The Merlopian Palace[1] is where the Royal Family of Merlopia resides.
History[]
The Tale of Benthomaar (flashback)[]
One day, Kalmaar met with his father in the throne room and asks if the Temple of Wojira is real. Angry, Trimaar forbids him from going to the Tartarus Trench.
In his room, Kalmaar is talking with Gripe and is angry with his father. Gripe tells him that the King has a point about the trench being dangerous. This gives Kalmaar the idea of tricking Benthomaar. Benthomaar is practicing his shots and Kalmaar comes in. He tells him to that he is sorry, for denying him love and that what he did was silly and asks for forgiveness. Benthomaar agrees and hugs to Kalmaar’s disgust. He convinces Benthomaar to go traveling with him into the trench.
The Wrath of Kalmaar[]
After learning that the Hydro Bounty sunk, King Trimaar requested Kalmaar to meet him at the palace, thinking that he could've been the one the sunk it due to his hatred for those who live on land. Kalmaar lied that he didn't and his adopted brother, Benthomaar, agreed. Trimaar let's Kalmaar go, but promised that he would be disappointed if he lied.
Long Live the King[]
The ninja enter the throne room after being taken up by the Maaray Guards. The ninja blame Trimaar's son for sinking their ship, and Trimaar is not pleased with Kalmaar.
After a shouting match, Kalmaar decided to kill Trimaar using his Trident. Kalmaar blammed the ninja for his action and the guards chase after them. Meanwhile, Benthomaar entered the throne room shocked to see what happened. He picked up his father and attemped to get him to safety, but Benthomaar is told that Kalmaar was the one who attacked him and not the ninja. Trimaar then tells Benthomaar to help the ninja and stop Kalmaar.
While the ninja were escaping the palace, the Maaray Guards flood the palace and released the Ripper Sharks. Meanwhile, Kalmaar declared himself the new King of Merlopia.
Escape from Merlopia[]
The ninja, with the help of Benthomaar, found the Hydro Bounty in the hangar bay. There, they fought the Maaray Guards and were able to escape.
The Storm Amulet[]
In the Merlopian Palace, Glutinous comes to tell Kalmaar that he may have found the location of the Storm Amulet and Kalmaar tells Gripe to gather troops to track down the amulet.
