challenger, which was fake Harumi, which surprises Lloyd. Jay and Nya try to warn him of what Unagami is doing, but a dome blocks them from entering the arena and mutes their voices from the inside.

Jay and Nya obtain the Orange Key-Tana, but they lose Lloyd as he has been cubed. Jay then tells Nya that they will stop Unagami and finish it for those who were lost.

The Temple of Madness[]

Jay and Nya arrive at the Temple of Madness, passing through conveyor belts of shurikens while hand in hand, using skills they previously learned in their dance lessons to guide them through. They successfully make it through without losing any lives, despite a glitch occurring on one shuriken that was unpredictable.

Jay thinks the next level will be more challenging than the previous, as this is normally what video games do when the player progresses, but they end up at Sushimi's Sushi Restaurant. Thinking it’s a provided time to recharge, Jay and Nya take a seat, however their waitress turns against them, making them realize it’s actually an attack. She throws knives and monster sushi at Jay and Nya, but they evade her attacks and defeat her. The monster sushi attack Jay, but Nya helps him shake them off.

Three red sushi chefs enter the room and begin throwing dishes and knives at Jay and Nya. Jay and Nya flip and push the tables in front of them as shields. They take out two of the chefs before having to deal with the pieces of monster sushi again. Jay and Nya defeat two of the chefs, but the third summons Sushimi, the Mad Sushi Chef. Jay and Sushimi fight with Sushimi’s weapon of choice, Chopsticks, but realizing they had to defeat him quicker, throw monster sushi on Sushimi’s face. Jay throws him on the conveyer belt and Nya turns it on, sending the chef flying across the room and opening the door to a staircase leading to a firewall, the last thing between them and Unagami.

Jay and Nya hug, but unexpectedly Sushimi has walked up the staircase and throws a malice at the couple. Nya sees him and quickly pushes Jay away, but is killed and cubed in the process. Jay, enraged, throws the malice back at Sushimi, destroying him.

In despair, Jay breaks down over Nya's death, saying he couldn't do this alone. Unagami tells Jay to surrender or suffer the same fate. Jay refuses and switches the Key-Tanas, closing down the firewall. Before leaving, Jay tells Nya's energy cube that he'll set things right and runs off to face Unagami.

As Jay gets closer to Unagami, he gets a good look at what he's building: The Manifestation Gate, with all the energy cubes of the cubed players being put in place. Unagami congratulates Jay on beating the game. Angry, Jay expresses he will do the same to "Milton Dyer". He begins to think Unagami is playing dumb when he acts confused when being called by that name, so Jay tells him to give up his ruse. Unagami tells Jay that Dyer was his creator and his whole reason for his plan to enter Ninjago, to hear his reason on why he abandoned him. Jay then comes to conclusion that Unagami was the game as the latter denies this. Unagami sends the pieces of Nya's Energy Cube to be apart of his gateway, finishing it, much to Jay's dismay. With it now being completed, a shock wave travels throughout Prime Empire, alerting the NPCs and calling the Red Visors to the temple.

Unagami attempts to leave but is stopped by Jay, and the two fight, however, Unagami turns into a Dragon and knocks Jay aside. Unagami then flies through the gateway with many Red Visors following. Some stay behind to fight Jay. As he continues holding them off, one knocks his controller out of his hands and falling down below. Jay continues to fight but soon gets overwhelmed. Just as it all seems over, he uses the amulet he achieved earlier and summons the Cyber Dragon, now blue and under his command. He then takes out the rest of the Red Visors and flies through the gateway.

Game Over[]

Jay follows him out of the gate, meeting Zane, P.I.X.A.L., Dyer, and Wu. Jay helps P.I.X.A.L. free Zane from the Manifestation Gate. After telling the others that the other ninja got cubed, Jay then forms a plan for Dyer to meet Unagami at the top of Borg Tower. Unagami chases Jay, who eventually lands on Borg Tower. Unagami, in dragon form, roars at Jay, however, Jay starts to console him, saying that he could relate to Unagami being abandoned by his creator, as Jay had been adopted and never knew his biological parents. Unagami attempts to bring the conversation to an end, pointing his spear at Jay, however, Dyer appears, wanting to speak with his creation. Jay watches as Unagami starts to glitch into a child form, revealing a scared and confused child.

After Dyer convinces Unagami to come home with him and the two made amends, Unagami releases all who were previously in Prime Empire. Jay, along with Wu, P.I.X.A.L and Zane go down to meet them. As the ninja exit the portal, they see Jay. Nya, happy to see her boyfriend once again, embraces Jay, who lifts her up and kisses her. Lloyd and the rest of the ninja gather around, with Kai asking what had happened. Jay replies saying it’s a long story, and that Unagami is finally where he belongs, home.

