The Mech Master 5000 is an annual mech race held at the Crossroads.
History[]
Dragons Rising, Season 1[]
The Merge: Part 1[]
Arin and Sora enter the Mech Master 5000 to use the prize money to fund their dreams. Arin, wanting to build a monastery for those who lost their parents in The Merge, and Sora, who wanted to build a garage. On the day of the race, the administrator, Mr. Frohicky, tried to tell them to sit out the race, until Arin bribed him with one of his Snowberry Pies, and lets them in. As they get ready, a rival racer, Kreel, has a Whack Rat sabotage their SA Mark 01 while they were away.
The race eventually went underway, with Arin and Sora taking out most of the competition to reach Kreel before reaching her as they were at the finish line. But before Sora could use an upgrade she put in the mech, a steel plate knocks Kreel down, and she saw a baby dragon emerge from a whole before fleeing as he was pursued by the Claws of Imperium, leading to her and Arin ditching the race to rescue him, and the dead last racer, Lobbo, wins the race by default.
After The Merge: Part 1[]
The SA Mark 01 was recovered and turned into a DJ set by the junkyard owners for the Crossroads Carnival after Arin and Sora were taken by the Claws for their attempted interference in rescuing the dragon, Lobbo gave away his prize money to the carnival goers until Kreel sent Whack Rats to kidnap him, claiming the money is hers, but he swallows it all to prevent her, leading to a kidnapping scheme by Dorama, which is thwarted by Arin, Sora, and their master Lloyd.

The following year, Arin and Sora joined Kai, Cole, and Nya in watching the Mech Master 5000 when they forgot to register. However, before the race even began, the mechs were stolen by The Mechanic, who takes them for his own, only to be stopped by Sora.
