Korgran is a member of the Upply who is from Metalonia.
History[]
Background[]
Korgran had spent years committing himself to the demanding training necessary to join the barbarian tribe. Unfortunately, he unintentionally attacked two of his comrades. In his pursuit of embracing the true nature of a barbarian, he developed the habit of speaking in the third person.[1]
One day, Korgran confronted a lizard beast head-on, refusing to back down despite the relentless slaps from its tail. Believing in his own invincibility, he launched a forceful punch towards his adversary, confident that no creature could withstand his might. However, the lizard beast proved to be more agile than anticipated, evading Korgran's attack and swiftly overpowering him, pinning him down. Korgran seized the opportunity presented by the lizard beast's elongated tongue. With swift and calculated movements, he skillfully grabbed the lizard's tongue, expertly tying it up and effectively immobilizing the creature.[1]
On his way back home, Korgran excitedly announced his return to his father, presenting him with the lizard beast as evidence of his accomplishments. However, Korgran's father clarified that the lizard beast was his Division Manager of Plundering named Ross. Korgran inquired his axe, wondering why it hadn't notified him about Ross earlier. The axe replied with astonishment, admitting that Korgran had mistakenly defeated the wrong person. Korgran's father intervened, disbelieving that Korgran was still conversing with his axe, emphasizing that it was all a product of Korgran's imagination. Korgran apologized to his father, acknowledging his shame for his actions. Korgran's father addressed the issue, emphasizing that attacking allies repeatedly is unacceptable, despite the importance of completing quests. Korgran justified his actions by explaining that all his friends have already completed quests, leaving him with no good quests to pursue. Korgran received news from his father about the final quest, as Vangelis had called for him to come to the Kingdom of Shintaro, but it will be challenging. Korgran insisted that he won't be alone as he will have his axe, although he quickly clarified that it is a normal axe that doesn't talk, in response to his father's disapproving glare.[1]
Upon reaching the Kingdom of Shintaro, Korgran encountered Fungus and Plundar, who had also been called upon for the same mission. Vangelis appointed the three of them to recover the Skull of Hazza D'ur, an exceedingly perilous artifact located in the Dungeons of Shintaro, with the intention of destroying it. The journey began at a leisurely pace, but soon took an unexpected turn when the trio stumbled upon a horde of giant spiders. However, thanks to Fungus' magic, all the spiders, except for Adam, were swiftly frozen. Adam soon joined their team, and together they skillfully navigated through a series of booby traps. Finally, their perseverance paid off as they discovered the Skull of Hazza D'ur. Korgran's encounter with the skull had a profound effect on him, tempting him to let go of it before it corrupted him entirely. Korgran, recognizing the immense power of the skull, made the decision to secure it to his axe and return it to the kingdom. He expressed his strong desire to be granted the honor of destroying the malevolent skull, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to eradicating its evil presence. However, Vangelis held a different perspective and suggested that the great power possessed by the skull could be harnessed to benefit the Kingdom of Shintaro. Disagreeing with this notion, the Lowly insisted that the skull must be destroyed, with Korgran emphasizing how he personally felt the dark power emanating from it. Eventually, Vangelis reluctantly acknowledged that all three of them shared the same sentiment and agreed to their collective stance. In a surprising turn of events, Vangelis decided to trap them all in Rock-Bottom by sending them down the Pit.[1]
Master of the Mountain[]
The Real Fall[]
At Rock-Bottom, Korgran spots Cole before he passes out.
Dungeon Party![]
The Lowly introduce themselves to Cole, Wu, and Vania. Realizing they are adventurers, Cole asks if they can go on another quest, but they back down. Korgran then explains their story.
After he is done, Cole promises they will get out of this situation and he renames the group the "Upply".
Dungeon Crawl![]
Fungus and the Upply explore the caverns to find a way out, but they don't find anything. When Cole discovers his Elemental Energy, the Upply follow Cole as they swim out of Rock-Bottom and find themselves at a lava stream.
While crossing, they encounter a Lava Monster. Korgran uses his axe to cut the tentacles, but more grow in replacement. However, Fungus uses his Magic to freeze the beast, which gives time for Adam to push a boulder on top of the Magma Monster.
Masters Never Quit[]
Korgran and the Upply are chased by the Magma Monster. They find some mine carts and decide to ride it, ending up at the Heart of the Mountain. Korgran and the Lowly explore the ancient temple and discover Cole's mother performed the Spinjitzu Burst. The Upply watch Cole try to perform it, but he fails at it.
The Ascent[]
Korgran helps attach wheels to the Stone Mech and ride in one of the mine carts while Cole uses the mech to push the carts. During their ride, the Upply encounter the Magma Monster and Dire Bats, so Korgran uses his axe to ward off the attacks. When Cole is too busy fighting the Magma Monster, the mine carts are about to head into the lava, but Cole saves everyone and they reach the Kingdom of Shintaro. The Upply then cheer and chant "Upply".
The Upply head to the throne room and free Chompy. They then encounter Hailmar and the Army of Shintaro, who demand Cole's arrest. However, they resist and Cole and the Upply flee.
The Upply Strike Back![]
Fungus, Cole, and the rest of the Upply discover the ninja locked in a cage while the Geckles and Munce are back working. Cole assigns Fungus and Korgran to liberate everyone.
Korgran punches an Awakened Warrior attempting to whip Murtessa. Fungus then gives her the keys and tells everyone to free themselves when they give the signal.
As Cole is fighting the Skull Sorcerer, Fungus and Korgran jump into action. They tell the Geckles and Munce to free themselves so they could join in.
The Son of Lilly[]
Korgran helps the Upply, Geckles, Munce, and ninja fight the Awakened Warriors. Although they are overwhelmed, Vania and the Winged Guards of Shintaro aid them as well. Cole then unlocks the Spinjitzu Burst, destroying the Awakened Warriors and Grief-Bringer and leaving Vangelis to be arrested by his former guards.
Korgran watches Vania be crowned queen and promises equality for everyone. Korgran then says farewell to Cole as he leaves.

Roots[]
Korgran and the rest of the Resistance watched the Dragon Formed ninja from unleashing a golden blast from the Golden Weapons against the Crystal Island, until all of Ninjago was crystalized. After the Overlord was defeated, Korgran, along with the Resistance, celebrated their victory, and they later all helped the ninja rebuild the Monastery of Spinjitzu.

Behind the scenes[]
- His theme song and title card transitions are a direct reference to 80's animation and cartoons, specifically that of the original He-Man cartoon, although his name and character design somewhat resemble that of Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian.[citation needed]
- He uses design elements of characters from LEGO's Minifigures theme:
- His torso design, sans the armor and scratch mark, is based on that of the Surfer's from Series 2.
- He appears to have the same hair as the Wrestling Champion from Series 15 but with his added metal headband.
- He also reuses Vinny's face with a scar added.
Trivia[]
- He is the second character from Metalonia, the first being Karlof.
- Both speak with a Russian accent.
- He is the fourth character to only speak in third-person, the others being Karlof, Ghoultar and Murt.
- However, unlike the others, Korgran only speaks in third-person to make himself sound more barbaric.[1]