Master of the Mountain[]

Shintaro[]

Jay and Nya are raking leaves, but he realizes there is too much work to do. Jay decides to use Spinjitzu despite Nya advising him not to use it. They finish their work, but Wu is buried underneath the pile. However, Wu doesn't say anything and he heads back inside.

The Ninja then receive a letter from the Kingdom of Shintaro and Jay adores the card that was provided. He then reads what's inside the card and tells the rest of the group they've received an invitation to celebrate Princess Vania's birthday.

Jay and the rest of the Ninja head out via the Bounty. Along the way, they hear strange sounds and Zane reveals that a species of bats called the Dire Bats lived in the area. However, Jay thinks the account isn't real until a Dire Bat picks him up and starts flying away. Jay screams in fear and begs for mercy, so the Dire Bat drops him. Luckily, Cole is able to save him on another Dire Bat. Soon, the creature flings the two Ninja from his bag, but Kai is able to save the two Ninja by tossing them a rope. The Bounty then begins to descend after one of the Dire Bats knocked the sails over.

The Ninja prepare to crash, but realize the Bounty is still floating. Then soon discover the Army of Shintaro carrying the ship while Hailmar greets the Ninja and shows them the Ivory City in the horizon.

Into the Dark[]

Jay and the Ninja marvel at the beauty of the Ivory City and are escorted inside the throne room where they meet King Vangelis and Princess Vania. As Jay walks out, he tells Lloyd that Vania likes Cole, causing Lloyd to get suspicious of Vania.

During the night, Cole wakes everyone up and tells them about encountering a purple monster and having a necklace that used to belong to his mother. However, the Ninja think Cole is dreaming and they head back to sleep.

The Worst Rescue Ever[]

Jay and the other Ninja are strolling through the magnificent gardens, and realize that Cole is missing.

Suddenly, Princess Vania appears from out of a tunnel in a frenzy, telling the Ninja that she went into the Dungeons with Cole and found something terrible. There's an underground mine filled with little creatures forced to mine by black skeletons. Cole stayed behind to rescue them, and told her to get help.

The seven of them go to tell King Vengelis, and he is angry at his daughter for disobeying his orders, endangering their guests. He says that he'll send his guards down at once to find Cole, but he will not allow the Ninja to go. The Ninja realize that the creature that Cole saw in his bedroom was real all along.

The Ninja leave the throne room, and make secret plans to enter the dungeons behind the King's orders. Vania agrees to show them the way into the dungeons, and she leads the way back to the garden.

Wu agrees to stay behind with Vania, feeling as though he'll slow the rest of them down. The Ninja enter the cave and find that Vania was telling the truth. Zane detects simple weapons and crude fortifications from the skeletons, and the others suggest that they bust up the bags of bones, and rescue Cole nice and quickly.

They all agree, and steal the keys to Cole's cage, and free him at last. In order to delay their capture, Zane blocks an entrance off for the skeletons with his shuriken. Cole tells them to keep the volume down, as there's a winged masked man who lives in the temple in the center.

The two tribes of creatures that live in the dungeons, the Geckles and Munce, start to quarrel with each other, causing a ruckus. This alerts the Awakened Warriors, who begin to attack the Ninja. Lloyd orders Jay and Nya to take our the warriors, while the rest of them run away. The Ninja and the others are in shock, watching the Geckles and Munce call each other "blade stealers." Meanwhile, the Ninja find that the Awakened Warriors go down without much trouble.

While trying to defend themselves, Zane realizes that his Elemental Powers are no use in the dungeons.

All the commotion causes the masked man to exit his temple. The man reveals himself as the Skull Sorcerer, a masked man in a black gown with wings, wielding a glowing green skull. The Skull Sorcerer uses the green skull in his hands to awaken the black skeletons around him, overwhelming the Ninja, leading to their defeat and eventual capture.

The Two Blades[]

Jay and the other Ninja are put to work by the Awakened Warriors, forced to mine heaping amounts of Vengestone, which explains their inability to use their powers.

After causing a ruckus, they are locked up in a cage with several Geckles. When Gliff picks a fight with Murt, the Ninja begin to wonder where their feud started.

The Geckle explains that long ago, a hero named "Gilly" (who the Munce argues was named "Milly,") entered the mountain with two blades to defend the Geckles and Munce from a terrible dragon known as Grief-Bringer (who the Munce argues was called "Mief-Bringer.") After defeating the dragon, "Gilly" left behind her blades as gifts to the Geckles and Munce— leaving the Ivory Blade of Deliverance to the Geckles, and the Shadow Blade of Deliverance to the Munce.

