The following is a list of all instances censorship that took place in some countries due to certain aspects of an episode or line in the Ninjago TV series.

Ninjago[]

Season 1: Rise of the Snakes[]

Home[]

  • In the US/Canadian version, Zane left a message in the fridge. However, in the variable language variation, he is actually sitting inside the fridge when responding to Kai's reaction. The Netflix version shows the latter.
    • In the UK TV Broadcast, the fridge scene was cut entirely.

Never Trust a Snake[]

  • When Jay is in the elevator, "School Sucks!" and "LEROY LOVES JOANA," and "CRUZ666" are written on the left panel. However, in alternate versions, the left panel is marked up with scribbles and gibberish.

The Snake King[]

  • In the UK, Australian and Russian TV Broadcasts, the scene where Jay dresses in a feminine outfit and lies on a train track was removed.

The Rise of the Great Devourer[]

  • While in the DVD version of the episode, Pythor tells the Tour Guide to "Shut up and drive!," in the TV version, this line is replaced with the words "Quiet! Let's go, boys."
    • Michael Dobson, Pythor's voice actor, stated that he recorded both lines during the same recording, with the intention of using a "softer" line for the TV version, as then parents don't always know what their child is watching, whereas parents who buy DVDs mostly know what they are buying.[1]

Season 2: Legacy of the Green Ninja[]

Darkness Shall Rise[]

  • In the UK TV Broadcast, the scene with Acidicus' line "We haven't given you your tip" is cut.

Season 3: Rebooted[]

The Titanium Ninja[]

  • In the UK TV Broadcast, Cryptor's line "That little piece of scrap isn't even fit to tighten my bolts" was cut.
  • In the German such as the Japanese episode[ Clarify ], it's edited so Zane has no flashbacks and dies earlier in the battle.

Season 4: Tournament of Elements[]

Spellbound[]

The Corridor of Elders[]

  • In Germany the scene where Skales gets almost run over by a Condrai Crusher gets cut in some versions like the Toggo one.

Season 5: Possession[]

Winds of Change[]

  • In the Australian version of the episode, Jay's line, "Whoa, Lloyd's gone through puberty!" was cut.
  • In the Turkish version of the episode, Lloyd's scream that the police heard when Morro possessed Lloyd in the museum scene was cut.

Season 6: Skybound[]

My Dinner With Nadakhan[]

  • In the UK TV Broadcast, Cole's line "gone one day and I already miss him spazzing out." was edited to "gone one day and I already miss him."

Season 8: Sons of Garmadon[]

Game of Masks[]

  • Harumi's line "It would've already been mine had your idiot friends not stolen Wu from us" had the word "idiot" removed after the first airing in some countries.
  • In the original Australian Broadcast, Wu throwing a wrench at Chopper Maroon's crotch was cut.

Season 9: Hunted[]

Iron & Stone[]

  • In some countries, the scene where Mr. E was disassembled was cut from the episode.

Saving Faith[]

  • When Luke Cunningham asks Killow what happened to Mystake in the German dub, he claims "She disappeared after the battle with the emperor" instead of her death.

Season 11: Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu[]

Never Trust a Human[]

  • "Aspheera, you idiot!" was replaced with "Aspheera, you fool!" in the US version.

Season 12: Prime Empire[]

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back[]

  • The episode was never aired in Russian or Malaysia due to a pair of dancers during the Terra Technica Dance-Off being treated as a lesbian couple.
    • But it turned out that the episode with a couple of dancers was shown on Russian television.

Season 13: Master of the Mountain[]

The Ascent[]

  • In the Taiwanese Broadcast, the split second when the Stone Mech stabbed through the Lava Monster was cut out.
    • However, the same scene was not cut from the intro sequence of the next episode.

Season 15: Crystalized[]

Farewell the Sea[]

  • In the Taiwanese Broadcast, Miss Demeanor's line "Are you flippin' kidding me?" was removed.

  • In the Chinese broadcast, the LGBTQIA+ pride flag on the back of Sally's van is gone.

The Fifth Villain[]

  • In the Chinese broadcast, the crosswalk in Ninjago City is white instead of the LGBTQIA+ rainbow colors.

Return to Primeval's Eye[]

  • In the Chinese broadcast, the scene where Harumi points her sword at Lloyd's head is cut, with her line shortened from "See? That's why you lose, Lloyd. Because you're gullible and-" to "You're gullible and-".

Roots[]

  • In the German dub, Garmadon tells Lloyd "I'm tired son, I have to lay down." instead of his "dying".
    • Later when Garmadon is okay, Lloyd gets angry at Garmadon because he faked being tired.
