- This article is about the pyramid Aspheera was imprisoned in. For another pyramid, see Pyramid.
The pyramid (briefly known as Aspheera Pyramid[1]) is a large stone temple in the Desert of Doom. It was the home of the Pyro Vipers during the First Age.
History[]
Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu[]
Never Trust a Human (flashback)[]
A young Wu managed to convince Garmadon to go to the Serpentine Valley with him. They were caught and placed in the pyramid's cell. While the two are arguing, Aspheera offered to free them in exchange for friendship and Spinjitzu lessons. They agreed, but only Wu held the end of his promise.
Weeks passed, and Aspheera used her newfound abilities to overthrow King Mambo V. Wu and Garmadon used the Forbidden Spinjitzu scrolls to defeat her, and she is put in a cell.
Eventually, the Pyro Vipers died off and were locked in sarcophagi in the pyramid sometime after.
Questing for Quests[]
The pyramid was mentioned by Clutch Powers when he was interviewed by Gayle Gossip, and was behind Gayle while she was talking about the pyramid.
The Belly of the Beast[]
After escaping the beetles, the ninja headed toward the pyramid.
Boobytraps and How to Survive Them[]
The ninja met up with Clutch Powers and after disagreeing, he came along with the ninja to explore the pyramid.
After avoiding multiple boobytraps, the ninja reached a sliding puzzle. While Jay and Nya were solving the puzzle, Zane read an inscription talking about someone's history. After reading, Zane realized it is a Pyro Viper's tomb and told Jay and Nya to stop solving the puzzle, but they were too late as they freed Aspheera. After she had stolen the Elemental Power of Fire from Kai, she spared the ninja and locked them up in chains.
Meanwhile, Clutch Powers, who decided to escape while the ninja were fighting Aspheera, finally made it outside the pyramid, but he was immediately confronted by Aspheera who demanded Powers to take her to the nearest village. Powers hinted at Ninjago City being the closest, but refused to take her. This caused Aspheera to erupt the pyramid with lava. Powers then slid down the walls of the pyramid to avoid the lava before a rock caused him to fly away from the pyramid. In the end, Aspheera got on Fire Fang and rode to Ninjago City.
Ninja vs Lava[]
The ninja were able to escape the pyramid with the help of P.I.X.A.L., before it was consumed by lava.

A Painful Promise[]
After escaping from the Monastery of Spinjitzu, Aspheera returned to the pyramid, where she sat on her old throne and gathered an army of paper origami snakes she had made around her. When the Crystal Spiders came to her and the Kabuki Mask invited her to join the Council of the Crystal King, she agreed and left the pyramid.
Other appearances[]
Balance[]
Chasing after the Legendary Dragon, the ninja found themselves in an illusion of the pyramid and saw the green dragon on the opposite side of the lava along with the Thunder Dragon and the Fire Dragon. The green dragon left through another portal as the ninja attempted to get across the lava. However, they are overwhelmed by which path to take and enemies such as the Lava Monster and Pyro Vipers. Realizing the chaos, Cole was able to find balance and cross the lava. He expected to fight the two dragons, but is surprised they are friendly when the red dragon licked him. The dragons assisted the ninja still trying to cross the lava and went through the portal.
