Lord Mogra was the leader of the Red Crows.
History[]
Background[]
In the First Serpentine War, Mogra was once an ally to the Elemental Alliance, but eventually defected to the side of the Serpentine and Chen for desires to be a king. In one battle, Mogra faced Garmadon, who had defected to the Elemental Alliance and easily bested him before attempting to bring him on his side before Wu showed up with reinforcements, including Ray and Maya, and the two brothers used Spinjitzu to defeat him. Mogra was eventually arrested, but not before warning Wu of the "snake in his garden." To reassure his brother, Garmadon dismissed Mogra's words as those of a madman.[1] Mogra was presumably executed for his crimes against the alliance.
Somehow, Mogra eventually returned some time after. Since then, he plotted revenge on Garmadon by planning to take away everything he had and destroy him. After the Oni's invasion, he took Garmadon's helmet after Wu discarded it, and later broke the Sons of Garmadon out of Kryptarium Prison, becoming their new leader and rebranding them as the Red Crows. Mogra and the Red Crows began to terrorize villagers from Two Moon Village, forcing them to make Two Moon Tea and give it to him.
Garmadon Issue 1[]
When Ultra Violet returned to the Red Crows headquarters, Lord Mogra was sitting on his throne. She then told him that Garmadon had returned, what Mogra had asked her if she was still loyal to him, as she had once been one of his generals. When she told him no, Mogra stood up and replied that even though the ride of the Sons of Garmadon was over, the Red Crows shall fly forever.
Garmadon Issue 2[]
Lord Mogra and the Red Crows arrive at Two Moon Village on motorcycles. When Renzo asks Mogra if he is there for the tea, Mogra replies that he is just there for a social visit. Mogra asks if the village has had any visitors lately, but when refused he asks again using a description of Garmadon's appearance. Renzo admits in a panic to having seen him. Mogra tells Renzo to calm himself, and says he'd just like to leave him a message. Later, Mogra and the rest of the Red Crows overrun Two Moon Village and burn it down.
Garmadon Issue 3[]
Lord Mogra attacks Garmadon in Two Moon Village. He orders Ultra Violet to finish loading up the Two Moon Tea. Mogra gets angry after Garmadon orders Ultra Violet to find his drumstick, which she does. Mogra says he's used Garmadon's army and reputation to make the Two Moon Villagers to do his bidding, giving them nothing in return.
Mogra says he will crush Garmadon and begin his reign. The two fight, damaging the village. Both Mogra and Garmadon use Two Moon Tea in the fight. Mogra brings Garmadon into the sky, asking if Garmadon recognises him. Garmadon recognises Mogra's voice, before getting burnt and launched down to earth.
Garmadon Issue 4[]
Mogra tells the Two Moon villagers that he restored peace and defeated Garmadon. He then says he and the Red Crows will make their permanant base in the village, which he renames to "New Mograton". He then gets Ultra Violet's report that there's no sign of Garmadon.

Behind the scenes[]
- Mogra is inspired by Tengu, Japanese mythological creatures.[2]
- In Garmadon Issue 2, it was mentioned in the sketchbook that Mogra's ultimate form is that of a crow. This is a nod to the earlier portrayals of the Tengu, who were known for their ability to transform into birds of prey.
Trivia[]
- Mogra wears the helmet that Garmadon wore after his resurrection in Season 8.
- Mogra's throne bears a close resemblance to Garmadon's throne from Season 9.
- He is the third character to have the title of Lord, the first being Garmadon and the second being Belgrave.
- Mogra shares some similarities with Samukai:
- Both are antagonists who shared a history with Garmadon and Wu prior to Garmadon's banishment to the Underworld.
- Both wield some type of bone axe.
- Both are ultimately overpowered by objects that were supposed to make them more powerful than Garmadon (in Samukai's case, the Golden Weapons, and in Mogra's case, the Two Moon Tea).
- Mogra is also the opposite of Samukai in that he took Garmadon's army and helmet, just as Garmadon took Samukai's army and helmet after he was banished to the Underworld.
