It is likely the project was originally codenamed Ninjago: Monstrosity.
- Similarly, Ninjago: Dragons Rising was called Ninjago: United during development.^[1]
When Kevin Burke was asked if he and Chris "Doc" Wyatt wrote a "Ninjago: Monstrosity" show and if it was canon to Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu and Ninjago: Dragons Rising, he replied with "Maybe... :)".^[2]
Chris "Doc" Wyatt acknowledged the project's existence, saying to wait for an official announcement before he can give more information.^[3]
Chris "Doc" Wyatt stated that this "rumor" regarding a series named Ninjago: Monstrosity has not been correctly reported.^[4]^[5]
