The Old Guard[1] is a security guard in Ninjago City. He formerly used to work at the Ninjago Museum of History with his colleague Joey until the museum was attacked by Aspheera. Later, he and Joey started to work in the City Bank until the bank was robbed by the Mechanic.
Eventually, he and Joey would start working at Borg Tower for more than a year. After the ninja became criminals, he and Joey were assigned to work at the police impound lot to guard their vehicles.

Powerless[]
The Old Guard and Joey were watching the news in the Museum of History, he and Joey were talking about Aspheera right before she entered the museum looking for the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu, a scared Joe told Aspheera in which exhibit she could find it.
Prior to Upgrade[]
The Old Guard and Joey changed their job's location and were assigned to guard the City Bank at night.
Upgrade[]
The Old Guard and Joey were surveilling the Ninjago City Bank at night shortly before the Mechanic arrived and used his truck's tentacles to attack Joey and the other guard and to steal all the money.
Prior to Level Thirteen[]
The Old Guard and Joey changed their job's location again and started to work in Borg Tower.
Level Thirteen[]
The Old Guard and Joey were working in Borg Tower, unfortunately a bunch of escaped Kryptarium prison inmates including the Mechanic and Ultra Violet stormed into the tower and chained him and his colleague up.
A Mayor Problem[]
In Borg Tower, the Old Guard was sleeping on his chair while Joey was playing a video game, they were too distracted to notice Jay and Cole, who were sneaking in to try to steal Aspheera's staff.
Public Enemies 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5![]
The Old Guard and Joey briefly became swat drivers and were driving an armored vehicle filled with many dangerous artifacts, he and the Joey witnessed another armored vehicle in front of that was being lifted by Zane's jet, he told Joey that he had now "seen it all."
Prior to Return to Primeval's Eye[]
After the ninja became criminals and were arrested for freeing Aspheera, their vehicles were impounded by the police and place at an impound lot. The Old Guard and Joey were assigned to guard them.
Return to Primeval's Eye[]
The Old Guard and Joey were guarding the impound lot. Joey heard a sound but the Old Guard compared their new job to their old one at Borg Tower and told him that their new job is easier. A few minutes later, the Old Guard and Joey caught Zane trying to get inside of his jet, Joey tried to get backup but was unarmed by Master Wu, who apologized to the two guards while locking them up in their station.
