Jenny Nived[1] is the mother of Arin and the wife of Barry. Along with her husband, she disappeared during the Merge and was reassigned to the Land of Lee by the Administration.
History[]
Background[]
Some years before the Merge, she got married to Barry and they had Arin, and lived in a small neighborhood with them. Arin was a fan of the ninja and dreamed of becoming one, which both she and Barry seemingly supported. Jenny taught Arin how to bake, and whenever he was sad, she would make him a pie.[2] They would also get together and play detective games.
Inside the Maze (flashback)[]
One day, Jenny and Arin were sitting on a swing at their house. As she reads him a book about detectives, she asks him a question, before praising him after he gets it right.

The Merge: Part 1 (flashback)[]
Jenny and Barry watch their son practice his skills on the gate before the Merge began to occur. As they head inside, Arin's mother tells him to get inside as well, but it was too late. When the Merge concluded, Arin's neighborhood had seemingly vanished, along with his parents.
The Power Within[]
While rescuing citizens of the Crossroads, Arin sees his parents through a rift. They see him as the rift closes, but for a moment, they saw their son as a ninja, becoming aware of his dream becoming a reality.
Prior to The Shape of Motion[]
At some point, Jenny and her husband were reassigned by the Department of Reassignment, where they ended up in the Land of Lee.[3]

Inside, he encountered a haunting illusion of his parents. Despite his desperate efforts to reach them, he found himself unable to do so. His mother questioned why he had abandoned them, pondering if the ninja had taken their place as his new family. Arin's heart filled with anguish as he cried out, only to witness his parents vanish into thin air.
The Forest of Spirits[]
After Arin gets knocked out by Ras in the Forest of Spirits, he hallucinates his parents approaching him.
