LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed is a LEGO strategic roleplay freemium game released in 2019, but released globally on February 27, 2020. Currently it is owned by Netflix, and you must have a Netflix account to play. Many characters from Ninjago appear in this game.

It is a strategic role-play game.
The game's gameplay features characters that are unlocked by collecting "Codex Tiles."
The ninja make appearances in the game in the game's story in Chapter 4 of Glyph Hunt and Chapter 6 of Glyph Hunt. They also have two events in which they allow the player to unlock tiles for Jay (in his Digi suit), Cole, and Misako. Master Wu also has a master event where the player has to unlock Wu by defeating levels using Pirates.

- Twelve characters represent the Ninjago class: Kai, Nya, Lloyd, Zane, Jay, Cole, Master Wu, Garmadon, Misako and Great White.
- There is also a class named "Garma. Army," short for Garmadon Army.
- Kai and Zane are in their Stone Armor outfits, Lloyd and Nya are in their Deepstone suits, Wu is in his Temple of Airjitzu outfit from 70751 Temple of Airjitzu, Cole is in his Core suit, and Jay is in his Digi outfit.
- Jay and Great White were released slightly later than the other ninja, in late 2020. Cole and Misako were released even later, in March 2022.
- In Lego Legacy, Jay, Nya, and Wu are supports, Cole and Lloyd are tanks, Misako, Kai, Zane, Garmadon, and Great White are attackers.
- Cole's Trivia erroneously states that Cole is exclusive to the Ninja Ultra Combo Mech, despite him also being featured in the Ninja Dojo Temple
- Cole and Kai share animations in-battle
- Jay, Cole, and Misako are event characters, unlocked by obtaining 115 tiles, 65 tiles, and 115 tiles respectively.
- Three Ninjago sets are available within the Piptown Neighborhoods as ‘power-ups’: 70756 Dojo Showdown, 71711 Jay's Cyber Dragon and 70732 City of Stiix.
- There is also one other destroyed Ninjago set but this is inaccessible at the moment. Judging by it’s appearance, it is 70612 Green Ninja Mech Dragon.
- It was originally worked on by Gameloft Toronto, but due to unavailability, it was moved to Gameloft Ukraine.
- On January 28, 2023, the game announced that the game would be removed from game stores on February 28, 2023, and only be playable through Facebook Gaming until December 31, 2023
