Jiro is a Lightning Dragon, who was captured by the Claws of Imperium, but was freed by the Ninja. He decided to stay in the Dragon stables under the Monastery of Spinjitzu where he became one of the Ninja's dragons and came under the ownership of Nya.
History[]
Dragons Rising, Season 1[]
Return to Imperium[]
Jiro flew by the Crossroads' junkyard as he tried to escape from Rapton and the Claws of Imperium until he was restrained by them. As the ninja arrived, Jiro watched them battle the Claws of Imperium. When Lloyd threw his golden sword at one of the ropes that held the dragon, Jiro shot Lightning at Rapton, causing him to knock against a trash heap as a car fell on top of him.
The Claw Hunters continue to pin Jiro down until the ninja stopped them. However, Jiro was still weak from the battle. To distract the ninja, Rapton used a Photac, buying him and the Claw Hunters enough time to capture Jiro.
Mindless Beasts[]
Jiro was freed from his cell by Lloyd and Wyldfyre.
I Will Be the Danger[]
Jiro joined Wyldfyre and Heatwave in their fight against the Imperium Guards until they escaped through the hatch in the Imperium Prison. While trying to fly away, Jiro was obstructed by the kingdom's electric barrier. He regrouped with the others and fought their way through the main gates, where they confronted the Claws of Imperium and their Photacs. Wyldfyre decided to fight for the dragons' freedom, and Jiro and the dragons fought back against the Photacs.
The Calm Inside[]
Jiro continued to engage in combat against the Claws and their Photacs, utilizing his tail to strike one of them. However, a Photac launched a missile towards Jiro. In middle of the battle, Jiro then began to attack the Imperium Guards by seizing one of them and hurling them at a security camera. Jiro engaged in combat with the Photacs again, but found himself overpowered as the Claws of Imperium gained the upper hand against the dragons. Jiro was targeted by another missile and subsequently pinned down by one of the Photacs. Upon conceiving a plan to assault the Imperium Palace, Lloyd captured Jiro's attention. Lloyd mounted Jiro and the dragons launched an attack on the palace. As Beatrix and Ras arrived, Jiro and the others continued to attack the Claws of Imperium until the Monastery of Imperium emerged from the ground.
The Battle of the Second Monastery[]
Jiro continued to battle the Claws of Imperium. When Wyldfyre communicated with the other dragons, he caused a distraction for the Claws by blasting Lord Ras with his lightning breath. Then he went with the other dragons into the Monastery of Imperium where they waited until Lloyd activated the portal gate. He then went through the portal gate to the Monastery of Spinjitzu.
The Temple of the Dragon Cores[]
Nya rode Jiro when he assist the Ninja at the Crossroads to close a MergeQuake rift. Afterwards, Jiro was among the dragons who decided to stay in the Monastery of Spinjitzu.
Nya rode Jiro to the Temple of the Dragon Cores, where he fell asleep while waiting for Zane to find a solution to open the door to the temple. After the Ninja entered the temple, Jiro and the other dragons fell asleep as they waited outside.
Wyldly Inappropriate[]
Nya rode Jiro while Sora rode Zanth as they searched for the Yellow Dragon Core. Upon their arrival to the Pinnacle of Crystals, however, they discovered that the core was gone.
The Last Djinn[]
Jiro was waiting with Zanth when Nya and Sora had an unsuccessful attempt at using the Seeker Stones. When two Howlers came out of the burial vault, Jiro attempted to fight them off. When the Howlers gained the upper hand, Jiro picked up Nya and flew off where they ran into a sanctum that belonged to Arrakore. When Arrakore explained the existence and purpose of the Howlers to the group, Jiro's interest was piqued and he leaned in closer to listen intently. When the Howlers tracked Nya and Sora and arrived moments later, Jiro attempted to fight them off, managing to blast and temporarily stun one of them. Later, when Jiro and Zanth tried to charge at the two Howlers, they both were blasted into a wall by the Howlers' sonic screams. After the battle, Jiro and Zanth settled down to rest, patiently waiting for Arrakore to awaken from his sleep.
They Call It Doom[]
Once Arrakore conjured a arrowhead to guide the Ninja to the Dragon Core, Jiro took off again and landed in the Land of Lost Things where they ran into the Finders and Nya's teammate, Cole.
Land of Lost Things[]
After escaping from the Hoarder, Jiro flew to Rookery with Nya, Cole and Geo on his back. When Nya and Cole went looking for an influx stabilizer, Nya heard Jiro's roar and discovered that he had been ambushed by some Imperium Drones. Nya and Cole were then ambushed by the Hoarder. While Cole distracted the Hoarder, Nya went to help Jiro. Nya managed to take out the drones and Jiro flew off to pick up Cole and retreat. Upon returning to the Rookery, Jiro flew in just in time to save Geo who was free falling after an attempt to stop one of the drones from taking the Dragon Core. Jiro then freed Zanth from the force-field and rammed the Hoarder before being ordered by Cole to pursue Dr. LaRow. Despite his and Nya's best efforts however, LaRow was ultimately able to escape.
Absolute Power[]
Sora used her Technology to craft weaponized armor to amplify Jiro's natural energy enough to blast through the energy barrier around Imperium. Once the armor was completed, Jiro expressed his satisfaction with a nudge, and Nya climbed onto the armor to ride alongside Jiro, departing the Land of Lost Things shortly thereafter.
