Kur[2][3] is a member of the Forbidden Five and the Elemental Master of an unknown element. For millennia, Kur and their fellow members were confined within the Nether-Space. During the Ritual of the Blood Moon, Ras planned to free all five members as part of his grand scheme, orchestrating their participation in the Tournament of the Sources. However, his plan yielded only partial success; while Nokt was liberated, along with the unintentional release of Rox's soul, Kur, Zarkt, and Drix remained bound in their imprisonment.

Throughout the course of the tournament, Kur and the other imprisoned members managed to establish a form of communication with Nokt and Rox by using Rox's body, while on the look out for Kai and Bonzle. Ultimately, as the tournament ended, Nokt successfully facilitated the release of Kur and the remaining members, though they emerged in a weakened condition due to the method of their release. United, Kur and the others used a portal gate to flee to the Cloud Kingdom, subsequently obliterating the portal gate to secure their passage into another realm.

History

Background

Originally an average Elemental Master from the Wyldness, Kur ultimately became a key member of the Forbidden Five, an alliance formed alongside four other Elemental Masters. Together, they established the Wolf Clan, where they collectively devised ancient martial arts and mystical practices that they shared with the wolf warriors, ushering the clan into a golden age.[4] However, the very powers that Kur and their companions had harnessed began to taint their souls, gradually eroding their innate virtues and transforming the clan into harbingers of chaos.[5][6] Using Shatterspin, they unleashed widespread destruction throughout the Wyldness, imposing their tyrannical rule and forcing the local populace to either submit or perish.[7]

One day at the Shadow Dojo, Kur and the Forbidden Five convened with the wolf warriors as Nokt returned from a violent campaign against a tiger tribe, where they were coerced into submission or death. Among them, a survivor named Zarkar demanded a reason for their merciless conduct, eliciting derisive laughter from Kur and their allies. Rox defended their brutal actions as a demonstration of power, while she and Nokt incited Kur and the others to prepare for further devastation across the other realms, a course of action that would ultimately lead to their undoing.[7][8] Momentarily, the Dragon Masters, Egalt and Rontu, intervened, countering the Forbidden Five's Shatterspin with Rising Dragon technique. The Dragon Masters triumphed, banishing Kur and the rest of the Five to the Nether-Space through a powerful spell for millennia.[9]

Rising Ninja

During the Ritual of the Blood Moon, when Jordana opened the gateway to the Nether-Space, Kur and the rest of the Forbidden Five gathered before the portal and watched as Nokt stepped forward to await a sacrifice.

Inside the Maze

Kur contacted Nokt and Rox as them, Zarkt, and Drix remained stuck in Nether-Space.

The Sword Shatters

Kur is seen arguing with Zarkt until Drix steps in and breaks them up. They then leave the area, with Kur and Zarkt carrying Rox's soulless body (since she had escaped by transferring her soul into Jordana's body during the Ritual of the Blood Moon).

The Final Game

Kur stood alongside Zarkt and Drix to communicate with Nokt and Rox. The three stopped for a moment when they heard a sound, and Zarkt went to investigate, but found nothing. The three then continued to communicate with Nokt and Rox.

Elements of Betrayal

Despite some interference from the ninja, Roby, and Ras, Nokt is able to free Kur and the other members of the Forbidden Five, as well as Rox's physical body, from the Nether-Space. However, he and the others were weakened from the corrupted method used. Kur soon recovered and the Forbidden Five fled through a gate to the Cloud Kingdom, but they and the other members destroyed the gate to prevent them from being followed. Due to their actions, they were sent to another realm.

Appearance

Kur has mint green skin with teal markings partially covered in bandages that have gold ghostly patterns, giving him a similar appearance to that of a mummy. They wear a Sandogasa hat like Rox, but is light brown, and brown shoulder pads with small spikes. They also wear a ragged, rust colored coat with the right sleeve completely torn off to expose their right arm, dark brown pants that are ripped on the knees, and a dark red rope-like belt wrapped around the top of them. The back of their coat has a white logo outlined in black that appears to be the symbol of the Forbidden Five.

Trivia

  • They and Rox are the only members of the Forbidden Five who share the same type of headwear, both sporting a sandogasa hat, which has never appeared in the show prior to their appearances. While the hats of the Forbidden Five help to identify each member when cloaked, the two can be told apart by their height, as Rox stands out as the only member with a posable short-leg piece.
  • Among the Forbidden Five, Kur is the one who has stayed the most mysterious for the longest time. They are the last to have their gender, specific appearance, and name revealed. Alongside Rox, Kur is one of the two whose Elemental Power remains unknown. They are also one of the two whose species is still unknown together with Zarkt.