The two tribe's feud started when the Munce apparently stole their blade, however the Munce argues that the Geckles were the ones that stole the blade. The Ninja come to the conclusion that it was actually the Skull Sorcerer who stole both blades, in order to get control over both tribes. While the tribes fight over themselves, they can't fight the Skull Sorcerer.

Lloyd puts together a plan to get the two tribes to make a truce so they can all break out. Word is passed around through Geckles and Munce about a secret meeting after lunch, and when the time comes, they discuss retrieving both Blades by defeating the Skull Sorcerer.

Later, the Ninja break out of their cages by getting a Minos to eat through their chains. The Ninja split up, while Cole and Lloyd attempt to find the two blades, Zane and the others go about releasing the remaining Geckles and Munce. A few minutes later, chaos ensues, as Cole and Lloyd are chased away by the Skull Sorcerer.

In the commotion, the Ninja are split up so that Jay, Nya, and Lloyd go one path, while Zane and Kai go down another. Kai notices Cole dodging many attacks from the Skull Sorcerer and encourages him to follow him and Zane. Before he could, the Skull Sorcerer blocks off the front of their tunnel with an small avalanche, much to Kai's dismay as Cole is further separated from the group as he is chased by the Skull Sorcerer.

Queen of the Munce[]

Jay, Nya, and Lloyd follow the Munce to their home; however, Murt cannot remember where to go. Feeling like they'll never escape the tunnel, Jay begins to moan, but Nya finds footprints and they follow the tracks. Jay quickly changes his attitude saying he was always optimistic which earns a stern look from the others.

The Ninja including Jay are introduce to Queen Murtessa, and she begins to take affection for Jay despite Nya claiming they are together.

Nya is furious at Jay for not stepping up and defending Nya. When the Munce call the Ninja for their meal, they only request Jay to enter. Jay wasn't listening and was about to enter, but Nya pulls him aside and demands everyone to eat together.

While at the dining room, Jay continues to brag about his abilities such as turning all of the crystals to blue using his Elemental Powers. Murtessa is impressed and asks Jay if he has a special interest, but Nya interjects herself and claims she is with Jay. Murtessa then challenges Nya to a duel to determine Jay's partner, and Nya agrees.

Before the fight, Jay tells Nya that fighting isn't a good idea. Nya then tells Jay that if she doesn't fight, he would be stuck here forever, and eating disgusting food. Jay then begs Nya to win the fight.

Jay watches Nya take on Murtessa. At first, Nya is struggling but is able to pull out a victory when she uses Spinjitzu to knock Murtessa out. The Munce watch in shock and declare Nya as the new queen.

Grief-Bringer[]

Jay watches as the Munce argue whether they should attend the truce meeting with the Geckles. Nya then gets the Munces' attention by using her Elemental Powers and forces the Munce to the meeting.

When they arrive, Jay and the Ninja try to settle everyone down after tensions rise between the two tribes. Suddenly, they hear the sound of Grief-Bringer and everyone but Zane and Lloyd flee.

The Darkest Hour[]

The Ninja, Geckles, and Munce are running away from Grief-Bringer and decide to hide in the Geckle Strong-Cave.

When Nya and the Munce are trying to close the gate, Kai and the rest of the Ninja head out to buy time for them to close it. The Ninja perform Spinjitzu to defeat most of the Awakened Warriors, but they quickly rebuild themselves. Murtessa is able to break the chains to the gate and the Ninja retreat back in.

Tensions once rise between the two tribes as Gulch is upset that the Munce are in his shelter.

Even though both sides dislike each other, they both are fearful when Grief-Bringer and the Awakened Warriors attempt to tear down the gate. Nya recognizes a pile of rocks covering something and asks the Geckles and Munce to work together to remove the rocks. Kai marvels at their teamwork, and when they're done, he enters first. However, he discovers there's no other way out.

Murtessa and Gulch apologize to each other and Kai and Nya officially establish peace with the opposing tribes. At the same time, the Skull Sorcerer destroys the gate and is about to fight until the Ninja decide to surrender themselves and allow the Geckles and Munce to be free. The Skull Sorcerer agrees and the Ninja are taken away.

The Upply Strike Back![]

Jay and the Ninja are locked up in a cage and overlook the Geckles and Munce working in the mines. The Skull Sorcerer approaches their cage and informs the Ninja they'll be destroyed by Grief-Bringer. The Skull Sorcerer then reveals himself to be Vangelis and tells the Ninja he disposed Cole and Wu into the heart of the mountain.

