- Not be confused with Nadakhan's pirate crew, the Sky Pirates.
The pirates of the Destiny's Bounty are a crew commanded by Captain Soto, founded two hundred years ago prior to present day before they sunk along with their ship. They were inadvertently resurrected when Garmadon wished for a better crew using the Mega Weapon after discovering Soto's logbook.
History[]
Prior to Tournament of Elements[]
At some point, Soto's crew came into conflict with Chen and his Anacondrai Cultists, as Chen desired Soto's peg leg for his Hall of Fame. The pirates were outmatched and Soto's leg was stolen.[1]
Members[]
- Captain Soto (leader)
- First Mate
- No-Eyed Pete
- Guide Parrot
Culture[]
Pirates live by the code of piracy and steal what doesn’t belong to them. Most pirates seem to have a song to sing. The Sky Pirates also have a game they play called ‘Scrap-N-Tap’. They use flags to represent their crew, mostly use cannons and swords as weaponry and travel by ship on sea.

- The pirates' singing is done by Jay Vincent and Michael Kramer, the series' composers.[2]
- One of the pirates (first from left in the above image) has the same face as the Mechanic before Season 11.
- When asked about it, Tommy Andreasen implied that they are the same character, stating, "What's a pirate to do when his Captain in jail? Work for another crime boss of course!"[3]
- One of the pirates has the hair of characters from LEGO's Islanders theme, while two others have the same hair as Rufus McCallister, originally used on Will Turner from LEGO's Pirates of the Caribbean theme.
- Some of the pirates, specifically the First Mate and the pirate with the Islanders hair, use belt designs from the ninja's trainee suits.
