Lloyd's treehouse fortress was a short-lived but massive treehouse located in Wildwood Forest. It was intended to be Lloyd's Serpentine headquarters from which he would take over Ninjago, equipped with many booby traps and a strict "no girls and/or ninja allowed" policy. Although physically imposing, its reliance on three ropes attached to three trees for support was a serious weakness, one that was exploited by the ninja to destroy the fortress.
History[]
Home[]
Lloyd ordered the Hypnobrai to build a treehouse fortress as his new villainous lair. The Hypnobrai chafed at the pettiness of this task, but they were forced into cooperating by Slithraa, who was hypnotized into being a loyal servant. Zane stumbled upon the fortress when he followed the Falcon into Wildwood Forest, and he quickly brought it to the attention of his fellow ninja. Deciding that they couldn't allow the would-be evil overlord to gain a foothold in Ninjago, Kai devised a plan to destroy the fortress by cutting the three ropes holding it up.
With Kai on the roof of the fortress as a lookout, the other three ninja snuck up the trees where the support ropes were tied. Zane and Jay quickly cut two of the ropes, causing the fortress to become unstable, but the damage also allowed Lloyd to spot the ninja overhead. Seeing an opportunity, Skales activated a post-hypnotic suggestion he had placed in Cole's mind, forcing the Ninja of Earth to attack his comrades atop the crumbling fortress' roof. With his foes occupied, Skales led the Hypnobrai in a retreat, using one of the fortress' traps against Lloyd when he tried to protest.
As the Hypnobrai retreated, heading for the Monastery of Spinjitzu, the ninja continued to battle their brainwashed comrade as the fortress fell apart beneath them. Fortunately, Master Wu arrived with Nya and Flame, using the Sacred Flute to cure Cole of his hypnosis. The ninja promptly leaped onto the Fire Dragon's back and flew to safety, moments before Lloyd's treehouse fortress collapsed completely.