During the execution ceremony, Jay and the Ninja watch in fear as Grief-Bringer is about to be released, but he doesn't come out. Cole then shows himself and fights the Skull Sorcerer. The Ninja cheer him on and wish they could join the fight as well. While the Munces and Geckles are also fighting, Plundar and Adam free the Ninja so they could join the fight.

The Son of Lilly[]

Jay continues to fight the Awakened Warriors alongside the Ninja, Upply, Munces, and Geckles. Despite being overwhelmed, they receive aid when Vania and the Winged Guards of Shintaro arrive as well.

After Cole unlocks the Spinjitzu Burst, Jay watches Vangelis being taken away by his former guards.

During the ceremony, Vania is declared queen of Shintaro and she promises peace for everyone. As the Ninja leave, Murtessa says goodbye to Jay as he kisses her hand. In response, she ends up hugging him.

The Island[]

Uncharted[]

Jay is with the other Ninja when Cecil tells them of Misako’s disappearance. He later meets Twitchy Tim with the other Ninja. He travels to the Island of the Keepers and with the other Ninja, drive their way into the Uncharted jungle.

The Keepers of the Amulet[]

Jay is involved in the battle with the Stone Guardians and the Ninja. He shoots Lightning at one of them only for the Guardian to use back against him. He retreats with the others and asks where Lloyd and Twitchy are. Shortly after he almost knocks Nya off a cliff, runs a bridge and is captured by the Keepers.

The Gift of Jay[]

After being sentenced to be jailed forever, Jay tries to make peace with the Keepers, just to be determined as a ‘gift’. He is given food by PoulErik and thinks that the Keepers want Jay to be their king. Jay is later being taken to “Wojira” and yells in fear as he is about to be sacrificed.

The Tooth of Wojira[]

After being caught by “Wojira”. Jay finds out the whole ordeal is a just a scam and questions why they are so many thugs in one area. He later finds out that the mastermind is Ronin and helps stop him.

The Virtues of Spinjitzu[]

Curiosity[]

To determine who would get the last cookie, Kai and Jay challenged each other to see who can chop the most bricks. Kai was able to win with one hundred and one. However, this alerted Wu who scolded the two for removing bricks from the monastery walls instead of meditating on the six Fundamental Virtues of Spinjitzu. Jay recalled being told by Wu to do something, but blanked out and asked what they were suspose to meditate on.

With the ninja forgetting the virtues, Wu ordered them to medidate immediately. While medidating, Jay was about to eat a cookie, but it was knocked out by Wu. While Wu was attending to the door, Jay continued to medidate even when Nya heard a roar in the background. When Nya investigated by opening the door, they was shocked to see Wu grasped by a green dragon. The ninja tried to fight the dragon, but the dragon was able to deflect their attacks and escape through a portal. The ninja then entered the portal hoping to save their master.

Balance[]

The ninja exited the portal and saw the green dragon across a pool of lava. Having to get across, Jay decided to use the chains hanging from the ceiling, but fell off and nearly knocked Zane over. Fortuantely, he is saved by the Fire Dragon and entered the next portal.

Wisdom[]

Jay and the ninja raced in the Speedway Five-Billion attempting to reach the portal at the finish line. However, the Whack Rats were blocking their way and kept respawning every time they were defeated. Lloyd then realized they needed to be defeated in order to get across and after he "died", he respawned near the portal. The rest of the ninja followed suit and entered the next portal.

Honesty[]

Jay and Kai found themselves inside the Castle of Ice and encountered the Ice Emperor. The Ice Emperor had the rest of the ninja trapped in a cage and forced them to joust the Blizzard Samurai in order to move on. Jay was able to defeat the Blizzard Warrior, but also fell down. After "winning", he went to Kai and told him about the truth, but Kai told Jay to be quiet hoping the Ice Emperor didn't see anything. Just before the Ice Emperor was about to punish the Blizzard Warriors, Jay blurted out the truth much to Kai's horror. Pleased Jay told the truth, the Ice Emperor freed the rest of the ninja and opened the next portal.

Generosity[]

Jay and the ninja fought the Awakened Warriors in the Mines of Shintaro. After saving the Geckles from the warriors, the ninja used the catapult to launch themselves to the next portal.

Courage[]

Jay and the ninja found themselves on the Island of the Keepers with Jay on his dragon. They discovered Wu held captive by the Legendary Dragon along with three other dragons surrounded by a forcefield. The ninja suggested different strategies, but Kai disregarded everything proposed by the ninja and took the dragons head on. Kai destroyed the forcefield allowing Jay and Nya to defeat one of the smaller dragons. Despite the ninja defeating the dragons and saving Wu, their master informed them it was merely a lesson to teach the six Fundamental Virtues of Spinjitzu.

