- This article is about the element used by Mr. Pale. For the elemental essence referred to by the same name, see Golden Power.
Light is an Elemental Power in the Merged Realms that is derived from the Source Dragon of Energy.[1] It is associated with the color white or is colorless, and corresponds with the Light Dragon.
Users' abilities[]
- Photokinesis - The user can create, project, shape, absorb, and manipulate visible light.
- Light Refracting Body/Photokinetic Invisibility - The user can manipulate light in order to refract it through their body and make part or all of themselves invisible, including their clothes.
- Photo-Ergokinesis - As demonstrated by Mr. Pale, the user can manipulate and generate energy made of light.
- Photokinetic Attacks - The user can attack with light.
- Photokinetic Blasts - As seen in "Truth and Lies", the user can release a powerful blast of light.
- Photokinetic Beam Emission - The user can release beams of light, such as when Mr. Pale used it to briefly blind Lloyd and when Chen used the Staff of Elements to steal Skylor and Lloyd's Elemental Powers by shooting a beam of light to weaken them.
- Photokinetic Wave Emission - As seen during Mr. Pale’s match against Lloyd in “Truths and Lies”, users can release waves of light.
- Light Strike/Pressure - Also as seen in "Truths and Lies", the user can seemingly use light to power a strike or repel opponents.
- Blindness Inducement - The user can induce temporary blindness in other beings.
- Photoportation - The user can possibly teleport/disappear using light.[3]
- Absolute Light - The user can create a field of absolute light that briefly blinds the opponent.
- Dragon Creation - The user can create a Light Dragon.
Weaknesses[]
- Invisibility Limitation/Corrosive substances - Light invisibility is not foolproof, as it has been discovered that materials like dust and dirt can expose the invisible person, such as when Cole was able to render Mr. Pale visible by knocking dirt onto him, or when Lloyd used Spinjitzu to create dust on the Master of Light. Others can also use different methods to locate the invisible user, such as echolocation.
Symbol[]
Light does not have a distinct symbol. Mr. Pale's symbol may qualify as the plain medallion he wears. In the Tournament of the Sources, Mr. Pale's symbol on the back of his jacket appears to be a windy breeze.

Trivia[]
- Skylor used a fusion of Light and Shadow in "Radio Free Ninjago" to help the Resistance avoid Garmadon.
- Light is one of two known elements to passively affect the user's appearance, the other being Decay, which makes the user's body decompose.
- Chris "Doc" Wyatt found the idea of Light being used to manipulate a Photac to be interesting.[4]
- It is unclear why characters like Lloyd and Nokt didn't have their physical appearances passively affected by the element while they were briefly the masters of it during the Tournament of the Sources.
- Similarly, it is unknown why Mr. Pale remained invisible in Season 4 during the brief time Chen took his power. However, it is possible that a small portion of Light still remained in Mr. Pale at that time, similar to how the four original Ninja still had some power (channeled by the Techno Blades) even after giving their elements to Lloyd so that he could in turn obtain the Golden Power.
