Nobu is an old friend of Master Wu.
History[]
After witnessing Kai defeat a group of skeletons who were terrorizing her village, Nobu approached the red ninja and thanked him for his bravery. Introducing herself as an old friend of Wu's, she surmised that the ninja was seeking the Sword of Fire and directed him to search for the Vase of the Blind Monkey, then bring the artifact the the Pool of Serenity. Only then, would the answers sought by the red ninja be revealed. Nobu then joined Kai in his search for the Sword of Fire, warning him that the vase was in the possession of the Skulkin and he would have to defeat them in order to claim the artifact.
Later, after using the Vase of the Blind Monkey to reveal the way to the Fire Temple, Nobu asked Kai if he was ready to defeat the dragon that guarded the sword. Although caught off guard and surprised that there was a dragon to face, Kai insisted he was ready and ordered Nobu to return to the village while he challenged the dragon for the golden weapon.
