Ninja vs Ninja! is the 93rd issue of the Ninjago Magazine. It includes 892293 Golden Dragon Zane and Golden Jay appears on the cover. It was released on the 6th of September in Germany.
Ninja vs. Ninja![]
The Prototype X-1, the Rock Cycle and Jay and Nya's Race Car speed away from the Monastery of Spinjitzu towards Ninjago City. They are on autopilot and heading towards the ninja, who are hiding in a back alley. They are getting ready to retrieve their newest vehicles, which have been apprehended by the New Ninja. Zane, who is flying above the city in his jet, locates the vehicles and sends the coordinates to the others. They board their replacement vehicles and make chase.
The New Ninja think Trustable will be pleased that they’ve secured the fugitive ninja’s vehicles. But then the ninja get the jump on the New Ninja, and soon there is a vehicle vs vehicle fight happening along the road. They eventually end up at Ninjago City’s Exhibition Center, where the ‘Great Flood Memorial Sports Festival’ is being held. Both teams make an effort to avoid the masses and a crowd forms around the side of the road to see the action up close.
The crowd ends up arguing with one another about which ninja team is better and winning the current battle. All ninja involved take no notice as the vehicles ram into one another. The fight eventually moves out of the vehicles and hand-to-hand. The ninja use Spinjitzu against the New NInja, but they use Ninja Marbles against them, causing them to lose control and fall to the ground. As the crowds get closer and cheer for each ninja team, Cole and Lloyd call Zane to get them out of there. Kai senses that fighting the New Ninja further would result in the crowd getting far too rowdy and may start fighting each other. Zane arrives quickly in his jet and the ninja grab a hold of the cable, flying away to safety. The team agree that, ‘sometimes, retreat is the best option’.

Trivia[]
- It’s unknown when ‘Ninja vs. Ninja’ is set within Crystalized, but it appears to be sometime "A Painful Promise" and "Return to Primeval's Eye," as the ninja's new vehicles were confiscasted in the comic.
- Despite Ninjago being an unlicensed theme, there is a character with a realistic skin tone featured in the comic.[citation needed]
- The Dutch version of the magazine, which was released in November, features the character with the realistic skin tone changed with a yellow skin tone.
- This is one of the few magazines that has the name of the issue being the same as the comic's title.
- 70657 Ninjago City Docks appears in the background of several panels.
- The comic marks the first time;
- Yellow Ninja has a speaking role.
- Jay and Nya's Race Car makes it's first appearance in any media.
- A fact section on the Council of the Crystal King implies Harumi does indeed harbour feelings for Lloyd and ‘is not completely evil’.
Errors[]
- The comic cannot fit in the timeline, as it takes place after the ninja's vehicles were confiscated, and Lloyd was not present when the ninja stole them back in "Return to Primeval's Eye."
- Cole uses the Rock Cycle, despite it being destroyed by Kai before they got their new vehicles.
- One of the skaters’ jumpers fluctuates between being green and blue between panels.
- Zane mentions that the stolen vehicles are still in their stealth mode, but they are drawn in their full colours.
