This article is about a subject that is relevant to the storyline of both the Ninjago TV franchise and the LEGO Movie franchise. Information may be more directed toward one continuity than the other.

The following is a list of general foods that have appeared in the Ninjago franchise. Some foods are variations unique to the Ninjago world, while others are additionally documented as weapons in sets.

Alcohol[]

Alcohol is a beverage in Ninjago that has an impairing effect on its users.

History[]

Pirates vs. Ninja (flashback)[]

A drunken pirate on Destiny's Bounty sat in a barrel and knocked over a bottle of alcohol before telling Captain Soto that No-Eyed Pete was steering the ship.

Prior to Possession[]

One night, Ronin became drunk at a bar and was later approached by Soul Archer (using the pseudonym "Sultan Archron"), who offered him another drink. Taking advantage of his inebriated state, Soul Archer tricked Ronin into making a trade that involved his soul.[1]

On a Wish and a Prayer[]

The ninja encountered a drunken Ship Captain who held an empty alcohol flask.

Way of the Departed[]

During his time in Nom, Ronin noted that his investors are slightly intoxicated, which was useful for him. He later noted that the investors were "too tired and too tipsy" to be thinking about money at the moment.

Books[]

Trivia[]

  • Bars such as Yang Tavern, Biker Tavern, and Laughy's presumably sell alcohol, but this is never shown or stated in the TV series, because Ninjago is made for children. As such, other drinks such as juice (in "The Invitation") and boba tea (in "The Oni and the Dragon" and "Ninjago Confidential") are shown or mentioned instead.
  • The alcohol drank by the Ship Captain appears to be the same brand of alcohol drank by the drunken pirate on the Destiny's Bounty, as both flasks have an apple on the logo and are the same shape.
  • Based on the apple logo, it can be assumed that alcoholic beverages in Ninjago are a type of cider.

After The Merge, a village that specializes in the cultivation of algae fell under the control of the Ocean gang and the Crab monster. The gang managed to drive out the village's inhabitants by breaking off a portion of their floating village and forcing them out to sea. With the village now under the control of the Ocean gang, the Crab monster was able to freely feast on the algae that had been cultivated by the farmers.

Gangs of the Sea[]

One evening, after driving out a pair of interlopers, members of the Ocean gang were seen passing around plates of algae.

Following the defeat of the Crab monster, the algae farmers resumed their cultivation operations, with one farmer being seen working alongside a member of the Ocean gang to harvest algae.

When Nya realized he just wanted to play, she threw a coconut and Zippy, as they called the dragon, ran after it and quickly brought it back. However, realizing that they had a more important task, Nya threw a coconut deep into the jungle and Zippy ran after him while the ninja left. Later, when they were deeper in the jungle, the coconut fell from the tree to Kai's katana. Cole was glad he could finally have a drink, but when Zippy reappeared and licked the coconut, Cole told him he could keep.

The Gift of Jay[]

When Lloyd was about to save the ninja from the Keepers' Village, Zippy appeared next to him and wanted to play with a coconut. Lloyd was about to throw a coconut into the jungle, but then he noticed the Keepers coming and threw the coconut at them. As the Keepers wondered what had happened, Zippy jumped on them to get his coconut, sparking chaos in the village.

Secrets of the Wyldness[]

While combatting Administration Agents at the Monastery of Mysterium, Gandalaria used her crystal ball to generate and fire coconuts at the agents. The spell for generating coconuts however, seemed to have been unintended, as Gandalaria remarked, "Coconuts? That's a first."

When the truck stopped, Jay picked out a cup of noodles and asked Zane to place it into the instant noodle maker while Cole began rummaging inside the boxes to pick out a snack as well, leaving all unaware that the Mechanic had detached his mechanical arm to release him from his binds. Unfortunately, Sora found this act offensive, as it was considered inappropriate to bring noodles from outside the Crossroads during their own noodle cook-off, according to her perspective. After savoring the noodles he obtained from Grab-Barg, Kai joined the ninja in their fight against the Ice Dragons, who had been provoked by Lava-Tony's theft of their eggs.