Prior to Seabound[]

At some point Jay's powers started an electrical fire that destroyed the practice room in the monastery, which he blamed on Kai.[10]

Seabound[]

A Big Splash[]

Jay went to the library where Wu and the ninja were gathered, gathering information about Elemental Powers. As Wu studied a scroll listing various Elemental Powers except Water and Wind, he shared that the First Spinjitzu Master had control over all elemental powers except for Wind and Water, which were under the influence of Wojira. Wu explained that when Wojira merged Wind and Water, she could unleash Storm and Wave, creating a powerful force known as the Fury of the Storm. He recounted the tale of how Wojira was ultimately defeated in battle against the First Spinjitzu Master and the Merlopians, highlighting a Merlopian warrior who managed to take the Amulets of Wojira, including the Storm Amulet. Curious, Jay asked if Nya's powers were linked to Wojira or the amulets, to which Wu admitted he wasn't sure and recommended consulting Maya for further insights. Kai expressed skepticism, pointing out that Nya and Maya were not particularly close due to their parents' absence during their childhood. He emphasized Nya's strong sense of independence. Jay concurred with Kai's observations.

Later, Jay became a victim of Water acting out and went to confront Nya with the others, just to see Ray and Maya show up as well.

The Call of the Deep[]

Jay became a victim of Water when a fake amulet bursted. He was later helping the others clean the living room when they were told that there was something bothering Nya’s powers

Unsinkable[]

Jay was present when P.I.X.A.L. introduced the Hydro Bounty. Later, he was part of the exploration team to see what was bothering Nya’s powers. He comforted Nya many times when she felt worried and was surprised when all his chores were done. He later found Maya on the ship with the others. When the Hydro Bounty was sunk by a Maaray Guard, he commented how he was gonna need new underwear.

Five Thousand Fathoms Down[]

After Nya was finished with an argument against her mother, Nya found out that the others had been listening and asked if they had heard it. Jay lied but Zane tells the truth, which upsetted Nya. Jay then plunged a plunger on Zane’s face. After Nya chose to jump into an APS suit, Jay suggested he could also go but Nya said that she had better chances. Later, Nya and Maya were revealed to the gates of the Temple of Wojira and asked who could be sleeping at the bottom of the sea and he was shocked when he was told that Wojira is the creature who is sleeping.

The Wrath of Kalmaar[]

With the Hydro Bounty stranded and Nya captured, Jay suggested using his powers to charge the battery. He was stopped many times until he actually did do it and got the ship running. After that he was made captain of the ship.

Long Live the King[]

Jay along with the other ninja were ordered to come to Merlopia, and watched as Kalmaar blasted Trimaar with his trident. Then they were pursued by the Maaray Guards and Jay managed to electrify two of them, but then the palace was flooded with water.

Escape from Merlopia[]

After being saved by Benthomaar, he followed him with the others. Shortly after, Benthomaar told the others to stay put while he distracted Maaray Guards and Jay questioned if they should trust Bentho. After getting into the Hanger Bay, Jay helped in the fight against the guards to get into the Hydro Bounty. He was later introduced to Benthomaar by Nya.

The Tale of Benthomaar[]

Jay was present as Benthomaar told his story, and attempted to cheer his new friend up when he showed sadness at the thought of being alone.

The Storm Amulet[]

After being told of how Wojira can be awakened, Jay questioned about the Amulets of Wojira and was soon surprised to learn that the amulets actually fit inside of Wojira's head and not rested on top of it. While en-route to the Island of the Keepers, Jay wass knocked around multiple times because of the Storm belt. Later, he popped his head out only to be met with hostile by the Keepers, he was then greeted by PoulErik and was taken to Mammatus. He was shocked to discover that the Storm Amulet was a fake. On the Hydro Bounty, Kalmaar arrived. Jay tried to trick him with the fake amulet but Kalmaar already knew and destroyed the Bounty.

Riddle of the Sphinx[]

Jay stood and watched as Nya tries to summon the whales.

Master of the Sea[]

Jay listened to the tale of the Battle of Nine Days and joined in the fight against Kalmaar. He celebrated with the Ninja over their supposed victory over Kalmaar.

The Calm Before the Storm[]

Jay went to an arcade and played Dancy Pants with Nya and performed the dance move Nya named herself called the Electric Jaya. He was shocked to find out that Kalmaar had awakened Wojira.

Assault on Ninjago City[]

Jay was in his Sub car when Wojira attacked Ninjago City. He saved Dareth and people on the bus when the wave hit them. Later, he confronted Wojira but the snake chewed up his car, he was saved by Nya and was knocked into the flooded roads of Ninjago City.

