The prison guards are a group of police officers in Kryptarium Prison.
History[]
Season 4: Tournament of Elements[]
The Greatest Fear of All[]
Prison guards were on duty at Kryptarium when the Ninja visited the prison in search of Pythor, believing that he could provide them insight to defeat Chen and his cultists, who had since transformed themselves into Anacondrai. During their visit, the guard stationed at the prison's lookout spotted Kapau'rai signaling to him outside the prison gates. The guard was then handed a pair of binoculars but realized shortly afterwards that he didn't quite see who exactly gave them to him. He was then knocked unconscious by Chop'rai and the two cultists infiltrated the prison, attacking another guard who declared their arrival over the intercom.
A large force of guards later accompanied Noble to restore order to the prison after the ninja thwarted the inmates' attempts to escape.
The Corridor of Elders[]
Noble and other prison guards were on duty when Cole visited Kryptarium in an effort to recruit the prisoners to help fight against Chen and his army.
Season 6: Skybound[]
Enkrypted[]
Several prison guards escorted the Ninja as they were led to their cell in Kryptarium Prison. The next day, two guards were stationed on duty in the mess hall when The Mechanic provoked a fight with the Ninja. Although one of the guards prepared to immediately break up the fight, the other guard produced two buckets of popcorn and insisted that they watch for a while. When the guards ran out of popcorn, they resumed their duties and broke up the fight in the mess hall.
Season 8: Sons of Garmadon[]
True Potential[]
Noble and the prison guards were physically thrown out of Kryptarium by Killow when a reborn Garmadon broke into the prison and released the Sons of Garmadon.
Season 11: Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu[]
Questing for Quests[]
Prison guards were on duty at Kryptarium when the ninja responded to reports of a disturbance at the prison.
The Absolute Worst[]
Two guards over one's demand for the comic section of the newspaper before the other shows him a conspiracy theory article of the Ninja's disappearance for their search for Zane before Noble tells them off, not to discuss it out in the open, believing the prisoners will overhear them.
Season 15: Crystalized[]
Prison Guards continued to serve their duties at Kryptarium, doing their best to keep the prisoners in line and contained. When Zane, Kai, and Lloyd attempted to break Aspheera out from her cell, multiple guards were put on notice by the alarms and intercepted the ninja and Aspheera when they exited her cell. Although they gave chase, the ninja were ultimately able to escape with Aspheera.
Later, when the ninja were convicted of breaking Aspheera out of prison and hijacking an armored convey to steal her staff, prison guards escorted the ninja to their cells in Kryptarium. The Main Guard also escorted Lloyd to meet a visitor, during which he privately admitted that he and many of the other guards looked up to the ninja and that their treatment of them wasn't personal. Although Lloyd promised that he and the others would not cause trouble for the guards, Lloyd's subsequent actions in attempting to stop a mysterious Kabuki Mask costed him any goodwill he had with the Main Guard.
When Pythor was broken out of prison by Crystal Spiders, multiple guards were deployed to intercept him and the ninja, who also broke themselves out of their cell to stop Pythor. Unfortunately, due to the guards' faith in the ninja at an all time low, the pair pursuing the ninja mistook the ninja's attempts at saving them to be a form of assault.
Some time later, the Main Guard and a colleague were transporting twelve prisoners (including all five incarcerated ninja) onboard a bus to pick up litter on Route 22. As they drove through the desert, the guards spotted an "elderly" man whose van had seemingly broken down on the side of the road. Taking pity on the man and his situation, the two pulled over and attempted to assist him, only to discover to their dismay that the elderly man was in cahoots with the ninja and this was all just a diversion to help them escape! With the prison bus now overturned by a large mech, both guards could only wait for backup to arrive.
The guards of Kryptarium would continue to serve their duties throughout the Crystal King's invasion of Ninjago.

Trivia[]
- In Season 8 and the Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu, they were replaced by police officers, so they wore blue uniforms, but in Season 11, they returned to light brown uniforms.
- All variants of the prison guards use designs from other minifigures:
- The light brown uniforms are recolored LEGO City 2014 Police Officer torsos.
- One of the original prison guard designs uses Aragorn's face from LEGO The Lord of the Rings, without the stubble or mustache and with different eyebrows and added eyebrow wrinkles.
- The other one of the original prison guards uses the face used on Count Dooku from LEGO Star Wars and Saruman from LEGO Lord of the Rings, without the beard.
- As these LEGO City torsos are used in their original blue color on the Ninjago Police, they are used on the prison guards in Season 8 and Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu.
- The prison guard minifigure uses a torso print originating from other Police Officer minifigures as well as a common sunglasses face print from LEGO City.
