“Long before Sensei Wu ever knew who would be the Green Ninja, I knew it would be you. And I knew you would eventually have to fight your father. I dropped you off at the Boarding School so I could go learn everything I could about the prophecy, in hope of one day preventing the Final Battle. Of good and evil. All this time, son, I've been trying to save you and your father.”

Trivia[]
- All known members of Lloyd's paternal family have, or once had powers over all four Elements of Creation, which manifest as Golden Power, Creation, and Energy. While Lloyd gave up his Golden Power, Energy is still more powerful than most normal elemental powers.
- Most of the members of this family have no surname. Wu and Garmadon have no last name, and Lloyd inherited his father's name as his own last name.[1][2] "Uncharted" revealed that Misako's maiden name is "Montgomery," Lloyd's middle name and she took on Garmadon's name as a second last name after marrying him.
- This is different in The LEGO Ninjago Movie, where "Garmadon" is the family surname, as the doormat to Wu and Garmadon's parents' house says "The Garmadons".
- All named members of Lloyd's family (excluding the First Spinjitzu Master) have been turned evil at some point.
- Garmadon was bitten by the Great Devourer, possessed by the Overlord from "Return of the Overlord" to "Rise of the Spinjitzu Master," and was evil again from his resurrection in "Dread on Arrival" until his redemption in Crystalized.
- Lloyd was possessed by Morro from "Winds of Change" to "Grave Danger."
- Wu was turned into Techno Wu by Pythor from "Blackout" to "Enter the Digiverse."
- Misako was briefly possessed by Bansha in "Grave Danger."
- In their family tree in The Book of Spinjitzu, there is a silhouetted image of a woman next to the image of the First Spinjitzu Master. The image is silhouetted because Wu does not actually know if he and Garmadon have a mother or not.[3]
- Tommy Andreasen stated that it's possible the First Spinjitzu Master couldn't create life on his own and instead "learned something from the populations he may have brought in."[4]
- Wu and Garmadon are confirmed to have a mother in The LEGO Ninjago Movie.
- The reason why the First Spinjitzu Master, Wu, and Garmadon have such long lifespans is because of their part Oni heritage.[5]
- As a child, Lloyd had the same hairstyle as Garmadon and Wu in their childhoods. Lloyd and Garmadon shared the same face, while Lloyd also had the same hair color as Wu. Lloyd as a teen originally had the same hairstyle as teenage/young adult Garmadon.
- Hunted could be considered this family's (specifically the First Spinjitzu Master's bloodline's) focus season, as Garmadon was the antagonist and intro character, Lloyd and Wu were the main characters of the two story lines, Wu was the mascot character, and the season explored the First Spinjitzu Master's legacy arguably more than any other season.