Nyad[]

Jay was stuck underwater and tried to call for help as water filled in the sub car and tried to break out. Jay drowned underwater as Benthomaar pulled him out of the water. He was taken to the Ninjago News Center. Nya made the decision to merge with the sea in order to get the water out of Jay’s lungs. Jay was shocked to see what happened and told the others that he was going to help Nya face Kalmaar.

The Turn of the Tide[]

Jay, along with the ninja and Benthomaar, reached Nya, who was engaged in a fierce battle against Kalmaar and Wojira at the Ninjago City Police Station. Nya managed to gain the upper hand against Kalmaar, but in a moment of distraction caused by Jay calling out to her, Kalmaar seized the opportunity to rise again. Despite Jay's attempt to warn her, Kalmaar struck Nya with his trident, delivering a blow that seemed to kill her, leaving Jay in disbelief. After narrowly avoiding a blast from Wojira, Jay, fueled by anger, grabbed Wu's staff and charged at Kalmaar, determined to avenge Nya. Kalmaar dismissed Jay's attack as reckless, yet Jay continued to fight until Kalmaar knocked him off Wojira's head, taunting him about his weakness and impending doom. Benthomaar then stepped in to confront Kalmaar while Jay fought the Maaray Guards. Ultimately, Benthomaar succeeded in destroying Kalmaar's trident, which freed Wojira from his control. Wojira, having consumed Kalmaar, was ready to launch an attack on Jay and the others. Just then, Nya arrived, transforming into a Water Dragon. A battle ensued between Nya and Wojira, with Wojira using her Storm powers to shock Nya repeatedly. In a climactic moment, Wojira unleashed a combination of Storm and Water, which destroyed Nya's physical form, leaving Jay heartbroken. As Wojira prepared to finish off Jay and the others, Nya reformed. Nya charged at Wojira, shattering the Wave Amulet in the process. This act triggered a surge of lightning that struck Wojira, either killing her or forcing her to retreat into hiding.

Jay tried to embrace Nya to congratulate her, but he found that he cannot reach her, which emphasized her condition. Nya expressed her confusion about Kai and Jay's promise to restore her, leaving Jay and the others puzzled. As Nya listened closely, she became aware of the powerful sounds emanating from the Endless Sea. Benthomaar remarked that the sea was calling out to her. Jay observed the ripples in Nya's water form, signaling her struggle to hold onto her current shape, which raises Jay's concern for her health. Nya then decided to head towards the Endless Sea, saying her goodbyes to Jay and the others. Jay called out to Nya with urgency, worried about her condition and urging her to concentrate. Nya walked by him without responding, which led Jay to plead with her not to go. She paused, turned back, and softly caressed his face, creating a brief moment of connection before she tried to leave again. Wu intervened, asking Nya to fight against whatever is influencing her, reminding her of her true self and inner strength. Nya confidently stated that she was connected to the sea. Jay then revealed his love for her, and Nya responded by acknowledging how "the cookie crumbles," sending a message to her mother about acceptance and destiny. She then plunged into the ocean, leaving Jay in anguish as he called for her to come back. Nya lowered the sea level, offering reassurance to Jay and the others about their bond before she descended back into the ocean's depths.

As Jay prepared for Nya's memorial, he gazed at a photo of them together, overwhelmed by sadness. Maya noticed his troubled expression and approached him, asking if he was okay. Jay forced a smile, attributing his tears to dust in his eyes while lamenting the fact that he never got to say goodbye to Nya. Maya admitted she felt the same sorrow about their lost chance for farewell. Jay then shared a message from Nya that mentioned the cookies, a reference that Maya instantly understood. At that moment, Cole and Kai arrived, greeting Jay and Maya, who exchanged a fleeting smile before going their separate ways. As Cole and Jay walked together, Jay pondered whether Skylor and Dareth had heard the news and if they would join the gathering to honor Nya. Their thoughts were interrupted by the sight of a large crowd assembled in the courtyard. Master Wu stepped forward to address everyone, explaining that they had come together to celebrate Nya's legacy. Jay and the others poured water into an urn as a sign of remembrance for Nya, while Cole offered comfort to Jay.

Inside the lighthouse, Jay sees Echo Zane, who does not remember him. Jay tells him about the time that they will spend together. The conversation inspired Echo Zane to go out and become a hero Jay no longer was. Echo Zane then brought Tai-D with him and later was joined by the Falcon on his journey.

Season 15: Crystalized[]

Farewell the Sea[]

A bearded Jay was at Lighthouse Island, mourning the loss of Nya by talking to glasses of water. Kai, Cole, and Zane attempted to recruit him back to the team, but he refuses, thinking most of the people forgot Nya. Before the ninja left, Cole saw something in the Endless Ocean and informed Jay about it. Jay went out and saw candlelights floating on the waters and with messages about Nya. After seeing nobody forgot about Nya and Lloyd deciding to join, the ninja reunited.