After Lava-Tony's oven burst, noodles scattered across the Crossroads, resulting in a week-long cleanup. The ninja, covered in noodles, went back to the Monastery and informed Lloyd about the incident. Snowberry Pies[]

“I'm normally a cake guy, but even I have to admit, Arin's pies are the best.”

Snowberry Pies are a type of pie in the Merged Realms which are made with roasted snowberry filling.

History[]

Dragons Rising, Season 1[]

The Merge: Part 1[]

Arin leaves a Snowberry Pie for the junkyard owners as compensation for the stolen parts. He later bakes another in his penthouse. He uses it to bribe Alfonzo Frohicky into letting them participate in the Mech Master 5000.

Crossroads Carnival[]

Arin bakes a Snowberry Pie at the monastery after training. He enters it at a pie contest at the Crossroads Carnival, only to lose to Grab-Barg again.

Writers of Destiny[]

Arin was feeding Riyu a Snowberry Pie as they waited at the Destiny's Bounty.

I Will Be the Danger[]

Some Snowberry Pies are seen on the desk while Kai was playing video games.

The Last Djinn[]

Some Snowberry Pies were on the ground while Mr. Frohicky was trying to vacuum the recreation room.

The Power Within[]

Arin bakes many Snowberry Pies for the ninja to celebrate closing the MergeQuake Storm.

The Elemental Mechs[]

The Mech Master[]

Snowberry Pies were present at Grab-Barg's stall after Arin was thrown into it by The Mechanic. After the Ninja defeated the Mechanic, they celebrated by stocking up on Garb-Barg's pies, including multiple snowberry ones.

Dragons Rising, Season 2[]

They Gather for the Feast[]

Snowberry Pies were one of the foods present at the feast of the Tournament of the Sources.

Inside the Maze[]

Arin and Frak get Snowberry Pies from a Merlopian vendor in the City of Temples.

The Sword Shatters[]

Prior to Frak and Zur's match, the Ninja gathered together as Sora asked if any of them had seen Riyu. An elemental master walked past carrying a snowberry pie as they spoke, briefly catching Cole's attention. Cole would later get a slice of snowberry pie, presumably from the concessions stand, and was ready to eat it, but would be interrupted by Frak and Sora.

Following the match, Henjamin was seen sitting beside Wyldfyre and enjoying a snowberry pie.

During the intermission during Lloyd and Zeatrix's match, Henjamin and Ellie were seen walking past the ninja and carrying snowberry pies.

The Ultimate Object of Admiration[]

The LEGO Ninjago Movie[]

When questioned by Lloyd as to why he wanted to even conquer Ninjago City, Garmadon thought for a moment and believed it was because he enjoyed a really good sushi restaurant there a long time ago. This led to a brief fight on the subject, where Garmadon believed the restaurant's name was "Omakase," though Lloyd insisted that referred to the style of service.

Tuna Gelatin[]

“Tuna Gelatin, with mints!”

Tuna Gelatin is a type of casserole made by Lobbo, which he claimed to be "world famous."

As its name suggests, it is a casserole whose ingredients implicitly include tuna and gelatin. One particular tray was also specified as having mints in as well. Like all of Lobbo's "world famous" casseroles, it peculiarly belches greenish fumes on occasion.

History[]

Dragons Rising, Season 3[]

Spectral Lands[]

Multiple trays of casseroles were available as part of the "Endless casserole pit" in Lobbo's Totally Rad Arcade, Lobbo-Lobbo. Although Wyldfyre seemed interested in eating them, a horrified Nya discouraged her from doing so. Later however, Wyldfyre would noisily eat from one of the casserole dishes when Nya wasn't looking and Lobbo would also refill one of the dishes with another tuna gelatin casserole, briefly attempting to offer some to Nya who screamed in terror at the sight of the dish.
