History[]
The Curse of the Cat-Eye Jewel (Flashback)[]
Around the start of Wu and Garmadon's journey, Nineko encountered the Sons of the First Spinjitzu Master traversing a forest, one that some of the monsters she had previously summoned now resided in. When the brothers were about to be devoured by one of the creatures, Nineko used her umbrella to fight off the beast.
Later, when the brothers escaped from the Order of Felis and fell off a cliff ledge, Nineko used the umbrella to reach out towards and rescue the brothers. She would continue to carry the umbrella with her up until her battle with the Order of Felis, using it to summon the Warriors of Felis to assist her in battle for the Cat-Eye Jewel. Near the end of the battle however, Nineko slipped against the area's uneven footing and fell off one of the surrounding cliffs, plummeting into the ravine with her umbrella. Although Nineko seemingly survived the fall, her umbrella was left behind and abandoned, being recovered by Dillon and Adara when the pair went to confirm Nineko's death. The two warriors of the Order of Felis then gave the umbrella to Wu, who kept it as a reminder of how he almost lost his brother that day.
The Curse of the Cat-Eye Jewel[]
Jay picked up the umbrella, but Wu snatched it from him to prevent him for using, making the other ninja curious, so Wu has the ninja follow him to Wu's room to tell them the story about his and Garmadon's early lives to explain about the umbrella.
Following Wu's retelling of his story, Jay attempted to use the umbrella to summon the Warriors of Felis as sparring partners, only instead to be drenched by a torrent of rain due to his lack of ability to utilize dark magic.