The Shape of Nya[]

In the hangar bay, the ninja discuss the Vengestone operations while Jay was lost in thought, staring at his glass of water. Cole pushed the group to reconsider what they know. When Lloyd asked Jay for his thoughts, Jay remained distracted by his water. Cole attempted to pull Jay back into the discussion, but Jay snapped back, questioning the value of their efforts. He mentioned how much he misses Nya, implying that her presence was vital for their teamwork. Kai challenged Jay, pointing out that everyone else, who also missed Nya, was actively contributing while Jay was just sitting there. Jay defended himself, saying he didn't want to be there in the first place. Lloyd proposed a break to relieve the tension, but Jay brushed it off, insisting they had already learned all they can about the Vengestone shipments. Just then, Jay spotted a pizza box with a subway train design and suddenly claimed he might have found a clue.

Jay and the ninja entered the abandoned N line of the subway through a manhole. Jay explained that, unlike the active subway lines, the N line had been out of service for many years, making it a good place to hide. Zane pointed out that city zoning records show the N line was never fully built. Jay speculated that the city might have stopped the construction, but someone else could have finished it. As the ninja reach a dead end, Jay wondered if there could be more to find. Suddenly, they saw a crate shifting behind them, and Cole went over to investigate, discovering a man inside the crate, which is filled with Vengestone. Cole initially thought the man was dead. Just then, the man woke up, surprising Jay and the ninja. The old man greeted them, confusing them for the buyer. At that moment, Miss Demeanor appeared, mocking the ninja. Chaos broke out when Miss Demeanor ordered her henchmen to launch an attack. Jay remarked that they were once again battling henchmen. In the midst of the fight, Cole spun into action using Spinjitzu but accidentally knocked Jay down. As Jay struggled against the henchmen, both he and Lloyd found themselves overpowered by one of the attackers until the New Ninja showed up. The New Ninja swiftly took down Miss Demeanor's henchmen, prompting an annoyed Jay to remind the New Ninja that they had been fighting the henchmen first. Ultimately, the New Ninja managed to defeat Miss Demeanor. When Miss Demeanor and her gang were taken into custody, the New Ninja blamed Jay and his friends for disrupting their schemes. They claimed that if it hadn't been for Jay and the others, they would have successfully captured the Vengestone buyer.

When the ninja returned to the hangar bay, Lloyd felt upset about being replaced and even directed his frustration at Zane. Cole attempted to calm Lloyd down, reassuring him that they were not being replaced and that Zane was indifferent to the situation since he had deactivated his emotion chip. Jay chimed in, mentioning that everyone was dealing with the loss of Nya in their own unique ways. This comment irritated Kai, especially because of Jay's peculiar habit of conversing with water. In the midst of this, Jay accidentally knocked over a glass, leading Jay to a panic as he scrambled to save the spilled water. Frustrated, Jay snapped at Kai, who tried to apologize but was met with a retaliatory kick from Jay. Zane stepped in, urging them to cease their fighting, but Jay shouted that perhaps they should disband as a team, unleashing a bolt of Lightning at Kai. In response, Kai used his fire powers, declaring his resignation as he shot flames at Jay, who narrowly dodged. This incident resulted in the fire destroying Cole's Rock Cycle, which triggered the sprinklers to activate. Wu rushed in, bewildered by the chaos unfolding around him. Suddenly, they noticed the spilled water glowing and shifting, and to their surprise, Nya emerged, urgently asking for Jay's help. She explained that she needed to drain her Elemental Powers to regain her human form, but before she could finish her explanation, Zane froze her in place, which infuriated Jay. Zane calmly justified his actions, stating it was essential to preserve her form. Cole claimed that draining Elemental Powers was an impossible task, but Lloyd pointed out that Kai had previously lost his powers to Aspheera, suggesting that it was not entirely out of the question. Lliyd suggested to search for Aspheera, but Wu interjected with a strong stance, emphasizing the need to find another way. Jay argued that this was the best plan they had to rescue Nya. Wu warned them against trusting Aspheera, stating that freeing her could put lives at risk. Lloyd countered that bringing Nya back would guarantee everyone's safety. Cole reminded the team that this was a crucial decision that needed to be made together. Just as Lloyd was about to ask for a show of hands to support their plan, Jay and the other ninja raised their hands in agreement.

