After the Serpentine burrowed underground and accidentally released the Stone Army onto the streets, Gayle Gossip says on TV that the mayor has called for a massive evacuation of the city.

When the ninja come to the Police Commissioner and inform him of the criminal activity of the Sons of Garmadon, he calls the mayor to authorize the raid.

When Garmadon attacked Ninjago City, the mayor has placed a city-wide curfew until further notice.
The Darkness Comes[]
When the ninja arrive to the harbor to take their new ship, the commissioner has a short speech during which he complains that the mayor cannot do this speech personally and that it is a miracle that she was elected. He also wanted to say how bad the funding of the police department was, but he stopped his words in time.