We Are All Dragons[]
Jiro arrived at Imperium alongside Zanth, Nya, Sora, and Riyu. Although the armor's blasters alone were unable to breach the barrier, they managed to weaken it enough for Jiro to use a blast of lightning to fully disable the barrier so that he and his allies could join in on the fight on the ground, tackling Beatrix and her Empress Mech. Jiro briefly went toe-to-toe with the Empress Mech, with Zanth joining in, while Jiro told Riyu to tell the Ninja to escape. As the fight continued, Jiro used his blasters to knock Beatrix's mech into several buildings and saved Zanth from being restrained by the Claw hunters. As the battle progressed to sundown, Jiro tried to warn Zanth that Beatrix was behind her, but the warning came too late and Beatrix knocked Zanth out before turning her attention to Jiro, knocking him to the ground before hoisting him up by the neck. Jiro watched in horror as Beatrix raised her mech's massive sword overhead and swung downwards, slicing off one of his armor's blasters. After defeating Jiro and Zanth, Beatrix ordered the Claws to take both dragons to the Imperium Prison to be drained of their energy while she set off to defeat the Ninja. The Claws however, would never get the chance to deliver the dragons, as they would be confronted not long after by a mob of Imperian citizens, outraged over Beatrix's lies and the truth over their kingdom's treatment of dragons. The mob scared off many of the hunters, hurling rocks at them, and freeing Jiro and Zanth,
The Power Within[]
Jiro helped save Imperians from the MergeQuakes created by Beatrix. After Beatrix's defeat and the beginning of the MergeQuake Storm, Jiro flew with the Ninja to the Crossroads to unite the Dragon Cores. After the end of MergeQuake Storm, Jiro had a race with Heatwave and Zanth.
Dragons Rising, Season 2[]
To Mysterium[]
Cole, Zane, and Bonzle set out to reach Mysterium with guidance from Jiro. But Zane's data banks did not have reliable maps of the post-Merged World. The trio then left Jiro to search for Fedulian at Crossroads, returning with fake maps that led Jiro, Cole, Zane, and Bonzle towards Mysterium. However, Jiro fell victim to a poisonous cloud, revealing the map's inaccuracy. Despite this setback, Zane remained confident in the map until its trail disappeared. Undaunted, Jiro, Cole, Zane, and Bonzle persisted in following the map's obscure path to confirm its destination at Mysterium.
After successfully navigating a hazardous poison cloud, Jiro used his wings to shield his friends from the scorching sun. However, their moment was interrupted when they encountered Dorama's puppet, which attacked them near a well. Jiro defended his friends but was overpowered and captured alongside them. They later woke up in a Dorama's Academy for Acting and found confused algae farmers and Crossroad citizens. It was then that Dorama, the orchestrator of their predicament, revealed himself and expressed his desire for revenge against any ninja. Jiro protected the innocent residents while Cole, Zane, and Bonzle worked to break free. Eventually, they disabled the barrier with Bonzle's help and Jiro led the citizens to safety. They then faced off against Dorama and his Imperium Drones, with Jiro's skills allowing him to rescue the algae farmers and Crossroad citizens. After defeating Dorama and apprehending him, Jiro and his companions set their sights on Mysterium, guided by Dorama's map. They entered a mysterious portal and emerged at the Monastery of Mysterium.
Fugitives From Madness[]
Jiro waited outside as Cole, Zane, and Bonzle explored the Monastery of Mysterium. They planned to use Jiro for travel to the magical storagehouse at the Wyldness, but the Administration Agents arrived and impounded Jiro, fully restraining him.
Secrets of the Wyldness[]
After the Administration Agents' defeat, Jiro was released from his muzzle and briefly growled at an Agent who landed beside him. Afterwards, he alongside Cole, Zane, and Gandalaria quickly found Bonzle and went to the Wyldness to find the Magical storagehouse. Upon spotting the Cloud Kingdom, Cole asked Jiro to stay low. Upon arriving in the Wyldness, Jiro, Cole, Zane, Gandalaria, and Bonzle immediately hid in the underbrush to avoid being detected by a passing patrol of Wolf Mask Warriors. After the patrol left, Cole asked Jiro to stay hidden while the rest of the group searched for the storagehouse.
Enter the City of Temples[]
Jiro flew Lloyd to the Training plateau of the Dragon Masters for the latter to visit Zane, who was training with Rontu and Egalt, and to ask the Dragon Masters to be their mentor in the Tournament of the Sources that they were about to enter. On the way to the plateau, Jiro had carried on his head, the stew Wyldfyre made for Egalt.
Later Jiro, Zanth, and Heatwave ferried the ninja to the Dragon Stone Shrine to enter the Tournament of the Sources, with Jiro carrying Nya and Lloyd on his back. After the Ninja were denied entrance, they decided to forcibly enter the City of Temples by flying on the dragons' backs, being confronted by Security Bots in the process. Jiro and his allies fought against the Security Bots, before suggesting to Lloyd for the Ninja to finish climbing to the the city by using their Dragon Hooks, while the dragons covered for them. As the Ninja climbed, Jiro notably blasted a security bot with a bolt of lightning and returned to the Monastery[1] alongside Zanth and Heatwave after finishing off the Security Bots.