Dragon Form[]

As the Crystal Island drew nearer, Wu revealed to Jay, along with the rest of the Resistance, the true intentions of the Overlord. He explained that the Overlord's ultimate plan was to taint the Elements of Creation, and unfortunately, they were too late to prevent it.

Roots[]

Wu then realized that the only solution to prevent the Overlord from destroying the Balance was to gather the Golden Weapons and unleash their Elemental Powers. Jay was taken aback, recalling how he believed that uniting the Golden Weapons would have dire consequences, as Kai chimed in, mentioning that Wu had warned them about the weapons exploding. Despite their concerns, Wu insisted that this was their only chance to stop the Overlord from preventing him from obtaining the Elements of Creation. With determination, Jay and the rest of the ninja flew to the newspaper warehouse, saluting the end as they united their Golden Weapons and unleashed their Elemental Powers, just as the Overlord began corrupting them.

After the defeat of the Overlord's by Lloyd, Jay and the rest of the ninja were freed from his corruption. Jay woke up and asked about what had transpired, only to find that the Crystal Island had been destroyed, indicating the victory of the Resistance. Lloyd descended on the Golden Ultra Dragon with Garmadon and Harumi to join them, and Jay embraced the Green Ninja until he noticed Harumi, becoming suspicious of her. Lloyd assured them that she was on their side. Jay then noticed the Golden Ultra Dragon and asked if it was what he thought it was. Kai replied that it was their powers, as mentioned by Wu when he informed the consequences of uniting the Golden Weapons. Jay approached the Lightning Dragon and affectionately petted its head. As the dragon vanished, Wu remarked that their powers were returning to their original source. When Kai asked if their powers would ever return, Wu reassured them, stating that true power is never lost. Jay bid farewell to their powers, hoping to see them again soon. Wu announced that they would rebuild Ninjago City, and Jay shared a hug with Nya.

A week later, Jay helped the other ninja rebuild the Monastery, talking to Benthomaar with Nya.

Quest for the Lost Powers[]

Jay and Nya on vacation

Jay standed by a glass door, staring out at the lush jungle beyond. He was lost in his thoughts. Nya called out to him, but he remained unresponsive. It was only when she raised her voice that he finally snapped out of his reverie, offering a weak smile. Nya urged him to join her, emphasizing that the vacation was meant to be a much-needed escape after their battle with the Overlord. Jay confessed to feeling like a part of him was missing, comparing it to the void he felt when he thought about his mother giving him up for adoption. Although he loved Ed and Edna dearly, there was always a lingering sense of longing for his biological mother. Nya empathized with his feelings, understanding that the loss of his powers had left a similar void within him. As they both stood by the balcony doors, Nya offered her support, assuring Jay that she understood his struggle. She reminded him that the vacation was also an opportunity for them to adjust and find solace in each other's company. Nya wanted Jay feel like himself again, and noticed that he hadn't made any of his usual jokes since they left the Monastery. Jay was surprised to hear this and asked if his jokes were bad. Nya encouraged him to take a walk around the resort and explore. She suggested that he try not to think about his birth mother or his powers, and promised that they would hit the buffet when he returned. Jay was hesitant to go outside and explore, gesturing to the dense foliage outside their room. Nya reassured him that he didn't have to venture into the jungle and that the beach was on the opposite side of the resort. She urged him to stay on the hotel grounds and promised that he would be safe. As Jay walked towards the door, Nya reminded him to come back and not run off to become a hermit again. Jay joked that he had already done that, but then asked if his paintings were bad. Nya laughed and told him to go on ahead. Jay smiled and walked out of the room, feeling a little more at ease.

After five minutes, Jay got lost in the middle of the jungle. He had been taking a walk around the resort's swimming pool, but somehow he had managed to wander off the path and into the dense foliage. He strained his ears, hoping to hear some sound that would lead him back to the hotel, but all he could hear was the rustling of leaves and the occasional chirping of birds. Jay couldn't help but feel frustrated with himself for getting lost so easily. He had been trying to clear his mind, but instead, he found himself dwelling on his own personal struggles. He couldn't stop thinking about his lost powers and the reasons why his mother had given him up. As he looked around at the endless sea of greenery, he couldn't help but feel a sense of hopelessness wash over him. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. He reminded himself that he was on an island and that if he walked in a straight line, he would eventually reach the coastline. With renewed determination, Jay set off into the jungle, hoping to find his way back to the hotel. However, Jay's misfortune led him to fall into a deep hole, get stung by gnats, and be chased by wild boars after stepping on a pile of leaves. Despite his efforts to remain calm, he became more entangled and was on the verge of giving up hope until he heard footsteps approaching. He cried out for help and was surprised to find that Unagami had come to his rescue after the rescuer hacked through the vines.
